I got rid of that alergy when I retired. Something is in the air, but not enough to make my alergies kick in too much.

That such a long way off for me, it's not even on the horizon.

Mine is traffic.

Where I live, there are only two seasons in the year; Winter and Road Construction.

and bad infrastructure

Tell me about it. Chicago has the 3rd worst road in the US and I have to drive it every day.

I don't remember Chicago's roads being that bad. Must have gone downhill over the past ten years. Jersey really has bad roads. I'm told that Rhode Island is even worse. I guess, all of the norther states that have bad winters also have bad roads. Depends upon the state's ability to keep them up. Those "Cut Taxes" states really cannot repair roads as much as those states that view highways and roads as being important enough to invest in their repairs and upkeep. Some have bad roads for a reason, usually corruption is involved.

Not so much from upkeep as for design. What was designed and built in the '50s is inadequate for today's traffic and has no room for expansion unless they were to build a second level over the top of the existing roadway.

Yeah the NE has horrible roads but the reason is the water in the ground. The frost heaves create pot holes and those create jarring ride and flat tires and jammed front ends.

There is nothing for it since the morons just patch the road and block traffic while doing it at rush hour. Its like a game of misery, the traffic.

Chicago is second behind Boston for wasted time sitting in traffic. :(
