Kinda the same? A lot of stuff I’ve done is stuff outside of Westphalia, so it took some time to explain what exactly I’ve done lol.

Most of my stuff was in Rhinia (Shock Horror) and before hand. I have never actually been a Westphalian as such.

well you weren't missing TOO much, MOST the best bits are either here or are doing their own thing now. and even my time in westphilia wasn't all that interesting. nah most of the fun interesting stuff came from Despotic Europe and its drama that could only be described as a politically charged telenovela pumped up on frenzied 14 yr olds hijacking roleplay for political benefits. It was fun while it lasted :))

I always got Westphalia seemed a very divided community, but alas, hopefully we can get big. And I can imagine the annoyance but joy of such happenings. ahh the good old days aye

Thank you all for submitting your answers to the survey, I really appreciate it; it has made my evaluation easier in deciding your roles. I also would like to publicly give some more appreciation to the enthusiasm in creating this new region.
My final decision on what roles fit you best will be announced this evening. In the meantime, have a nice day!

Definitely divided. And in more ways than just the rhinia/westphilian split. Westphilia itself was often not the most unified. I kinda hope we can leave that behind as a region.

Why are we still talking about Westphalia? I have come here to help as I thought the region would something besides just another attempt to recapture the nostalgia for a region that I haven't been fully invested in for years. If Veurrfold is just going to be another place for the dissipating diaspora of that region to make another attempt at recreating the 'glory of the old days', then I will go elsewhere for my entertainment, especially if the players I've been trying to avoid simply move here and continue to make my NS game-play unpleasant.

Fair fair, I get the sentiment. I’ll stop talking about it lol. It’s not worth pulling much from a faulted region that’s glory days are far behind. It’s better to look ahead at what we need to do for this region. Which I’m guessing will be starting tonight. Time to look forward!! :))

Anyway what’s are game plan for new recruits? Do we want to be sending recruitment telegrams? If so we should just settle for one. It’s better to have one then none at all. And if we wish to grow this region with players who already play, should we be reaching out to allies in other regions? (This is to everyone not just jerry mander)

We are here to move on, and any old gripes and divisions are to be left at the doorstep

With all due respect I strongly disagree. That policy has left a series of discarded 'museum' regions in its wake as the same problems keep arising. I think this time there should be some discrimination as to who will be allowed to become part of this community. Personally, I think the door to the region should be locked and a policy of vetting be instituted to prevent disruptive players from installing themselves here. I predict that without this policy in place, at least at the beginning, there will quickly be no way of telling this new region from all of the others that have failed due to infighting and grudges that go back for years.

Kinda seems like you are one of the players who would harm the region champ.

The not capitolists

im actually in favor of a more exclusive club this time around. I’m skeptical of a password per say, as i think it’s important for it to be relatively easy to join a region. but I think if there is reason at the moment to not let certain nations in. At the same time, you shouldn’t NEED an excessive amount of “backstory” to be allowed, new players in the mix isn’t inherently bad. In my experience a region with some sort of vetting process isn’t a region ruining aspect.

The hard part is determining who is and who isn’t allowed. I can think of nations that I would never want to join, but my reasoning might not sit well with others, so maybe some sort of checklist that determines if a nation is or isn’t allowed to join. It would have to be just tho, and that might cause controversy later down the road.

And then what about nations that may not contribute much, but still wish to be part of the region? My opinion is that they arnt hurting anything. It really should just be nations that cause issues in the past.

Don't worry, our borders won't be completely open. I'm not going to Cannula's level of not caring who comes in

Okay, then I'll go elsewhere.

Right now we're in the same bin. We all are looking forward to seeing the future of where this experiment goes, and we can't see to it without exercising patience and respect for one another. We all breathe air, we all hate season 8 of Game Of Thrones, and we all should be dedicated to moving forward with this project starting tonight.

I in the very least am, and will not be distracted by little squibbles occurring on the sidelines, but encouraged by the overwhelming optimism that has blossomed in this region, which I will forever hold. So, move with me, move with this region and it's upcoming phases, or go if you think you're not ready. But we will not be shaming those whose region we will share together, not in this one.

When can we expect roles? I am keen to help out and get cracking along!

Apologies for the nagging :)
