Talitoan History

In an alternate universe, The Talitoan Moral Front Party won the elections of 1990 by finding a way to brutally suppress the main leaders of the Fixing Movement. The party turns the country into a dictatorship, and plans to go through the jungle to find resources for the economy. So a expeditionary force is sent through the jungle in April 12, 1993 to survey the land. What the expeditionary forces find is four tribal kingdoms of Oardondin, Flender, Verra, and Alquin. The government upon hearing the news of rich resources starts to tear down the jungle the kingdoms hide in, though the loggers, miners, and soldiers get more than they bargain for, and end up face to face with sympathizers to the kingdoms and of nature. The Flamer Gang (named after the Flamer plant and for their fast action) (Also named the Native Freedom Forces by Talitoa as a mocking and malicious name) would become the protector of the kingdoms along with well trained natives by Guerrilla warfare. The group is made up of.....

Agent Orange: Real name Salena Hudnell, she is the leader of the group and scouts/saves people along with backup in enemy territory. Salena uses Orange gas as a distraction when needed or maybe to put people to sleep (this is how she got the name Agent Orange along with her deadliness). Salena though is only deadly from behind and prefers to fight like that. She was trained by her Mother (Samantha) for most of her life before Samantha left to another country. Salena is mute due to her vocal region in the brain being underdeveloped, though this helps he be more quiet. Sign language has helped Salena communicate, though she would love the chance to talk again. Sometimes Salena can get fixated on the target and sneak around when not needed. Reading moves is a bit of a problem, though tries to train the sense. Salena is a happy and energetic person who loves to lead the team through thick and thin. Pragmatism and self doubt are problems with Salena's personality. Why Salena joined the Flamer Gang is how she was descended from the spying and sneaking prowess of the Oardondin. Salena rose through the ranks and became the leader thanks to daring espionage and sabotage.

Dynamite: Real name Darcy Odman, she cleans up evidence and blows up structural elements. After the team finishes a mission, Darcy cleans up messes by blowing them up while James guards. Darcy is terrible at fighting, unless it involves an explosive of some kind. Darcy is a dower yet somewhat happy person, pessimistic about the success of the gang, yet happy to serve the civilizations. Odman is fine with being in the shadows and setting up bombs. Joined when she was left for dead, a pyrotechnics expert who was doing some work with a army group, until the group was routed.

Atom Flyer: Real name Piper Lenwick, she flies a missile Helicopter with amazing aim. Piper usually kills large groups of people if needed. She learned to fly by being a part of a news service in 1965 colonial Talitoa and military training from the government. Is a bit shy, preferring to stay in the air, guarding the base or helping in a fight. Loves to blow stuff up to cover up the fact she's killing people. Piper is chaotic good in a sense by a hatred of the authority of the Talitoan government and a kinship with the danger the civilizations are in. Seeing all the atrocities the government made in her time in the army hardened Pipers heart to the cause of Talitoa. Piper would hijack her own heli and would start attacking parts of the army. The Flamer Gang and Piper would meet after a successful raid that brought Piper in.

M.D. Mechanic: Real name Felix Adrian (from the United Federation), Adrian is a master class doctor and mechanic learning from the best university's the world has to offer. Adrian was stuck in the jungle with a car and a suitcase after plane itself was blown up by gangsters under Leroy Brown. Felix learned to be resourceful by tinkering with the car by using random junk in the case (using a toothbrush to clean engines and using clothes pins to hold wires in place). Felix was able to escape the jungle and went back to the United Federation. But trouble brewed in the jungles as family from his mothers side in Verra were in danger of miners. He decided to join the Flamer Gang for how they saved Verra from a counter attack. A more pacifist character with idealism and a soft heart, and joined to bring relatives aid. Felix also feels he needs improvement and looks for pointers when he can.

Pro Old Timer: Real name James Rexamillion. James is an amazing mini-gunner, is really successful sharpshooting with his specially designed implement. Uses a pacemaker to stay alive, and will most likely die if its destroyed. A tech-savvy man that fought in all sorts of wars against imperialism and democratic revolutions. Does dispense tough love and can be a bit trigger happy. He does try to stay up to date on what's going on in the news and in technology. Hearing news of what the government plans to do to the civilizations from his buddies, he headed down with his friends and managed to find The Flamer Gang. James's friends stay behind mostly and train the natives from the four civilizations. James sometimes helps to check his friends for mistakes.

The Helicopter Sniper: Real name Emerson Bow, an excellent sniper, uses a helicopter to help get better positions and to hide better. Emerson can shoot the coin off a persons hand from 2 miles away. The sniper helps to take out targets directly in the way along with Salena. Bow's sniper skills has given Emerson some ego (including some showing off) and is a bit lazy. Always comes through in the end though, and can tell when its time to stop being lazy. Emerson tries to finish the most important jobs first. PTSD haunts Emerson though for the many things lost before joining. Emerson lost both parents and the entire camp Em stayed at (aid workers who tried to help people in the area) when they were mutilated by Leon Brown himself (for the camp interfering in his illegal business). Emerson's sniping ability helped Em survive the jungle until joining up with the Flamer Gang to exact vengeance on the Talitoan government and on Leon Brown.

Desk Commando: Real name Alex Murphy, a defender who knows the area more than the camp. Alex takes care of the paperwork (second hand man to Salena) and makes sure it reaches the proper place. The commando was always doing paperwork of one sort or another for the previous goup, helping to document everything and writing down stuff. Alex does get to fight a lot thanks to the random Talitoan soldier here and there. Alex is by the books, empathetic and has problems with prejudice against Talitoan soldiers. Alex served in the Talitoan army as a agent (working in the team with the old timer) who was learning about the armies plan and surveying the landscape for the groups benefit. Alex was able to find a group the others could join (the Flamer Gang) and would get the others in.

Side characters include the wise cracking Medevac Joel Vargslayer, soldiers from the four civs, soldiers from outside the jungle, and even a Oarfish who sometimes follows the soldiers and contemplates their actions.

Antagonists of the show are....

President Hershall Gray: The fictional leader of Talitoa in the show. Hershall has an iron will, fist, and boot that is used against everybody. At no cost will Hershall stop (only will if there is a revolt). The whole of the nation is his playground and he'll make sure the public views the natives and the Flamer Gang as nothing but terrorists who threaten the "republic". Twords friends of Hershall, he acts reserved and sees the need for resources to help bolster the nation. Although Hershall always was a person who wanted all the power, a road to hell made him worse over teh pursuit of resources.

Leon "Junkyard Dog" Brown: The real leader of Talitoa's biggest and most powerful gang. Leon tends to align himself with Talitoa and it's policies to help keep power over the criminal underworld. The government uses him to help quell dissent while also getting rid of "important voices" in return for a governmental blind eye. Leon's criminal ventures include poaching, theft of valuable artifacts, looting, assassinations, and arson.

Mary Black Jack: The real Queen of the Seas, who covets the rivers for smuggling pirated goods to the black markets of Talitoa. Often tries to raid and loot caravans that don't belong to Talitoa. Mary has a deal with the government to not attack certain ships or caravans in return for a blind eye.

Other villians include Developers, Native Reactionaries (who want a simpler life), Gratelands Sewage, spies, and more.

The themes the show are identity, environmentalism, bilateral looks at the sides, criminality, dictatorship and democracy, culture, war, and some racism.

Timeline: The native resistance was lead by natives and a few people with weapon connections (more or less disorganized), until it became clear the groups needed to work together in June 4th of 1993. Salena came first and became the first leader of the Flamer Gang (came on the same day the gang was formed, became leader in October the 15th of 1993) after months of not having one. Salena would be a great organizer and would help fix the gang along with everyone else that came in (the other characters too around October and November).

Armageddon Jungle: The world doesn't need saving, the natives world does.
