When discussing protections, you must also discuss protecting those groups. As a trans woman myself, I think that everyone should get a say,even if the say is saying that trans people arent real "women" or real "men"
It seems like I get at LEAST one issue about repealing socialism every day. (Today it was two.) Very tired of picking options that just tank my economy further apparently just For The Lolz or else dismissing issues. I get it, Max, you're a capitalist, I'm not and I'd still like to be able to play this game and talk about other things occasionally. Capitalism vs. Socialism vs. Communism is not, in fact, the only political decision that matters.
NationStates is fun and all, but its also blatantly pro-capitalist... the issues are full of misinformed assumptions about socialism vs capitalism, and negative freedom vs positive freedom

It might stem from people associating the USSR and China with "socialism", even though those countries were far from it.
Also stems from mostly moderates, economic liberals, etc writing issues over the years. One thing you can do is submit your own issues that push NS in a better direction, as much as the mods/admin/whoever is in charge of approving them may play gatekeeper.
Issues do literally use the word "Communism" interchangably with Socialism. :/
Yeah. The USSR was not socialist, and definitely not communist. People just need to do a bit of research about what the terms mean before they write issues about it
