The default flag of Nationstates. c:

FSSS Phaeton added to Secret Space Program fleet

A new addition has just been recently made (in secret of course) to the Fremorean Secret Space Fleet. The ship is the shape of cigar and has antigravity properties. It can fly at Mach speeds without even making a sound. It is set to make frequent patrols. It is similar to the United States USSS Hillenkoetter.

(Do be advised. This was never announced to the public and it never will be unless disclosure happens. The Fremorean Secret Space Program is more advanced than the other more publicly known Space program. More announcements will be made shortly by the Fremorean Secret Space Program [or FSSP for short.] )

Hail Unionists! Everday News has released a new opinion article from the esteemed writer Josephto! It's regarding our current Presidential elections (which can be seen on our regional forums!). Hope you all enjoy it! ^-^

Everyday News Article

A Breath of Fresh Air
By: Josephto, Writer
In the coming days, our Union will face a change of leadership that could shape Union history for the better or worse. The February Presidential Election pits former President Phoenix Coalition and current Vice-President Glaciosia against Senator Nuevo San Miguel and Chairperson Zeneste. Senator Nuevo and Chair Zen offer a stark and relieving contrast to the likes of the former President and current Vice-President. Nuevo and Zen bring a newer, younger, and calmer resilience to Union leadership.

Phoenix Coalition is no stranger to the Executive Mansion, having served two previous terms as President. He was, in fact, the first President elected under our current constitution (1). He only left the Executive Mansion because he was constitutionally barred by term limits. Our constitution states in Article 2, “No person may hold a public office in which the term lasts four months or more for more than two consecutive terms.” Now, Phoenix wants to return, presumably to finish what he couldn’t the first time. Senator Nuevo is the opposite. He has served President Druing as a loyal Minister of Culture. He is an active and important member of the Union Senate. He brings a change to the Union we desperately crave.

That brings me to Phoenix’s running mate, current Vice President Glaciosia. Vice-President Glaciosia has served as Vice-President of President Druing during Druing’s entire term, and Glaciosia has served as a Cabinet Minister for Phoenix before that. He has almost spent the entirety of this Constitution’s existence as a high official of the executive branch. Chairperson Zen is a still relatively new face, having emerged as a Senator not long after the current Constitution was ratified. Zen served Chairperson Thatcher Whitehall as an esteemed Deputy Chairperson, before rising to take the Armchair himself.

The candidacies of Nuevo San Miguel and Zeneste present a new face for the Union. They exhibit a friendly, calm reliance. Additionally, it so far appears as if little to no change at all will come with a Phoenix/Glaciosia Administration, especially since they both have been in the Executive for the entire duration of the constitution’s existence. So, I will end my article as I usually do, with a question. When you go to vote, will you say, “It’s time for a breath of fresh air.”?

This is an opinion article by the writer and does not reflect the opinions of Everyday News nor its Editor-in-Chief.
Everyday News has learned since the release of this article that North Plegia was the actual first President under the Union's current Constitution. We apologize that this fact slipped through the editing process.

The Liberty of Guidance

So many nations of the world waste their time with endless arguing and moaning about so many useless things. In the wonderful and free society we have created, in order to give you true freedom and to not incessantly disturb you with small laws and norms, we have given you the privilege of guided leadership. A beloved leader of the people has the duty and the need to serve the people, decisions that would never be agreed upon has been simplified for the people, so they can live their lives without need for conflict. True freedom is the freedom gained by opening and leaving the uncaring, artificial world of bureaucracy. We can only achieve true freedom when we let ourselves have a peace of mind.

FSS Suicidal Insanity gets itself into more shenanigans...

The FSS Suicidal Insanity recently found not in the water... but on the land. The massive warship was reportedly seen by a fishing vessel to be racing a speed boat. Due to Fremore currently having nothing going on military wise the Commander of the ship was getting bored and decided to make headlines once again. After setting a new record of 215 knots the commander decided to do a victory lap. What he didn’t know is that once again he was in the territorial waters of Bigtopia. After trying to over correct a wide turn it beached itself and turned a resort into a new waterway. A car was totaled in the process and insurance companies are unsure if getting into a wreck with a warship is a legitimate reason. The hull wasn’t damaged at all and was able to go in reverse and be on its merry way.

I guess I’m resigning from being a role player in the rp because I won’t be able to rp for a month or two. Might return after the 2 months, quoting ‘might’.
