Velaheria Ends Period of Isolation; Extends Arms to World and Declares Neutrality in Global Conflict

By Yan Reed, SNN International Relations analyst
Updated 11:27 PM NOTZ, Sun Aug 2, 2020

(SNN - Tamseriat Palace, Velaheria) - The years themselves have proven that isolation is a major problem in the world today. Many nations themselves decide to place themselves in a bubble of isolation in the hopes of rebuilding, becoming stronger, helping the people first, or many other reasons not listed. Isolationism is defined, according to the Oxnard Dictionary, as “a category of foreign policies institutionalized by leaders who assert that nations' best interests are best served by keeping the affairs of other countries at a distance.”

However, in many cases, this sends a nation back to Square 1. This is what happened to the nation of Velaheria, which continues to be one of the poorest nations in the world as of today. They have continued to remove tyrannical leaders after tyrannical leaders in the hopes of finding great leadership. They have endured and the nation continues to grow its economy. Recently, they decided to open up to the rest of the world. Emperor Francis released the following statement on the current state of the nation.

"We the Velaherian's are among one of the poorest peoples of the world but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t developing or arent stable, We are among the nations which have overthrown their oppressive regimes. Many nations may say that we are poor and our economy will take years to get better and they may be right.

Yes, we are in a very difficult economic situation with the growth of only 2.7% a year but we are surely on the right track. We currently have peaceful diplomatic trade relations with few nations and we will surely expand that.

And on concerning foreign politics. Velaheria is not gonna participate in any foreign wars rather than peacekeeping missions or humanitarian aids and will not be the aggressor of any conflicts.”

Openly, they have declared neutrality in new foreign conflicts and thus began a new era for the nation. They have also openly expressed their need for trade, much of what they needed as a nation. The reassurance of a new, growing economy to the assurance of neutrality on the global scale.

A new era for the Kingdom of Velaheria has begun.

Seconds ago: Following new legislation in Eraver, the government is avowedly secular.

Secularism is increasing and I avoided the Theocracy and Atheism policy.

Remember my successful remaster of Skundi's opinion piece "Let's face it, NS isn't a very good game"? Well, now my Opinion column is open to the public! Anybody who has unpopular opinions that they want to vent, can contact me and I'll post your articles on my newspaper! I only require it to be a well-written analysis like what Skundi posted.
