Got back from lolo's house, even when I cried all the way home.

For the benefit of the rest of us, lolo is the term used in Tagalog and Cebuano for grandfather (cf. the Spanish abuelo or the German Opa).

Pretty alright. I’ve been doing stuff related to applying to university, need to continue drafting my personal statement and narrowing down my choices and talking to my tutors about stuff like references and other relevant things, and yada yada. I’m hoping to apply to Warwick, Queen Mary and London School of Economics, though I should look at Southampton, Sussex, Surrey too; Kent is another option.

However right now my mind’s thinking about lore rather than that lol, but I’ll get to all that soon enough.

Speaking of said lore, I’m thinking about just making the Uni(Vers)e into the early 20th century VE FanT schizotech setting I’ve been wanting.

I’m also going to include a Coptic Egypt for the TL as well as Christian Franco-/Romance-Berber North Africa. I also might let Akeldama move back to Transcaucasia, I don’t know.

WWI was devastating enough to kickstart decolonisation, and involved what remained of France and its allies fighting U.K., Germany, Netherlands and Scandinavia at least. France might’ve allied the decrepit Eastern Roman Empire or Russia, maybe both, as well as Spain.

The magic system is also going to change. I want to make it kind based on ‘channelling’ magical energy from the soul or the source of the soul, though I don’t have many more details about it.

Mom turned 59 and I'm in [DATA EXPUNGED] Manila for 3 weeks. Still worth it, if only because I haven't seen my son in almost a year.

Good to hear -- really happy right now: college doesn't start until 2PM tomorrow, and I have literally no work to do. That means I have a lie-in tomorrow morning. :D

He is; we're the custodial side, at that...and since then, his mother has rarely, if ever, paid him a visit. Granted, COVID is still a thing, but even then!

Do any of your nations use mechas as mechanical cavalry?

South reinkalistan wrote:tbh vers you in LSE would be really funny considering the political dealignment

From what I’ve been told, LSE is very left wing so I’d be very alone lmao

Polish Prussian Commonwealth wrote:don't get eaten by PREVENT

I know how to mask my views when around people lmao, and it’s not like PREVENT actually does anything
The guy who stabbed that MP a week or so ago got referred to PREVENT
He attended like some deradicalisation classes, which had no effect on him

Novaya Equestria wrote:Do any of your nations use mechas as mechanical cavalry?

No, none of my nations use mecha. I prefer tanks and the sort. As for cavalry, living and breathing horses are used, both in war and ceremony (I’m planning to make the setting post-WWI schizotech)

Novaya Equestria wrote:Do any of your nations use mechas as mechanical cavalry?

The Trossach-Confederation has a number of mechs in military service, mostly as support plaforms (rough terrain engineer and sapper work, for example). The far larger part of the mechas in service in the T-C is within the civilian sector: Construction vehicles for dangerous environments, novelty taxis, sports equipment... there are a few applications.
And yes, the T-C has quite an active scene in Mecha-Do. Including with Not!EVAs. ; )

Novaya Equestria wrote:Do any of your nations use mechas as mechanical cavalry?

BGA laughs at those with military mechs and tends to respond with railgun GPMG fire or just ATGMs.

In PPC, proposing a military mech is a method of career suicide for engineers.
