The world is a bleak darkness that stretches out in every direction. Where it began and where it ends is anyone's guess. The limits of the blue mottled sky, trapped in an endless twilight, is a mystery that may not be solved. The ground beneath his boots feels solid enough, though the sound muffled as he wanders this world. His mind grants it a swift name. Yet another prison meant to control him. Yet, if that was the case... A large hand reaches up and feels the carefully trimmed beard across his chin, a very real and honest face. His face. With his very own hand. He is alone, no other soul that he is locked to, no one to control and consume. The magic in his body has been volatile since he found himself in this space, with no access to aura or the mana spells he collected over these eight years. What has taken its place is... Strange, to say the least. It has no form, and does not follow reason. Crafting his old spells with it has been impossible so far. A lack of understanding on his part of how this new power works, if it even is magic, or a byproduct of his vastly reduced strength.

He senses a familiar presence behind him. He needs a weapon. A hand snaps open as black fire sprouts from it, its core changing to a vibrant green as a sword is birthed from it into his waiting hand. He whirls, raising his new sword over his shoulder and awaits for their fight to begin stage two. Curse this man and his Mentat, whatever he's done to him, he will not give up without a fight, not this time.

Heimrich looks a little different compared to when they had fought earlier, something with his eyes, or maybe the colors of his clothes are a bit off. In either case, he wasn't in his Mentat state. "Hello, Vengeance."

I might need to recruit Nurse for this, but Vengeance's hair is a shade or two darker than this, and his eyes are green compared to his image.

Hoho, it is time

Edit: Can I assume I am to start a reply to this or am I leaving it?

Yeh you can reply.

Heimrich looks a little different compared to when they had fought earlier, something with his eyes, or maybe the colors of his clothes are a bit off. In either case, he wasn't in his Mentat state. "Hello, Vengeance."

After first waking up here, panicked and frantic from the last moments of his old life, Vengeance comes to realise some things about this new prison and the existence he had been granted to him... There were no ulterior voices whispering promises of a body of his own or directives and orders, no jumbled mess of memories fake or real, or the tugging of a second soul furiously trying to subdue him at every turn. This body was silent, his head vacant of everything bar his own thoughts... And the ones currently clogging his mind were of his final moments. "This doesn't make any sense... The last thing I remember was that smug twig using that flashy form to erase my suicide bomb... Then... He was in my head?" He tried to remember what he and Heimrich said within Duncan's mental scape before he just gives up out of frustration.

"Well I'm not part of Duncan anymore... But I'm not in my parasite form either... I'm in the body I made. Same handsome mug... It's my body. But the energy in is... Weird. Not normal... I can't shape any spells with this crap, I can't even use my Godling form or any of my gates. It isn't old magic that's for sure. What the hell is th-?!" The familiar sensation of someone's arrival, the feeling of rage and fear bubbling up inside him with the recognition of who his jailor was. Though he wasn't about to let himself be backed into a corner. Through sheer force of will, needing a weapon to defend himself. The large and blasphemous version of Duncan's family greatsword formed in his hand as he held it over his shoulder as he looked to his jailor and his killer.

He isn't in his mentat form... Aaah if this is his mental realm he's sealed me in it won't matter. He's already tricked me more than once... Vengeance lost alot of confidence in his ability to manipulate the mind with Heimrich's continued mental shenanigans during the Rematch. Truth was, and Heimrich could tell, Vengeance wanted to get as far away as he could from Heimrich. He was just trying to fool himself as he let out a low growl in his voice "The hell do you want? Couldn't just stop at killing me, you had to bring me back to life and keep e as a trophy too huh??"

"If I wanted a trophy I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble." Letting out an exasperated huff, though he well knew this was how Vengeance would react given what his last memories are. In a gesture of peace Heimrich sits down with a grunt, resting an arm on his knee as he now looks up at the wary newly formed man. "No, I've done you one better. In fifteen days you will return to the normal world, in this same body. While you're contained in a copy of my sword, this is your real body. Once you're free though, you're going to have to make a choice that will decide your fate. I won't interfere, nor will anyone else. I'm here to get you ready to make that decision."

Wabacha wrote:"Having to worry about this as well is going to grey my hair in ten years," Wuddy huffs. "But if she says they'll all be awake when we need them, then I suppose I will have to put a little faith in that. I've never met her after all."

"Wabachans are long lived, give yourself some credit." Sam states as he lightly chuckles at the comment. "Twenty years." After poking slight fun in an effort to keep the mood from becoming to heavy he continues. "As far as I know she's never been wrong before, if that helps ease your mind a bit."

Wabacha wrote:"If I wanted a trophy I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble." Warily he watches Heimrich sit down, not entirely convinced this wasn't a trick to mess with him in itself. He didn't trust a word he had to say no matter how casually he sat there and delivered them... But he had to admit. What he had to say certainly caught his attention... But it didn't make any sense to him, why prepare him for the next 15 days and then set him loose?

Even if I spend these next 15 days getting ready to be released, if he does really release me, I won't be strong, all my strength is gone. And if the sword is where I think it is... Duncan's friends won't be far away. I'll be killed whether I decide to let it go or not... Then again he did say he wasn't going to let people interfere. So... What...? He expects me to hash out a truce with Duncan? He'll try to kill me too, no way is he letting me walk away... Vengeance weighed what Heimrich said, getting to think by himself without Salem's whispers in his ear made deciding way more difficult. W-Wait... I haven’t heard anything from Salem at all. If I suddenly appear back on the playing field he might think that I've gone rogue... He wont let me live after that... He'll dispose of me and make a new one. Aaah!! I have no choices, it's death on all f*cking sides! Vengeance says as he brings a hand up to run through his hair and then slowly down his face.

A new thought struck him, Heimrich had as much reason to hate him as anyone else who was there at the Rematch if not more. He did try to personally kill that girlfriend of his like twice during their fight… Vengeance stares down at Heimrich through his fingers. A mixture of insecure speculation and worry mixed in his eyes. “You need me for something. There’s no way you’d bother bringing me back unless you wanted something from me…” He says as his hand rests on his hip while the sword stays rested on his shoulder. “... It’s why you gave me a body. You know the deal Salem cut me after making me, I get a body for my job well done… Now I have one but now I’m indebted to you. Right?” He sure didn’t lose his tendency to be a chatterbox… But he certainly didn’t seem as arrogant now.

OOC: Say, Wuddy's original plan could still work in afew ways. You just need Ex-templar's who can vouch for the Order's corruption. He has an option currently staying in Wabacha in the way of Wilhelm, and two Ex-templar's currently in Zocom in Kirk and Cory.

Currently Wilhelm would be the best bet with him being a historical hero that Zocom can rally behind, though he doesn't have Felix's scars to act as a nice bit of shock value. Cory, while being harder to find, would be a good fit because he died for the order and knows of their corruption far better than most of them by having his puppet Vengeance

Edit: Also I have gone back to Alexander being a gestalt entity, I think the reason he'll have so much power is being of some sort of artifact at its core that shaped the beginning of its existence and let him grow to the strength of S4. [struck]Either that or somewhere in all that is one of the Pilgrims that tried following the star[/struck]

Felix and/or Samantha not being there wasn't part of his original plan. Wuddy was testing Felix to see it he could be one who can step up to the plate when the old guard (ie the CTF) are gone. As of now he isn't ready, not that Wuddy expected it, not after what he'd been through during his formative years. Wuddy understood his current situation and what was really going on his head, which is why he removed Felix from the mission under the guise of being offended by his bad manners. He did get an answer he liked, one that gives reason to believe Felix can rise to become more than he is in the future. Though his time is still coming. So for now Wuddy will continue his political dance, yet another one in stopping Vedrani plots at the same time as stopping a god from doing as he pleases.

Whether he's a living artifact, with power similar to those that can create gods or mold reality like the Wishing Machine seeking to bring all realities under his balance, or a Pilgrim misguided in believing the Star of Man has continued on into another universe and is attempting to follow it by breaching all cosmic law, both are hella.

Hella cool.

Aaah so that was all to test if Felix is going to be someone to take over the mantle someday? Wuddy has a nice gamble going there, betting on the weredragon kid and his dysfunctional family.

I get the feeling this isn't the first time I have heard of the wishing machine but I didn't see anything about it in a quick search. I am torn between the two because I can see both acquiring Cross and seeing that potential in him. Though the Misguided Pilgrim version of Alexander may notice the slumbering legacy seeing as he is already on that path

It takes a moment for Heimrich to choose what he wants to say. He lets the question of debt float a while. "What I get out of it... Closure? Being able to sleep at night, knowing I did all I could to prepare both of you for your final confrontation?" A sigh slips out of him before he slightly changes subjects. "You made one of my closest friend's lives a nightmare for eight years. You twice tried to hurt Alice, you even tried to take the entire Sector out with you more than once." It's a subtle anger in his otherwise calm voice when he mentions Vengeance's attempts to hurt Alice or hold her hostage, the Sector a little less but that's where he lives damnit. However the momentary emotion fades as he remembers the real being who tried to hurt the woman he loves and who tried to kill him. That cursed armored form, that will haunt his dreams for some time. This Vengeance, confused and scared despite his aggressive initial reaction to his presence, was born just today. He couldn't be honest with himself and put direct all of his hatred to a man who didn't do any of it. A man who may never know that he has been dead the entire time he thought himself alive.

"All I should feel is hate towards you and everything you've done. But after all of that... I pity you. While it was only for a month, I know what it's like to be the puppet on the strings. To breathe but not be alive. What I can't imagine is dealing with that for years. At the end of the day," Heimrich sighs, "Duncan and I are on opposite sides of history, caught in a supernatural war. He found a master in a vampire, and I the king of the werewolves. We are bound now to be enemies. Whereas for you, I didn't know you existed until today. Whether or not I forgive you for what you tried to do today isn't up to me to decide. I don't plan on using you, whether or not you believe me doesn't bother me."

You can't reach tomorrow without taking a few risks.

The Wishing Machine is something that was first referenced in the first Hawaii I think, a prize guarded by shadows. It has the power to grant any wish with only one limit at the cost of the wisher being consumed by the Machine to create the wish. The only limit is that you cannot change or undo its cost. There is one person who has found a way to get around that cost, but it will take time to prepare it. It's going to be a big part of the buildup to the Revival in 5000.

They both would see him as a way to break into different universes given his very particular set of skills, skills that make him a Knightmare for universes like ours. Though the Pilgrim is more flavorful. Being that old of a human however would warp him entirely, he wouldn't be able to think like modern men or share the same ethics. Not that a living artifact would either.

Wabacha wrote:"Stu-pendous!" The robot exclaims, not registering Lester's reservations. It also does not react to the rest of the pub turning on the Cookes, looking at them with angered faces. Luckily, the robot isn't looking for more hires. "If you will allow me, I will take you to the initial job location, where you will be properly contracted for the job."

The Ki-0-tron about faces and makes its exit with the same smooth movements that it did coming in. "You two, working with that cursed machine," One of the pub patrons growls at them as he shakes a pint of beer at them, the drink sloshing over and splattering across the table. "You best be careful where you're walking in this city. Tron-lovers disappear real easy around here."

Aria simply ignored the pub patron as she left a few bottle caps on the table to pay for her and Lester's food and drink after that she started to pack up her things to head out into the wasteland to follow the Ki-0-tron. Once everything was packed Aria left the pub leaving Lester behind as he looks at the patrons in the pub give them a angry glare.

"Just so you guys know that was not my idea to work with that tin can! I'll talk some sense into my sister!" Lester said nervously laughing as he quickly packed his stuff up and left the pub to catch up to his sister and grabbing her by the arm.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Lester asked.

"What's the problem?" Aria asked as she turned to face his brother.

"You accepted a job from that tin can that's the problem!" Lester explained angrily as he let go of Aria's arm.

"Still don't see how that's a problem...? A job is a job besides if you actually listened with your ears rather than some drunks you will know that this job will pay really well. Its 400 caps per Merc and since there's two of us that will make it 800 caps do you understand?" Aria explained.

"Yeah 800 caps sound good... But working with a tron is going to be dangerous." Lester said.

"Lest if we survived this long in the Wasteland... Working with a Ki-0-tron isn't going to get us killed. Now come on lets go catch up to it." Aria said as she walked away from Lester to catch up to the Ki-0-tron.

Lester sighed and decided that persuading her isn't going to work and thought to himself.

Fine guess I'll help... Besides its just one job with this thing right? Lester thought as he started to pick up his pace to catch up to Aria.

Whether or not I forgive you for what you tried to do today isn't up to me to decide. I don't plan on using you, whether or not you believe me doesn't bother me."

Vengeance watched Heimrich carefully as he spoke of closure and wanting to sleep at night after preparing them for their final confrontation... A thought he didn't much like considering he was heavily disadvantaged since he didn't have anyone on his side and Duncan had several S-class on his side still. And still he continued to listen to the list of sins he could be held accountable for... He was in no position to ask for forgiveness or in any sort of state of mind to arrogantly say that he didn't feel any remorse for what he had done. But as he was now... There was potential. Even if it was a sort of warped guilt, he was made of an utter fool as he failed consecutively against Heimrich with all the power he held... Only those in the wrong lose. So he must be wrong... "I did what I was told to do and went overboard. I ran rampant with power because it felt good to use it." It wasn't an apology, but still acknowledgement that he went too far. Though for now it was just so he could keep on living.

Though he almost grits his teeth in rage as he hears the one thing he never wanted to hear from anyone. 'I pity you'. He should feel nothing but anger... But he didn't want to die here. That pity is what made Heimrich keep him alive. But that is where he hears something interesting... Whether Heimrich liked it or not, he and Duncan were now enemies on two sides of a supernatural war. And what's more it wasn't going to be his decision on whether or not he forgives him? What the hell did he mean? He won, he has the right to choose. He controls whether he lives or dies... It was the natural way of things. "... So you don't want me to be bound by your strings huh. I don't buy it." He says as his grip on his sword loosens, as it falls and sticks into the ground behind him. "But as it stands I can't just walk away... Both literally and for other reasons. You gave me a body, you let me live after all the horrible things I did to your pal and what I tried to do to the girl you love. I sure as hell don't like it... But I owe you. But that won't help once I'm out of here... Salem will be sure to kill me if Duncan or his friends don't first."

I've decided to make him an pilgrim. It will be interesting to see how he deals with things going forward, we aren't terribly far away from when I want Cross to come for a cheeky brawl

I've put both him and Cross in the superhumans factbook

You do realize Cross would obliterate everyone except Sam, Atticus, and Mentat Heimrich, right? And even then Heimrich isn't guaranteed a win.

Wabacha wrote:The time warrior notes that while she did not escape her crater the first time, his boot met her arms blocking her ribs from being crushed as she enters Super Saiyan. Well timed. With a leap off her with the same fast movement, though she can see nearly all of it now, Zamu goes straight back up in the air, followed shortly by Kali. Though she did not immediately desire to exchange blows with him apparently as his eyes flick to the side and begins slightly moving out of the way of each ki blast that Kali throws at him. Though by the time all the ki blasts reach him, she has already moved and charged a much stronger attack. As soon as Zamu sees it he bats aside the last ki blast and thrusts his hand out towards the Karko Blast, gritting his teeth as he closes his thrust out fist. The air warps in front of the attack, and once the Karko Blast makes contact with it the air bubble explodes, taking her attack with it.

With the subsequent burst of ki that separates the two, Kali may or may not feel Zamu appear behind her, striking at a spinal pressure point with two knuckles. If it hits it would deliver paralysis for just enough time to allow him to spin over her head and heel strike her back down to the earth below with no chance of blocking it. Though she has proven to have a good battle sense, this would be a good test.

With Kali now being in Super Saiyan her senses were heightened and after her Ki blast didn't work she prepared for Zamu's next attack and in a instant Kali turned around ready to block, but before she could she felt the oxygen in her lungs get kicked out as she was punched by Zamu sending her flying in the air before getting kicked down by Zamu making her crash into the ground kicking up dust in the air. In the crater Kali was breathing heavily as she tried to get her oxygen back with sweat and blood dripping off her head.

This guy is intense... I should've blocked when I turned around that attack almost knocked the wind out of me. Kali thought as she groaned in pain standing up as dust surrounded her.

Come on Kali! You fought Demigra before this guy is no challenge I can't give up!

Kali soon went into SSJ2 as she flew out of the cloud of dust and flying high in the sky as she looked down at Zamu as arcs of energy surrounded her body and then started to power up another ki attack a attack that she learned from her father.

"Saiyan Spirit Blast!" Kali shouted as a huge blue beam moved towards Zamu if this attack was able to hit Zamu, Kali would Z Vanish around Zamu and fire multiple ki blast before Z vanishing again above him and kicking downwards to the ground.

If the attack didn't hit Kali would shoot ki blast around her general area kicking up more dust and smoke to cover her as she uses the kicked up dust to hide to try and attack Zamu from behind with a ki laced fist.

((If I messed up do let me know! I don't want Kali to be too overpowered in this fight!))

Well that's correct, yes. But Duncan is nowhere near strong enough in the past to fight him either. Not unless I weave a scenario where the legacy lends some strength to match its alternative vessel

ZOCOM wrote:Vengeance watched Heimrich carefully as he spoke of closure and wanting to sleep at night after preparing them for their final confrontation...

"Are you dense? I said no one will interfere." Heimrich stands back up, now enough on the same page with Vengeance that he can start explaining. "In 15 days, Duncan will be transported to a location of my choosing. You will both be released from the sword's influence and come under mine, which will hide all three of us from anyone watching. There you have three options. Fight til the end when one of you dies, fight until one of you gives up, then I will exile them to a far off Sector with no chance to return. Or, you both decide not to fight and go your separate ways. Whatever you and Duncan chose, I will not interfere. You will both have the same strength, so this is a battle to see who understands their desires and how badly they want them. And I know what you desire. Not all of it was solved by me making you a body or protecting you from Salem. "

Heimrich turns sideways, knowing full well he's about to set off a massive sh*storm of violence. He knows Vengeance's heart, and he's dragging something he thought was well hidden away and all his insecurities out into the open. "You always wanted to believe her affection was aimed at you."

I forgot the "was" in that sentence, oops.

I mean, that's a near infinite boost, and not how that would work. The Legend isn't alive in that sense, it doesn't operate on its own.

The robot stands heads above the rest of the Londoner crowds that move away from its odd presence. It moves slowly, though even at its current rate of locomotion it covers enough ground to force a hasty walk from anyone trying to keep up with it. "I am most pleased that you both decided to enter a contract with the DPG, we need your help more than ever," The 'tron says happily, the food finally falling off of its face screen and hitting the ground. "I was told by Damien to not divulge important and classified information out in open areas, not after the the radbit incident. I see you both are equipped with warm coats to survive the Wastelands, that is good! We will be spending lots of time outdoors."

OOC: You cheeky so and so. I can't believe you picked up on that

BIC: Vengeance just lets out an annoyed grunt as Heimrich calls him dense, if Heimrich explained himself better he would have had a better picture of what he intended to do to keep people from interfering. Though hearing those options, the annoyance drained from him as he looked at Heimrich in some small degree of fear. "Banished with no hope of coming back... Death... Or we reconcile and walk away?" Vengeance replayed those options in his head, if he could get Duncan to back down... He could make him disappear forever. But there was also the worry of Duncan forcing him to back down... Or killing him... Reconciling was the only option that seemed delusional... Absolutely impossible to him. There was no way he could do that, not with Duncan. But getting banished or killed... There was so much he wanted to do once he got a body of his own. There was so much to lose and so much to gain...

Never in his life had Vengeance wanted something before, as he grew thanks to Duncan's influence he became more of a person and less of a tool... Though he was still a tool, and a cruel and power corrupted one at that. But in there were seeds that could become a genuine person. And at the realisation that Heimrich knew of the darkest secret, the greatest desire that he never shared with anyone. His greatest insecurity... Brought to light. Hearing it being said aloud, his face no longer showed fear. His face turned white immediately while his eyes burned with such unreasonable hate and confusion. His arm snaps back, grabbing the sword he just let go of as he anger explodes, ripping it from the ground with the frame of the sword scorched in black fire he brings it in front of him.

Unlike Duncan, Vengeance had a far better understanding of what it meant to hold real power thanks to his short time as a Godling. He snapped from his stood position to being right next to Heimrich with his sword raised over his head along immediately swinging down to cleave Heimrich in two. "HOW THE F*CK DO YOU KNOW THAT?!" He says through furiously grit teeth as one hand let go of the sword handle, he did not know how to shape this new energy like magic. But so far instinct has filled the gaps, and he's been slowly getting to grips with it in the simplest ways.

Wait it isn't? Huh... I'm not sure when to set this fight then. Too early and Cross will be tampering in Salem's plans. Too late and it would be problematic since Cross doesn't have the strength to stop those people unless Alexander steps in

In the crater Kali was breathing heavily as she tried to get her oxygen back with sweat and blood dripping off her head.

((If I messed up do let me know! I don't want Kali to be too overpowered in this fight!))

OOC: Haha you don't have to worry about that, as this timeline isn't yet at the full Time Patroller level that Zamu is in. But that is far from a bad thing as he will be attempting to instill in her during this fight. How far can she go, is Super 2 her highest point or is 3?

Ah, the Super Saiyan beyond Super Saiyan. As she rises above him and prepares the strongest attack of this fight, Zamu does the opposite, his energy disappearing as his eyes lock onto an attack that is now surely death aimed right for him. This is just like how he avoided her attack in the dust storm earlier, letting his power fade away as his eyes close. Embracing death. But as the beam reaches him, his body leaves slow after images as his body twists around it of its own accord. His eyes snap open as a grin flashes on his face as his ki bursts back into the full power. The beam illuminates his earrings and eyes with blue light before it explodes behind him in a massive azure explosion.

But still his strength is that of a Super Saiyan, as he is forced to avoid ki blasts weaving a web of destruction around him, avoiding each by the barest margins despite each having the speed needed to hit him, surely. He does the same as he twists just enough to both face and avoid Kali flashing down and past him, the two looking into each other's eyes in that tiniest instant before Kali drops the distance with intense speed and an explosion of dust and stone from her landing. Though Zamu realizes that it wasn't all just her landing, as the expanding dust cloud is far too large to be coming from just her landing crater. Death approaches from behind as he lowers his power level in a flash, yet still avoiding her strike as he twists about and powers back up with a burst of ki exploding in his hand in between them. "Excellent, excellent! The Saiyans are a race of battle hungry savages, that much is true. Yet within them is a keener understanding of the art of battle. The true art of combat! Show me the limits of your art of fighting!"

Edit: Kali's similar fighter to Zamu in that she's fighting with her mind more than her raw talent. If you are willing Zamu can teach her a bit of his newfound technique.
