The Embassy is a unique region formed back in 2015, it aims to be the largest connector of diversity amongst regions, connecting thousands to each other through a single point.

We reach out to almost all new regions, offering them a game-side embassy. If we missed you, please, request an embassy!
Our strategy benefits new founders by:
- Giving easy access to useful information and advice
- Providing a place to promote their region, news, and events
- Allowing cross-cultural communications and cooperation

How do I accept your embassy request?

Founders and Regional Officers with Embassy powers can accept. On your region's Admin page, there is a section for Embassies. You'll see the request there. Click the 'Accept' button next to the request, and after three and a half days, our embassy will open.

Embassy requests expire 7 days after being sent. If the request expires, you can request an embassy with us, of course.

Why should we open embassies?

When our embassies open, all nations in your region will be able to post on our RMB. You're allowed to use our RMB for advertising and recruiting, as long as you follow our RMB Guidelines below. Our RMB is also a great place to ask questions. With thousands of embassy connections, there's a good chance someone will be able to help.

Depending on your Admin page settings, (your choice), we may also be able to post on your RMB. We tend not to post often. But we do get to boast about how many embassies we have!

• Avoid excessive CAPS LOCKING, bolding, and underlining

• Clearly state the thing being promoted

• Stay within 5 lines / 60 words

• Link to whatever you're advertising

• Linked polls should be open to all.

• Linked Factbooks / Dispatches must have audience appeal.

• Adverts should target the whole NS audience

Top Tip for New Founders - Remove all powers from your WA Delegate

How
On your region's Administration page, the founder can click the "Modify" button next to the WA Delegate role. Remove all the ticks except "World Assembly", then confirm the changes.

Why
Raiders take advantage of delagacies with powers. Working in teams of two or more, they can install one of their own as delegate. Depending on the available powers, they then change your flag, WFE, tags, and can close your embassies etc. As founder, you can fix all these things afterwards, but it's annoying.

But I want my legitimate Delegate to have these powers
You can create an additional role via the Administration page, and give it all the powers you want (except "Executive"). You can then give that role to the legitimate Delegate - they can hold both roles.
"Executive" allows whoever is delegate to add other powers to themselves, and also appoint other regional officers. By losing this power, there is a downside for the Delegate, but not too severe.

Watch out for
If the founder leaves the region, or CTEs (ceases to exist), the Delegate position automatically gets set to "Executive", and so the region is open to being raided again.

Number of Embassies

Since late 2018, our strategy has been to only request embassies with regions tagged as 'new'. This means regions should never get more than one request from us. The rule was broken on 14th February 2019 though, when it looked like SECFanatics were about to break our record for most embassies. We kept ahead by requesting embassies with all of their embassies.

The Siege of The Embassy

Founder Embassy master ceased to exist on 1 Sep 2018. Six days later, raider Alpha force took the delegacy, and ordered the closure of over 1800 embassies. The magical puppet and A Goblinoid Merchant worked to get support to overthrow the raiders. Volunteers came to help, but, inexperienced, were quickly ejected by Alpha Force. Fortunately TITO came to the rescue, installing Andeddo no taigun as delegate on 8 Sep 2018. TITO ejected the raiders, and cancelled the closure of embassies.

When TITO wound up their operation, The Embassy was vulnerable to raids again because there was no password in place. Adding a password costs influence: 40 points for every nation in the region, or 400 points, whichever is higher. With 30 nations in the region, neither The Magical Puppet or A Goblinoid Merchant had enough points to do the whole job.

The Magical Puppet was elected delegate. They used their influence to eject all the nations who had only recently arrived in the region. Working as a tag team, A Goblinoid Merchant was then made delegate. With fewer nations in the region, they were able to add a password, securing the region.

A week later, on 21 Sep 2018, Embassy Master returned and removed the password. The initial relief of their return faded as 28 days went by without another login. On day 29, it was clear they were in vacation mode. On day 59, new nations were once again removed by Regional Officers. Leppikania was elected Delegate, and had enough influence to add a password. Next day, Embassy Master ceased to exist again. But this time, The Embassy was secure.

	The ambassadors reception	25 Apr 2020	In time for our fifth birthday, minor changes were made to Eastern Tatarstan's design. The black stripe was switched for blue, and the central design was reduced to six nodes, to represent having embassies with one in every six regions.
