Pessimism and optimism are about what you expect from the future. I told you about things in the past.

I am a realist. I talk about what is real. What has happened a million times, will most likely happen again a million times. It's how we are programmed. It does nt matter why.

Today a friend in camp told me, it's unfair that I sleep so little and i have so much energy (as others here will tell u i can stay awake for 19-20 hours every day). She was just angry. Why dpes she get tired and need to sleep. Why should I have an advantage over her. The truth is I don't know. I was born with it. I did not do anything or work harder to get this than her. Life was unfair to her and good to me. Is that my fault? Is it hers?

Naturally, if both of us were put in state jobs under military intelligence, or foreign relationships, who do you think would get more responsibility? The man who speaks 10+ languages and needs 4 hrs of sleep? or the woman who speaks 2 with difficulty and is barely awake 14 hours? Once you give me this job, my superior will tell other superiors how useful I am. Do you think they wont try to steal me away for their department? To make their life easier?

When 4 department heads are fighting to get me in their department, do you think I will be at the same level of power and influence as other people at the same level as me? When they want something from their bosses, will they go directly and get rejected, or come to me?

This is how power accumulates, my young friend. It happens time and time again in every group of 10 humans given a difficult job. In govt jobs we always put too much work on the best people. And we always try not to fire the worst. So all the power gets placed in the hands of those people who are actually a little better. They realize how much power they have and they think 'why should i be happy being paid as little as everyone else? im doing most of the work. i'll charge them money'. Do you think other workers will complain? When the guy who helps them get favors from their bosses is stealing? Of course not.

So they start stealing too. Everyone is stealing. Everyone takes a little something. Work gets worse. They teach new people the same thing. Now instead of the 0.001% oppressing the proletariat, the entire govt is doing it. This corrupt government setup starts looking for people in the workers who are more corrupt than others. They offer them the job of helping the state collect bribe money from the workers. So you have an unofficial system of bourgeoisie being created again. Only this time, they work for the state itself.

You see how inequalities quickly add up? It's human nature. Why do we have to kill other creatures just like ourselves, put them in a fire and then break pieces of their body with our teeth, and put them inside ourselves? Why do we need these chemicals we STEAL from other living breathing creatures just to live? Is't it weird? That's what we humans call eating. We all do it. We do it so much we don't see it as weird and random. But it is weird, and it is random. It's just how we are.

It's not Marx's fault. He gave people too much credit. We're just terrible creatures as a society... power always corrupts
