Shelly Changes Official Motto to Salute Supreme Leader

This afternoon, the Sacred State of Shelly, under direction of Supreme Leader Cole James William Shelly, has officially changed the nation's Motto from "For the Sake of Coles!"

This was the official motto of the State of Shelly for many years. As a quote from the Supreme Leader himself, the motto was revered across the nation as the most patriotic statement possible, as well as the world of God, according to the Pope of Shellyianism.

The Motto has been changed to "All Hail Supreme Leader Cole Shelly!"

Although, the message is clear, many Shellies have described the Nation's leader as the most benevolent dictator in the world, focusing solely on the purity of the Shellie Race, and protecting the Nation from international enslavement.

The new Motto has been accepted widely and is now the official salute to the Supreme Leader, and has been included in the daily life of all Shellies. Beginning at the age of 4, all Shellies are required to Salute the Supreme Leader every morning and evening, under law C-837. Shellies have been reported as quoting the original Motto as their final words, as the older generations have been reluctant to adapt to the new Motto.

According to bill C-838, not properly saluting the supreme leader is an offence which is punishable by death. There have been no reported offences, as the population of Shelly are extremely devout to their leader.

The original Motto has been removed from the Supreme Court of Shelly in the Capital City of Shelly, and replaced with the new Motto. The original Motto remains on the desk of Supreme Leader, as his motivation to help lift Shelly from the chains of oppression and international enslavement. The Supreme Leader can be seen making speeches, quoting the original Motto often.

Some citizens of Shelly have also been rumored to also coin the phrase when discussing quotations from the Supreme Leader.

"For the Sake of Coles," remains the unofficial Motto of Shelly.

The Official Motto will remain, "All Hail Supreme Leader Cole Shelly!"
