Depending on the person; does this mean furniture can be anything? Am I furniture?

Are you equipment? No. Therefore, no.

As I have been told, the jobs of the Delegate and the Vice-Delegate are very different in nature. As the presiding official of the Security Council, have you ever found it difficult to encourage endotarting across the board?

If not, what’s something that you believe the Security Council and its members can and should improve upon in the near future?

As some of you probably know, I post weekly updates on our endotarting numbers, including endorsements received and endorsements given. This is an effort to keep things transparent and to hold security councilors responsible. The challenge is maintaining gaps while still being quick to act on new nations joining the WA.

Siwale, who by the way is a master endotarter, once pointed out to me that the average active lifespan of a nation is just a few days. They come in, join the WA, and often times lose interest and CTE in a month. If SCers can endorse that nation and ask for their endorsement in return, they'll usually get it and then can just coast that endorsement for a month. I think if more SCers do that, we'll be in very good shape. That includes me too, I've just been trying to maintain a healthy gap to El Fiji Grande (Please endorse him) so that I don't accidentally overtake him.

Sil Dorsett,

Realistically, what would you say is the number one character trait that separates good, serviceable North Pacificans from great, exemplary North Pacificans? Is it a trait you think people are able to adopt over time or is it something that comes organically depending upon the individual?

Sil Dorsett,

Going back to what I mentioned before I’m talking about your time as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I have a follow-up:

The North Pacific is a region that’s not only the largest, but it’s also amongst the most influential in all of the NationStates world. As our community’s chief diplomat does there ever come a point in time where you believe our voice in other spheres of the game should be louder?

Praeceps wrote:Sil Dorsett, what is the biggest weakness of the SC?

Now, Prae, if I just willingly revealed weaknesses, don't you think someone out there might seek to exploit them? Biggest weakness... internal voting takes a lot longer than it should.

How are you? Like honestly, how's your day going?

Also, Webster's dictionary defines equipment as:
the set of articles or physical resources serving to equip a person or thing: such as
(1) : the implements used in an operation or activity

Furthermore, Webster's dictionary defines equip as:
: to furnish for service or action by appropriate provisioning
equip an army

I have been used in operations or activities and I have equipped people for specific tasks.

I. am. hypothetically. a resource. that. is physically. existent!

Sil Dorsett,

In McMasterdonia’s World Assembly commendation he was recognized for his possession of impeccable skills with regards to diplomacy. Considering that he’s our current MoFA and you’re a previous MoFA in your own right, have you ever observed any tone techniques of his that you thought to be especially powerful?

Sil Dorsett,

I was wondering, in an imperfect world for which we all make mistakes, have you ever made a mistake that gave you the opportunity to further your learning on a subject related to NationStates? If so, what was that mistake and what caused it to occur?

If there’s not been a mistake that you recall, what’s something that you’ve done that you find helpful when it comes to keeping up a consistent productivity output?

Francois Isidore wrote:Sil Dorsett,

A common misconception is that the Vice-Delegacy is a stepping stone to the Delegacy itself, which obviously isn’t the case. Though, having said that, have you ever considered yourself as a frontrunner for the highest public office available given your long-standing dedication and unwavering commitment to the community?

More so, if not, then where do you believe your talents and your set of skills are best utilized in terms of how to most efficiently serve the region?

Can I pull you into the pits to let the others get ahead of you? You've had quite a few questions already.

There's a couple issues I would have to resolve if I ever wanted to be Delegate. There are still a few ministries that I'm not familiar with as far as how their leadership operates and what their staff does. If I want to be an elected Delegate, it's important to have a plan for those areas. Obviously, if I had to assume the delegacy as VD or SCer because of a vacancy, then I'd just have to do the best I could until a new delegate was elected.

You mentioned that you’re a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, one-time even, so let’s talk about what that experience was like for a moment if you will:

Having a healthy foreign policy is undoubtedly a vital component when it comes to the success factor of a Delegate’s administration. What were some of your main takeaways from your time at the helm of such an area of focus and where do you foresee our foreign policy’s vision shifting to in the coming year?

To be honest, administering FA was a low point in my career because I was brought into the ministry leadership without even having served as an ambassador previously. I was basically holding down the fort and giving out assignments. If there were any foreign policy directives, I got them from the Delegate and was advised by Senior Diplomats.

Power Struggle

With the majority of the army backing the King, Leopold III issued an order against the Investors Council to nationalize the military. The Investors Council in turn, moved to file a motion declaring the King to be unfit to rule, on the grounds that Leopold was attempting to sabotage the economy and bring chaos to the people.

However, the investors council had made an error. They had overestimated the loyalty to the councils money. While some stayed, many defected to the Kings Army. With the police and now the army on his side, the Investors Council members were surrounded and arrested, and the paramilitary forces were disbanded.

Sil Dorsett,

Communication is key in any setting that requires mutual trust, and the same can be said for the capacity of a Security Councilor. If you could, detail what your working relationship has been like thus far with the Delegate. Even though your jobs are different is there still that frequent collaboration between the both of you?

Meet the RMB - Season 3

Produced by the Gameside Advocates of The North Pacific

What is this?

After the success of the last two seasons, the ask-me-anything (AMA) series hosted on the Regional Message Board (RMB) will resume once again, this time with a few new faces. This series is meant to allow the nations of The North Pacific to get to know their government officials more intimately. Each week, one government official will spend an hour answering any questions that are asked of them on the RMB.

What kind of questions can I ask?

You can ask anything as long as it appropriate for the RMB! NationStates site rules still apply.

How do I ask a question?

Simply head on over to the RMB during the AMA time slot, and lodge a message with your question. Please make sure to mention the government official in your message so it doesn't get missed.

When does Meet the RMB take place?

Meet the RMB is scheduled to take place every Saturday (preferably) for the remainder of the term. The exact times may vary depending on the government official's availability. Please keep an eye on this dispatch, as it will be updated frequently.

Who will be featured in this series?

This series will be kicked off with AMAs featuring the Delegate and their Cabinet. We hope to expand this event to include the Vice Delegate, Speaker, Attorney General, Court Justices, and other government officials in the near future.

What's the current schedule?
