Felterian News Three

Live Situation

Welcome back to Felterian News Three your one and only hope for information on the ongoing rebellions. Yesterday, two rebellions broke out in the south of Felter's main isle. These are the first rebellions since the New Democratic Felter Rebels and we all know how that went... we take a moment of silence for that horrific genocide. These Rebellions have been named to Yellow and Blue Rebellions or the Ûists and Čyeen Mairorists. So far just over 10 million rebels have been identified, 4 million belonging to the Blue and 6 to the Yellow. The Yellow or Čyeen Mairorists are a rebellion focused on a more capitalistic approach towards Mairorism, lead by former minister of offensive military strategy, Čyee. Čyee has been very public about his rebellion, however he insists some very questionable things about the current Mairorist Party and more specifically Marcy Sky and Ivy Sky. On the other hand Û the leader of the Blue Rebellion or the Ûist Mairorists. Ûist Mairorism is a more Communist like Mairorism. Not much is known about Û, however before being banished along with Čyee he was a leader of Felter, for unknown reasons. It is reported that Marcy has burned anything in relation to him. Û has been very secretive about the Blue Rebellion, and very defensive. Together both Û and Čyee have very different approaches to everything however are working together to take control of Felter as a whole. Some speculation points to a plan to divide Felter with a clear straight line on the center Felterian Parallel, dividing it East and West. However both parties have been very secretive towards thier next moves.

Today, something very unexpected happened. At 2:34 in morning today, Felter has appeared to go down a very frowned opon pathway. Today, the first few deaths have taken place at the hands of Marcy. In Sudcor, a blue controled city, six long ranged small sized missiles struck the core part of downtown, crumpling fifteen buildings up towards five hundred meters tall to the ground and killing 40 000 citizens. From the sky it looks like a terrorist attack, a giant hole in a downtown centre, filled with dust, bent metal beams and glass. Charred buildings and remains lie across the outside of the effected area, the Rebellion letting in Ambulances and Firefighters from the main party to ease the situation. A hour ago in Lentelf, 17 million gathered in the eastern portion to have a moment of silence for those effected by the blast.

In response to these attacks, the Blue Rebellion has declared war on mainland Felter, currently fighting with limited trained soldiers and a large militia in a defensive position. Marcy has ordered the military to show no mercy towards the rebels and to bring Û to her in Lentelf City when captured. We believe this marks the start of the 2nd Felterian Civil war. May the bloodshed be minimal. This has been Felterian News Three.

I call upon the nation of Wersh, leader of the Charitian Empire as The Angel of Charity is dealing with internal affairs, to reimburse the families of those who lost their lives ones in this dastardly, violent attack.

May this stand to reason for all nations- dealing with peace through violence is akin to genocide.

It is not recommended.

It is evil."

A citizen in Amjedia is called an "Amjedian"

History

Early history:

Amjedia was inhabited by many tribes. In 700 B.C, Adon Achilles conquered the land, founded Terra Gloria and created the Achillian Empire.

In 325 B.C, a war broke out between the Achillian Empire and the Roman Republic resulting in the end of the Achillian Empire.

In 27 B.C, upon the end of the Roman Republic, Amjedia became a part of the Roman Empire until its fall in 476. Amjedia is then successively invaded by the Vandals and the Byzantines.

The Arab conquest in the 7th century brought to Amjedia the Arabic language and Islam.

Abdul-Hamid Abdul Haq
last king of Amjedia

Many caliphates have followed the country. In 1456, Amjedia became a part of the Ottoman Empire under what was known as the Arab Kingdom of Amjedia. During the Ottoman period, the state enjoyed great growth.

In 1908, and with the beginning of the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the French took advantage of the situation and colonized Amjedia which led to the emergence of armed resistance.

When the last king Abdul-Hamid Abdul Haq took power in 1940, he supported the resistance despite the restrictions of the French authorities.

Finally, Amjedia gained independence on 15 February 1950 after 42 years of war.

In February 1954 following the 4th anniversary of independence of the Kingdom, Abdul-Hamid Abdul Haq announced that the Monarchy is no longer suitable for Amjedia. Hence, a referendum was organized on 6 June 1954 for which the Monarchy was abolished for the Republican regime by 57% of votes.

The Republic of Amjedia (June 1954-):

Transition period (June 1954-November 1957):

In June 1954, and following the results of the referendum, the King Abdul-Hamid Abdul Haq abdicated for the benefit of his Minister Ahmed Salah Saddah who sworn into office at the Amjedian High Tribunal to become the interim President until a new one is elected.

On 15 August 1954, a constituent assembly was elected in order to draft a constitution for the Republic. The constitution was adopted on 25 March 1957 and the first presidential elections took place on 17 November 1957.

November 1957-November 1962: The birth of a democracy:

Following the presidential elections which took place on 17 November 1957, Ahmed Salah Saddah became President of Amjedia.

During his 5 years of presidency, the country has embarked into a comprehensive program of reconstruction and development.

Government policy was to promote education, health and welfare. Agriculture and fishing were also on the list.

Freedom of media prospered and the number of political parties went from 2 in 1954 to 6 in 1962.

Ahmed Salah Saddah had a vision of a developed democratic country combining modernity and originality (Arab and Islamic culture).

November 1962-November 1972: The new face of Amjedia:

From November 1962 to November 1972, Amjedia's economy flourished under the governance of both Presidents Ahmed Kefi (November 1962-November 1967) and Sami Hassani (November 1967-November 1972) who supported tourism and industry.

The major interests remained education, health and welfare. Agriculture and fishing remained the major sectors.

November 1972-November 1979: The red years:

In the elections of November 1972, Ahmed Salah Kamel won the elections and became the fourth President of Amjedia.

A few days later, following his victory, he banned all opposition political parties and outlawed freedom of media. The constitution of the Democratic Republic was also suspended.

Citizens lived 7 years of perpetual fear as journalists and opponents are daily arrested and jailed. Many of them were tortured and executed without any fair trial. Some of them also disappeared in mysterious conditions.

Ahmed Salah Kamel, also went into a politic of regionalism, cutting off support of rural areas.

In February 1978, his Prime Minister Hakim Abdullatif left the government and joined the opposition in exile.

November 1979-June 1992: The green years:

  1. November 1979-November 1986:

4 November 1979 was a memorable day as dictator Ahmed Salah Kamel was defeated by former President Ahmed Kefi who run as an independent candidate. They were both the only candidates in the presidential elections.

Ahmed Kefi designated Abdulhamid Eyad as his Prime Minister. Together, they restored the opposition parties and freedom of Media. Suspended constitution was also restored and amended.

Abdulhamid Eyad, had a lot of ingenious ideas which took off the country from the crisis caused by Ahmed Salah Kamel's dictatorship.

In 1982, exiled ex-Prime Minister Hakim Abdullatif returned to the country and created the Free Amjedia Party (FAP).

The year 1984 was marked by the stabilization of the economy thanks to a great flow of tourists and a fair improvement of the industry sector.

  2. November 1986-June 1992:

In November 1986, Hakim Abdullatif won the presidential elections and became the sixth President of Amjedia for a 7 years term. He maintained Abdulhamid Eyad as Prime Minister who was ordered to form the new government.

Amjedia continued its progress under the governance of Hakim Abdullatif. Fishing remained the major sector, while industry became one of the major key elements in front of agriculture.

In 1990, the constitution was amended lowering the age of candidacy from 40 to 35.

Unfortunately, Hakim Abdullatif didn't finish his term as he was reversed by a coup d'état by Ahmed Salah Kamel in June 1992.

June 1992- October 1994: The return of dictatorship:

On 24 June 1992, Ahmed Salah Kamel declared himself President in a coup d'état. Legal President Hakim Abdullatif, who happened to be his Prime Minister from November 1972 to February 1978, was immediately arrested and executed a few days later (28 June 1992). Prime Minister Abdulhamid Eyad escaped to a neighboring country.

The period from 24 June 1992 to 31 October 1994 was a tough period to Amjedia as it was marked by high corruption and lack of freedoms. Amjedians, unhappy with their living conditions, began protesting in August 1994 calling Ahmed Salah Kamel to resign. The revolution lasted two months during which several protesters were arrested, 600 killed and 3500 injured.

Finally, Ahmed Salah Kamel overthrow on 31 October 1994.

31 October 1994- January 1995: Transition period:

As dictator Ahmed Salah Kamel (A.S.K) overthrow on 31 October 1994, Prime Minister Wahid Hattab became acting President and promised to hold presidential elections as soon as possible. The next day (1 November 1994), A.S.K was arrested and his political party Change Movement Party (CMP) was dissolved one month later.

Presidential elections took place on 8 January 1995 and opposed 4 candidates. Since no one of them won a majority, a second round took place on 15 January 1995 between the two first winners Ahmed El Adel and Monawer Abdulfattah. On 16 January 1995, Ahmed El Adel was declared winner by 58.26% of votes.

January 1995-January 2005: Ahmed El Adel's presidency:

Following the election results, Ahmed El Adel became the ninth President of Amjedia for a 5 years term. He was re-elected in January 2000.
During his presidency, he supported industry and information technology sectors and encouraged scientific exploration.

Civil rights also prospered as the constitution was amended by the parliament allowing religious minorities to have their own representatives in the parliament and to be members in the government. Age of candidacy was also lowered from 35 to 25 believing that young adults are now responsible and can take leadership role.

In May 1997 and after a series of trials, dictator A.S.K was found guilty of various charges and was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Amjedian High Tribunal.

January 2005-January 2019: Amjed Laadili's presidency:

In January 2005, Amjed Laadili became the tenth President of Amjedia and the youngest ever to win the office by election (25 years old). He was re-elected in 2012. Despite being young, he has the sense of leadership. Like his predecessor, he is fond of scientific advancement and technology.

Toyoor1, the first 100% Amjedian satellite, was launched on 22 March 2008 followed by Toyoor2 on 17 June 2012.

7 July 2010 was a memorable day, as the Amjedian parliament voted a legal text allowing prisoners to vote. The text is then added to the constitution.

In 2016, dictator A.S.K was released by the Amjedian High Tribunal due to health issues related to his age (86 years old).

In 2017, the Parliament proposed to change the constitutional article regulating the President's term of office. The text was subjected to a referendum the same year in which it was approved. The article came into force on 20 January 2019.
On 18 March 2018, the Amjedian Space Agency (ASA) successfully launched the 100% Amjedian satellite AdonSAT TG-700.

January 2019-Incumbent (term expires in January 2024): Wahid Khadoum's presidency:

On 20 January 2019, Wahid Khadoum sworn in as the eleventh President of Amjedia after having defeated Jallel Mansour in the second round of the Presidential Elections which occurred on 12 January 2019 (First Round on 22 December 2018).

Greater felter wrote:Ever come across a video on youtube that awakens a new rare emotion? A feeling of warm, peaceful nostalgia. It just takes you out of your worrys, out of the world into a trip of the past, and those times from long ago? It makes you feel sad in a good way, a indescribable slight sadness so weak yet so strong, yet you know and don't know why this makes you sad. The world unites under one roof in your perception and all is safe, content and at peace. It isn't common to come across videos like this, but it is a real gold nugget when you do.

In the mountains, 30,000 men each with tanks, artillery and maybe if we could do mechs which are weak against tanks.

Eh, mechs are not my kind.

But yeah, we can certainly do 3 divisions (which are 30,000 men) with support you mentioned, including air support.

But if you really want to do it in the mountains, the men would be mountaineer soldiers (which are snipers),unless you mean a big ass valley with mountains surrounding the area.

Zukchiva wrote:"What Marcy did today was dispicable. She brought terrorism and violence into the war zone, even though the protest was peaceful and rebellion did not hurt a single soul.

-Zoyral Seveni

"Due to still ongoing investigation, the proper reimbursement has yet to be determined. But I agree with Zoyral on this: If you respond to peace with violence you are not protecting anything.

Marcy, I call for you to explain your actions."
