I actually have been. I went when I was 14 years old and it was an eye opening experience. There is so much wealth and poverty which coexists and almost seems to feed off each other. Gambling is pervasive, strip clubs are everywhere, and usual advertising rules which protect children don’t apply. It is the height of Western excess and greed. On the flip side, there are some great concerts/shows, the Fremont street experience is amazing and the Hoover dam is nearby and just spectacular. The light shows are epic and the monorail on the strip really great. I won’t be going back in a hurry. If there was ever a modern example of Sodom & Gomorrah, I’d imagine it to be something close to Las Vegas except so many of the locals are just decent, kind, hardworking people just trying to make a living.

I honestly cannot visualize it well; I only see it as the shining city of glamour that outsiders see it as, because that's what I am - an outsider.

There used to be a Conservative party, ‘The Constitutionalist Party’ however because the party founder cte’d the party was deregistered. A number of nations were members. Your best bet at the moment is probably the Reform Party. They’re Conservative liberals. Librerepublic will correct me if I’m wrong however they agree with liberal principles such a democracy, rule of law, individual liberty etc. but hold more conservative stances socially or are the most ‘small government’ of all the other parties...
When you don't get invited to parties, so you have to make your own.
