WARZONE

The warzone is a continent in the southwestern part of Telrova, situated on the continent of Echoris. The Warzone is a place for nations to battle it out over land, resources, cities, and feuds. Any nation can join in the warzone, but not every nation can survive. The tactical brilliancy and battle prowess of each player will determine their victory or defeat. Let the best general win!

The system is explained below. Directly below is also the Echoris map, including cities, provinces, and province IDs.

SETTING UP

In order to participate in the Warzone project, you will need to begin with a number of things. To get started, just follow the steps below:
  1. First, you will need to apply for, be accepted to, and be updated on to the map. You can find the instructions to get on the map at this link: Make a Claim.

  2. Once you have been added to the map, you will need to fill out the Power Point Ranking Chart, Warzone edition, here: Warzone Edition. More on why that is important later.

  3. Almost done! Next, you will need to apply to New Jaedonstan to join the Warzone project. For now, the number of participants is limited, but it may increase later on.

That's it for getting started. Next, I will explain the system, the map, and the procedure.

SYSTEM

The system is pretty straightforward. The Map, consisting of cities and, more importantly, provinces, is the main venue for the fighting. Currently, only land combat is supported, but ocean battles are being developed. Once a nation lands on the map, they will need to take over the province. The number of cities in the province determines how many native defenders there are. Once you have overcome the native defenders, you have conquered the land! Now, you just need to keep it from the enemy!

You can attack or move once per day with each army. A day is defined arbitrarily by the Warzone moderators but usually consists of either a real-life day or when all players have moved or forfeited their moves. In an attack, each side will be given a roll in a 1d6 setup. The rolls will help determine your output and your casualties. The side with the higher output will win the battle. After each battle, casualties will be calculated. Each province will have the same number of battles as cities; the base number of battles is one. Terrain also plays a part in how the battle turns out; defenders have an advantage on rougher terrain. Be wary of where you attack. See the chart below for some helpful information.

Information

Rolls

Rolls will have two stats added to them: Army Size and Terrain. The higher the roll outcome, the better chances of winning.
Rolls also help determine the severity of the battle and the casualties.

Army Size

The larger your army, the better your chance of winning. However, you also have a chance of losing more soldiers than your opponent.

Terrain

There are three levels of terrain. Level 1: Plains and deserts. Level 2: Hills, forests, marshland, rivers. Level 3: Mountains, forts, beach-landings.
Each level of terrain provides the defenders with a different level of advantage.

Cities

Cities help with the defense of the province. A territory with cities not only provides the defending army with a bonus to their army size, but it also determines how many battles need to be fought in that province.
A territory with 3 cities will require that the attacker assault the province three times.

PPRC Information
You will also need to set up your PPRC. This chart will allow the calculation system to determine your army size and how many troops you can land. Keep in mind that you need a balanced PPRC to maximize your troop number, so don't go spamming out on only military-based statistics.
RULES

There are a few rules that players need to keep in mind. Of course, as this is partially roleplay based, some of the roleplay rules are still applicable, but there are a few new rules that players need to keep in mind.
  • No cheating the system. Obviously, this will be difficult to do, since moderators are involved in most of the steps in this system. However, taking advantage of the system and cheating will not be tolerated and will result in the player being removed from the Warzone system.

  • No arguing with the moderators. The moderators of this system are trained to use it properly. If they tell you that your roll loses or you lose a certain number of troops, do not argue. Repeat offenders may be removed from the system.

  • Moderators may separate alliances or military treaties should they become too powerful.

  • No violent arguing with other players. Moderators will not tolerate arguing between players, especially about Warzone related topics. Those who do may be removed from the system.

  • Inactive players may be removed from the system and have their armies, land, and membership revoked.

Current Warzone moderators: New Jaedonstan, Cle Brait

The system is currently in a Closed Beta Testing phase. Please direct questions to New Jaedonstan.
