Of course they are, a mere tool to spread the imperialist agendas of those westoid subhumans and humanists. When a human is hanged on a flagpole, they act, but when such acts is perpetrated towards a nonite, they'll be as silent as deep space.

The loss of Nonite's life is not akin to that of a Human's. Even the Alcynus, the endearing servants that they are, understand it is only moral to place their life behind that of any Human.

“Does the defense have more witnesses?”

“Yes we do, your honour.” Yannis would rise again “We would like to call Kostis Ryoras to the stand.”

Kostis comes up to the stand. He is a tall, wiry man with a face that looks like it has seen all things, good and bad. He swears the oath, as all other testimonials have, and then waits patiently for the prosecution to start asking their questions.

“Mr Ryoras. What is your job with the DemGas corporation?”

He clears his throat, and begins. “I am an accountant who runs and manages the finances of the DemGas company.”

“How long have you been in charge of the company’s finances?”

“A little over… hmm… 3 or 4 years.”

“So you’ve filed taxes for 4 years…Just for DemGas, or other companies as well?”

“Just DemGas.”

“Right, so then you know what happens when companies aren’t transparent with their taxes in this country, correct?”

“Yes. I am well aware.”

“Were these consequences thought of when the rest of your financial advisors had met to discuss its reportings during tax season? Especially after Ioannis’s tax raise on companies like DemGas?”

“Absolutely. The tax raise and its associated punishments were always on our minds during tax season.”

“Was it on your mind when DemGas left out,” He opens the file belonging to the DemGas’ finance department seized in a raid. He takes out one of the tax forms, and places it on the podium in front of him. “...Around 950,000 dollars from its filing?”

Kostis is silent for a few moments, before answering. “DemGas’s financiers often under-reported our incomes or cut corners in that manner to save money where we could. Ioannis’s tax raise was too much for us to handle with ease, and many of the executives often feared that if we didn’t have extra money, the company would go bust to the punitive rates.”

“So, we turned to being dishonest to save our finances.”

Yannis got closer to Ryoras’ post, looking down at him with judgemental eyes “So you didn’t care, did you? As long as you made Ms Sekkapis richer, the law didn’t matter, did it?”

“No, well… not really. We kept the law in mind, but our finances were also our utmost priority as well.”

“I’d say that your records show that’s not the case, but I digress..Was the reporting your final decision?”

“It was and wasn’t. The executives often requested that I under-report our finances to the government, among other… less savoury… things.”

“Repeat that for me?”

Kostis clears his throat again. “The executives and I often asked for finances to be under-reported.”

Yannis would give a satisfied smirk. “No further questions, your honor.”

Kostis heads back to his seat in the courtroom, with a slightly anxious face. Did he convey the right message? Was Yannis inclined to believe he was complicit in all of this?

He waits and watches on, as the next testimonial is called to the stand.

Shout out to a New Westmore for writing the witness testimony.

And yes, the ICJ is a circus of democracy-loving twats and whistle-blowers. Pathetic.

What’s with all the ICJ hate. We literally have done nothing.

People really hating on the actions of the ICJ when the last law we signed was like a month ago. And we embargoed a human rights violator.

(I know it’s IC but you guys know the ICJ has done literally nothing. Westmore is like our first case.)

Love Peace and Friendship wrote:The Great Orthodox Catholic Church of Southern Yastreovakia took the time to establish the 'Church of the Gateway', a future organizational entity for Churches on the continent, and began its humanitarian commitments. The Church firstly took some expenditure to buy up some land and turn the institutions into communal shelters. Far from being directly under the watch of the Church, the Church adopted a moderate policy of guidance, allowing mostly an autonomous self management. Furthermore, the Church tried to reach out to the community to help individuals get settled into local institutions in a smooth manner which may or not be present otherwise. The Church then made agreements to temporarily pay for day to day living expenses for the necessary consumer goods that new refugees would need (up to a certain limit), presuming most of them would be left with nearly nothing, impoverished. Of course, such benefits came with the occasional downside of moral and spiritual enlightenment by its clergymen operating in the area (well, the Church did not consider it a downside); however, the Church hopes that such can make up for the moral cost of the crisis and provide a good reputation most of the people in Malvekia.

Where the Church is, the Counictva follows. Where the Counictva is, the Church follows. The two are integral to each others missions... well, the Counctiva at least needs the Church. The Church was perfectly willing to bring the individuals of the Malvekian government in contact with that of the Counictva. However, the first letters back from Counictva officials would respond with was the claim that the Counictva was not a government but a 'Temporary Organizational Entity'. Nevertheless, the T.O.E. is perfectly willing to let the Grand Duchy send its ambassadors to the Counictva for diplomatic negotiations, and do so in return.

As long as all relevant Malvekian laws are abided by, there should be no problem for the Great Orthodox Catholic Church to settle in an propagate itself across Malvekia. In fact we have a non-Sanguis Christian minority in Malvekia, with about 7.8% of Malvekia's population practicing other branches of Christianity. They are largely made of Lauitism (Baptist-equivalent of Christianity from Romanoddle) and Orthodoxy (Orthodox-equivalent of Christianity from Kurikia).

As for diplomatic talks with Counictva, the Malvekian ambassador Elster Amedeo has been dispatched to begin the prelimary session of discussions regarding the formalisation of diplomatic relations between our two countries.

OOC: Is it alright if I keep it short and simple? I don't have much time with all the projects and school assignments going on. I'll just list down a few questions and try to strike some sort of trade deal. Is that alright?
