The Anti-Deltinian Armed Forces of Liberation – War of Elimination (FALANGE) was made aware about the attacks on Catholic celebrations of Easter in Lyoa by jihadist groups. FALANGE forces marched into the village of Dhula and forced everyone, around 43 people, to stand in the village center. All men and women were executed by firing squad, 35, while the remaining 8 children, aged 4 to 16, were abducted as child soldiers. The entire village was subsequently burned. FALANGE leadership declared that the Islamic Army of Lyoa will be punished for its war crimes and human rights violations.

A deep husky voice answers, though obviously pitch-shifted and manipulated; “In the mouth of the Wolf?” The High King sips his morning tea before coldly replying “May it die.” Almost instantaneously a beep plays, a while later someone else speaks on the phone. It’s a different person though his voice was manipulated in a similar manner as the first man.

“Kingsman at your service.” The man says, despite the measures taken High King Ryunori already knows it was Kingsman Director Nagano Mizuki.

“Mizuki, I want you to report to my study as soon as possible and bring the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) with you.”

“As you wish, your majesty,” Mizuki replied and a second later the line was cut. Conversations between both of them had always been concise, this one was no exception.

Roughly an hour later -

Director of the Kingsmen: Nagano Mizuki, Director of the NISS: Fuse Mayumi, Deputy Director I of the NISS: Saito Daichi, Deputy Director II of the NISS: Maekawa Shichiro bow in front of the High King and greet him. After all the formalities the High King orders the guards in his room to leave.

“Good afternoon gentlemen,” The High King says while reading an Etymological Dictionary of Kanji. He continues “lately Prince Royal Ekuso has been rather impudent as I’m sure you are all well aware, well him among others. Many of them think they can threaten the crown, which is why you all are here. You see I want insurance, a guillotine, an Aragon file if you will. ”

“I-I beg your pardon, your majesty? Guillotine? Aragon File?” stutters Deputy Director Shichiro.

“In the twelfth century, there used to be a King named Aragon who put into law that Heretics were to be burned by fire. I want you four to be my Executioners. Every single high ranking official, every single reian elite, businessmen, mayors, athletes, hell Prime Ministers, every single one of them. I want them monitored, dig up every bit of dirt you can on them. Find everything there is to know about them, their illegal practices, affairs, you get my point by now. That’s my Guillotine, my little Aragon, and I want the two of your respective agencies to do everything in your power to get it done.”

One of the Deputy Directors speak up; “But your Majesty! That would be against the law!” protested Deputy Director II: Maekawa Shichiro

The High King gives him a cold glare

“Shichiro was it? If you think about it lots of things your agency does is probably illegal, I know how much the NISS does under the books, what makes you think I don’t know? What makes this instance so different? Have you forgotten who’s head the crown sits upon? I am the law, I create it, I can destroy it, My will is absolute; Do not make me repeat myself.” The King spoke coldly. In his head, he already knew he wouldn’t even have to raise his tone.

Shichiro having been clearly shaken, he bows profusely and apologises “I beg for your forgiveness my King, I have been insolent for even thinking such!” he repeated at least three times until the High King told him to stop which he snappily did feeling as if his apology only made it worse. Wanting to lighten the air the High King cracks out a laugh and pats Shichiro on the shoulder which he proceeded to grasp tightly, almost painfully even. “What kind of King do you take me for Shichiro to punish a good constituent like you for something so minor? Under his breath, he continued “Emphasis on good constituent.” The rest in the room laugh with him either from genuinely finding it humorous or out of reverence. The High King continued “Anyhow get it done, prioritize members of the extended royal family starting with Prince Royal Ekuso, then on to members of government by influence, you know what to do. Report back to me on your progress every week on a Sunday. You NISS officials are dismissed.” The NISS Directors don’t question it, they gut up from their seats, bow to the High King and leave silently. The High King motions for Kingsman Director Mizuki to come closer and he whispers to him “Make sure no one except for relevant people knows about this, which means everyone that was in this room, excused.” and with that Director Mizuki bows him goodbye and leaves.

“So that’s what the High King is like?” Shichiro quipped at the other Directors; “and you should get used to it” Director Mayumi retorted. “Nothing like the former majesty eh?” Director Mizuki jokingly says; as the four walk along the Palace Walls.
