Still alive. It turns out that my habit of social distancing has suddenly become a successful survival strategy!

Suddenly, my job as a medical courier became much, much more stressful. This was a bad year to pick to get my life back together.

Please be safe out there. People have the case of the stoopits.

secure….but I am far from safe!!

My company manages medical risks for big corporate clients. As you understand, we're right now in crisis management and BCP across the world.

The idea of trying to change the party from within is a good one, in theory. In practice, it rarely works as the echochamber will eventually run you out.

Wow, how long has that been saved there. Hopefully everyone is safe and well. As a bartender, this is killing me (they shut the bars down for a minimum of 2 months here). :X

I know it. Same around me in R.I. It's been a mad dash treading water. I'm just using the social club kitchen now to do lunch deliveries for menbers. At least that keeps 'something' coming in and keeps me busy, I got cancer nd probably shouldn't be at this but doing squat all would be worse in many ways.

I was applying for temporary work at grocery stores, etc but my doctor put the fear of God in me, so now I just stay home and only go out for groceries and hand sanitize with me at all times. When I found out I have HIV my immune system was already so low that I was diagnosed with AIDS - and while my immune system is back up thanks to ART, it still puts me at a much higher risk apparently.

Hello! I am still alive, if slightly stressed what with the current reign of chaos. BC is doing pretty well considering the other COVID-19 outcomes nationally and internationally. Another year or so and I should also be able to apply for my next post-secondary credential and maybe start demanding some more money for my work!

From my province's top doctor: be kind, stay safe, stay apart, and stay connected!

Greetings! We are sending you some common necessities while you are hunkered down.

**delivers a parcel of canned goods, toilet paper, paper towels, a bottle of bleach, hand soap, hand gel, coffee, and Hershey's kisses**

Given my nation's completely botched response and continued handling of the pandemic, I'm wondering if anyone is willing to sponsor a couple of Americans with a moderate amount of savings to their country? BC sounds like just where we want to be.

I applied for US unemployment on March 16th when they shut down restaurants and bars in my state. I'm still waiting over a month and a half later. It's not looking like we're gonna be open up again until June or July. And yet I still cannot talk to anyone in the state to actually get my unemployment insurance benefits.

It's wild, but not unexpected. Somehow I landed into two gig jobs rather than waiting for unemployment insurance. Bike mechanic two days, hort order cook two other days and medical appointments in between. No time for love!

Well, lost my job. Not to the virus, but to corporate greed. Luckily, it coincides with three months of no rent because of mortgage deal, and that unemployment bonus. I'm fine for a few months while I find something a little less soul crushing.

Man, this sucks. I almost feel guilty for having a stable job and housing for once. To everyone who stayed home in the last election because they didn't like the candidates, thanks for this.

How hard is it to be a hort order cook?? Sakkara. I might be skilled enough LOL (no offence meant)

I've had to cook and bartend at the same time, worst week of my bartending career. Running the bar solo, 14 tables, full bar top and at my busiest had to cook 9 tables worth of food while keeping everyone hydrated.

It's a world of suck out there.

I'M BACK!!! Phew, that was close!

For a bit it looked like you were mostly dead there. But as we all know, mostly dead is still somewhat alive...

I just moved to a new place. I thought "it hasn't been more than a month and a half since I logged in, everything will be fine, I'm taking my time adjusting..."

In other news, I will be redoubling my efforts to be involved in real-world politics. A friend of mine in the organization I'm working on has already appeared on Fox. I am reluctantly optimistic, I think it will yield promising results. Either way, the Vast will hear about it, especially if things crash and burn. So stay tuned!

Heard from a friend that works at the closest hospital to me, their ICU is at 80% capacity again - this time younger folks with covid in their 30s and some in their 20s. :\

Texas' governor has just issued a statement asking people to stay home. Nothing else, just "please."
