Chaos reigns for a brief second in the courtyard, as guests mill about. A few more towards the doors, before two step forward; Nova-Columbia's Tribune, Tanya, and her praetorian guard, as well as the Felterian leader, Ivy. Tanya hands Ishtar, who stands frozen in the spot, a steel pistol, and then turns. Maiza smirks at the weapon, a toy compared to her own capabilities. Her eyes flit to ivy, and she lets out a small gasp of shock.

Ivy has a knife, and is barrelling at full tilt towards Maiza with a sick grin on her face. Instinctively, her hand slides down the the black Hazachi-15 automatic pistol at her side. Sidestepping the young girl, she draws the weapon and slams it downward with a vicious strike onto her spine.

As she does so, she turns to the Latiebegestan president with a smirk; "My dear, I am a magician and you are surrounded by the highest quality war machines on Valsora, I suggest you lay your weapon down."

Two security guards move themselves between Evelein and Maiza, blocking her lane of fire, as the the two Zakus raise their heavy weapons.

Lady Koraba doesn't seem moved by Tanya's words to her, simply nodding in agreement. She grimaces as the Primarch passes, and whispers to her quietly; "Please head to the central hall, I don't think the housestaff are in on the coup. I would like to discuss things with you after I secure the safety of our guests-"

She stops there, disturbed by the sound of Maiza's pistol making contact with Ivy. She turns, her lined face filling with concern as she sees the scene in its horror. A shocked gasp escapes her lips, and she yells; 'You idiot! What do you think you're doing trying to harm our guests?!" She pauses, trying to regain her composure, then continues; "Maiza. if you have any shred of respect for the woman you wish to see grand empress, stop the coup, and let the guests back into the palace. There has to be a better time to do this."

Maiza looks at Koraba with a smile. With her silky smooth voice she responds; "My dear, this is a coup, quite simply, now we the best time to pull it off. Ishtar has no escorts, none of here 'elite guard. Of course we would do I now." As she responds, Ishtar steps back into the crowd, turning towards the palace. Staff, in their dark grey uniforms, usher guests into the palace, keeping a watchful eye on Maiza and her insurgents. Koraba herself steps back towards the palace, leaving the assassin standing alone.

Her smile freezes, and with a her silky voice, she calls to her security staff. "Search the crowd, do not let the Empress enter the building at any cost!"

Obeying her whim, the dark uniformed imperial guard move towards the crowd, weapons held ready. Maiza stares on with a confident smile, as the palace staff pause, in to shoot at the crowd to try to keep off the imperial guard.

Near a small side entrance, Zoyral Sivani and his aide move throught he opulent halls of the secondary palace. As they enter a small sitting room, they come upon a young woman wearing the grey inform of the house staff, who looks out of the window, entranced. She jumps as she heard them approaching, and pulls a small sidearm, flailing around with it hopelessly. "Who- What is it?!"

her eyes focus, and she grows flustered, quickly hiding the pistol. "Oh, master Zoyral, sorry. What are you doing in this place?"

Near the parade grounds, where the guests first arrive, Kodako Shugashi, a young age in the Imperial Mobile suit core, lights a cigarrette in the cramped cockpit. Although it was better then nothing, standing at attention for hours on end to serve as a decorative showcase of Imperial ability to waste funds wasn't for him.

A small beep from his condo alerts him, and he looks up with an interested eye at the screens. A message from the Imperial guard stationed be the palace on lookout. An armored vehicle, painted black, racing towards them at full speed.

At first he just looks at the message blankly, before his face slowly slide into a smile. There were twenty mobile suits stationed at the palace, all for show of course. But their ability to serve as an armed guard was still impressive, and now would be the chance to prove it.

Sliding back the controls of the suit, he moves the huge black machine into a firing position, behind a huge elm tree that was about halfway between the entrance of the plaza and the palace. Link up his 120mm semi-automatic rifle, he watches the targeting computers lock onto the small black vehicle.

Target locked. Flicking back a switch, he pulls the trigger. The rifle booms, as it unloads ten high quality high explosive shells into the target. It is obscured by so and fire, and Kodako pulls away, waiting for it to settle so he can survey the damage.
