Read what i sent u on discord. Talking politics and sociology among the kids who frequent this place is ridiculous.
Let me start with what you got right. Regarding low vs highly skilled work, there has indeed been a fundamental shift. And there is far less low-skilled work today, this is true. But this isn't new. In the past, many times over, technological shift and disruption has created and destroyed the concept of human work. AI is and will make some of what we consider today's high-skilled latter obsolete in the coming years. Many of the high skilled jobs of the world will be displaced.
Immigration limits aren't a sensible or logical ideology, they're a protectionist measure. It's always been protectionist. Australia's had it for a while, and it's a country that's pretty empty. The govt in power did that to protect its rural and poor unskilled voting-block. This is against the spirit of what the USA has stood for, and that is exactly what the US population did.
Republicans and corporate Democrats in your country have talked about these things ad infinitum since the 90s. In those days it was Clinton's Democratic regime that was 'strong on border immigration'. This stuff isn't close to new. It always pops up during times of economic stress.
There still are areas in the USA that are barely occupied. The USA is one the least densely populated regions in the world, just like Oz. I have an Aussie passport and it took a total of 2 months to get it. Because I'm the kind of person at whose feet every politician grovels.
Libertarianism, immigration and constitutionality is what the US identity was based on. Stopping people from joining the US isn't the American way. But a nation certainly evolves, and today's Americans bear no resemblance whatsoever to the people who broke from the Brits long ago. How did all this come about?
Politicians always look among piles of humans to find topics and ideas that will galvanize a sizable majority into voting. Since the first settlers, the South of the USA never diversified. Their form of industry did not benefit waves of immigrants and their skillsets, or vice versa. Communities congregated around landowners, Churches and ethnoreligiously identical peer groups. Consequently, and with the Civil War and stain of slavery, most communities based themselves around religion. They shut their eyes to global changes in technology making communication and travel much easier. The era of carpet baggers left the South even worse off. They did their best to hold onto old beliefs they thought were unfairly taken from them, the 1700s and early 1800s. They hated the government, the north, the freed slaves, 'liberal' education, entertainment, technology. Basically anything that wasnt in their historical past, they were paranoid of.
Meanwhile a dozen communities came and settled in the north and the coasts. No community integrated immediately. The Jews, the Italians, the Irish, the Polish, on and on.. Each took 50 to a hundred years to become truly Americanized. The Jewish faith was seen for much of the early 19th century as being poison to Christians. 'They killed Christ' was a common refrain in the 20th century, during Hitler's time. In the 30s some of the Democratic system was actually taking tips from Hitler, and a fair amount of documents exist that show prominent US politicians thought Hitler had a point with the 'problem of the Jews'. Ofc they didn't know the Nazis were cooking Jews in ovens then. Some of the statements of Truman reflect this from that period.
Find someone Palestinian, Japanese or German, 60 or older. Ask them how they were treated in high school and college. How their communities were looked upon by people. If you live in a middle sized US city, it's easy to find such people and get a better view into how the USA works. How cultural assimilation works. None of this is new.
Over time and with generations of children growing up next to each other, they assimilated. People thought to be culturally American today were once weird and the Other. I've traveled through much of the USA. Multiple times. I've met people who thought I was at different times Italian, or Lebanese, or Arab, or Polish, or Jewish. I've spoken in French with bartenders in the French Quarter of NOLA, broken Yiddish with Jewish grocers, and poor Italian with bakers in Little Italy. They still try to exist and talk like they were in the 1900s. No one has a problem with those communities today.
None of this is unique, none of this is new. It always takes time. It always takes empathy. What's unique and new is that today, humans finally have the power of technology to make artificial borders mostly impermeable. A showman and grifter, jumping upon the economic and racial uncertainty in a large swath of people, used an election run to make waves so his reality show wouldn't be cancelled. He won. History will show exactly what happened, and how people got taken. That's what it comes down to.
It takes life experience, travel and lots and lots of anguish to understand what the REAL reasons for politicians' actions are. It can't be read in high school or college level history books. As a species, humans are a pretty uncreative bunch

My discord advice was to let NS be a place of fun and creative imagination, rather than anything bout RL. RL takes a lot of boring reading and patient living to figure out
Imaginary wars are much more fun
Yeesh, I've made more typos today than in a month : ) That's what keeping a laptop on a tree stump will do for ya

Pakitsk, I know you're mad that I left TEP and came back and stuff.. I need to tell you. You are too dedicated to TEP, it's good that you are but the region is now using you and your dedication to TEP... It's actually harmful for your health, I remember when we used to be good friends OOC but then when I left TEP you threw me out and were hateful. Try not to take ingame actions like their OOC actions. I left TEP for my best friend, not because I hate TEP. (though that could be a reason) I went through having to making all my hard work and influence building in TEP all go away. Over half a year of work I made obsolete, because of my dedication to my friend. Now you have dedication to the Region. That means the people who run the region can use you to their advantage. You're being used... If I were you Paki I would take a break. I feel bad for you, you throwing out friends after they leave the region.. It hurts you emotionally, though you might not see it now, but you will see it late down the line. That is also why I returned to TEP, because I have friends in TEP. I'm sorry for making you mad, and all the times I did. Don't take me leaving again as a OOC issue. It's an IC issue. So be mad at me IC, but we can be friends OOC.

I understand you feeling loyalty to Yuno as a friend and wanting to reform things. But I also can't abide someone who, more than once, has shown disrespect to the region and our people. You say I ought to take a break. I've considered it. But my loyalty at the moment is to the East, and I wouldn't call myself burned out sufficiently. I'd gladly drop everything I have against you if you could, with all due respect, stop being an indecisive, whiny person. You yourself said Yuno asked you to stop; therefore, I'm asking you, as a current or former friend (whichever you wish to interpret it as), to let it all go. I wouldn't call you a bad person. You're just a bit too focused on the wrong things. Much luck and good fortune to you.

Zukchiva can't reasonably commend this proposal as you're literally invading a nation that could benefit from this. Or if you dropped the invasion, you were about to invade one.
Good luck though, it's a good idea.

Wait, does responshabeblity include the right to turn squirrels inside out and use them to trap cougars?
If so, I might be interested...

You're giving EU too much credit. If I were to be honest, the JU-EU stalemate is what "killed" the RMB.
If I'm to be honest, the reason the RMB is dying is because people are being more moderate of their time on NS, because arpee is now just running on the same tracks over and over again.
It may not be boring exactly, but it isnt engaging enough for people to spend all their time on it. Which is why activity is so dead.
I'm too bored of this place though, which is why I'm not doing anything to fix it.

I could revolt against Felter and rejoin rmb rp I suppose. However, I was sort of hoping you all could fix this yourselves.

Also, it's legal to ban me now, i'm not in TEP with any of my puppets so I am technically not a citizen. so Fedele, ban me please. I have a marsupial son, but am not a marsupial. also I released a marsupial into your back garden and it ate all the weeds. <_<
