World Factbook Entry

Comradery. Diplomacy. Equal voice. Political diversity. These are the traits we expect and strive for in the Unions of Fellas or UF. Here we stick together as one and provide advice and companionship for all in the UF. We also try to keep a diplomatic view and find middle grounds in arguments instead of furthering them. We also take an isolationist view of all battles happening outside of the UF. Here everyone has an equal voice and the right to voice their own opinion as long as they treat others with the respect they would want. We also accept any one's political view or how they run their country as long as they treat their citizens with respect and dignity.

It is not un-ehtical to keep track of somebody's shopping habits, and this poses little threat to security. Sure, there should be a limit, but this law all-but outlawed it. In my personal nation state, I do not want any laws limiting this, but I understand some do want them. This law was way too extreme, and if a better one was proposed, depending on how much I see the majority of the states want, I might be for it, but the current one is way out of hand.

Pretty good anime wrote:Alot of it is for the protection of minors information, it entrusts that none can be taken without guardians permission. But this is problematic, first for practical reasons, if they want the help of a ai assistant on there phone for example, every action will need to be approved by a guardian. But also, as the action to repeal points out, it is going to interfere with children who are trying to escape abusive situations. It also makes a general statement for all information, saying "Believing that businesses should not be able to collect data from a customer without the explicit consent of that customer as this is clearly a violation of the right to privacy;". In theory this sounds fun, but keep in mind that every point in your day, where people use information from you (which in this age is alot of your day), you will need to specifically agree. This complicates things too much for the progress that it makes, and also will hurt businesses that use this information to attract, and/or better serve customers. All in all, they make fair points for the negatives, but fail to see that this collecting of information has acted as buildings blocks for our modern world, and has numerous advantages that taken away would make us vulnerable.

Pretty good anime wrote:Even the original creator of the law agrees, and thinks that was too extreme, saying: "I will be voting for as many flaws have been brought to me after the target went to vote and will be hoping to draft a replacement".

Thanks for the explanation!

This law is comparable to the EU-GDPR, which has brought more consumer rights and protection from exploitation of personal data. Removing it completely (as proposed) would simply leave consumers at the mercy of multinational corporations.

Pretty good anime

We survived for years without it, as the original proposer says, he is going to draft a new one, which will probably be more reasonable and get approved, there is really no reason not to do this.

Pretty good anime

Well, the previous act was repealed, good job everyone.
