Grand Britanny's signature in the style of...

I've done community-based things like this in the past (1 · 2), and they have always been quite fun. After a little hiatus and a new nation, I wanted to do something similar, not only for the fun, but also to interact more with the NS/F7 community again.

Now, I have appropriated signature styles in the past for laughs (see Buhers' final sig). And my own signature doesn't have a lot going on. So the idea came to me that I should make a dispatch adapting Grand Britanny's context into different people's sig formats. And this is that dispatch!

Unlike my previous community-based dispatches, I will build on this one over time instead of releasing it all at once. I will take (most) requests for sig adaption via telegramme, but I will also be adding some against their will.

Anyways, a few notes before we get started:

...Dutch Socialist States. God (allegedly) sent the Archangel Gabriel to Britanny's roy (king), Clement, and told him to (basically) destroy capitalism. Hence begun it's 'Final Trial'. And, I mean, theoretically, I think that monarchism and autocracy could be good with a good leader like Clement, but I ain't betting on the odds of a benevolent dictator showing up lol.

...Burgerslandia. Since you put the name of an older nation of your own, I did too. But I think the colours are still that of Burgerslandia's flag? I assumed so, so I put it in the colours of GB's flag. And remember when I stole your sig with Insulamia right before you f​ucking died? Ah, good times.

...New temecula. Okay, a lot to explain here, so I'll just talk about the not-obvious things. The ⁜ symbol is supposed to represent the coat of arms of the House of Westminster in the middle of my flag. "Crie, cams" is a unique greeting expression I have used on NS (for example here), but mostly in the context of Insulamia. It basically means "hey guys" and is etymologically related to "Good day, comrades". Read more here. The Cyrillic is basically a transliteration of "Cyrillic text for an undisclosed reason", with a wacky transliteration key I invented just now. I really didn't know what my equivalent of "Fine! I'll try to be nicer to y'all peasants. (ס_ס)" would be. I don't have BandLab and I composed my national anthem of Musescore, so I thought it was appropriate. And I'd say East Plate is one of my NS besties.

...Aikoland. I chose this sig instead of Gandoor's because there were just too many fields that I didn't have an equivalent for. I kept the pink colour because I don't believe it's based on the flag colours or anything, it's just nice. The language used for the name and motto is Lincian, a French-based language spoken by descendants of French colonists in and around Lincolnshire. Think of it as Scots but instead of Scotland and England it's England and France. It's not the most spoken language in Britanny but I thought it would be fitting to have a French-based language there too. The civil flag is the common flag of GB, whereas my NS one is the state flag. I don't have a Q&A so I linked my OOC factbook.

...Rhanukhan. The colours are replaced to be of my flag, obviously. I know the text in your sig a Rickroll, but translating to Britannic English wouldn't render much difference (except for maybe "Never gonna give thee up"). I thought about translating to Lincian, a fictional French-based language spoken in Britanny that I made up, but then I wasn't sure what to link to, since I don't really have a factbook on Lincian (yet). So I went with a song/poem from this dispatch to keep it unique, and the song I chose was the Song for the French Bastards. Why? It was largely arbritrary, but I guess it also had four-line verses and was a little humorous too. I linked the poems and songs factbooks instead of the glossary factbook because I thought it was more relevant.

...Kanzlia. Although the name in your sig isn't coloured, I assumed the black and white matched well with your flag, and it would have been different if your flag had other colours. So I set this one's colour to blue, to match GB's civil ensign. I don't really have a tourism factbook (yet) so I put an unrelated factbook. But it is the factbook that you said was your favourite out of mine in that one thread, so there's that. :p

...Beliras. I thought just having the same thing for the peace slogan would be too boring, so I substituted the names and flag colours with those of GB's universe for s​hits and giggles. The quote is funny because Leth managed to spell both "Grand Britanny" and "Brittany" wrong lmao

...Rusrunia. The formatting of your sig is so intricate that I had to rely heavily on the HTML code to figure out how it works lol. I used the colours of GB's civil flag instead of my NS flag (which is the state flag) because I thought it looked better, plus you only have 2 colours in your sig too. I didn't use the "official" motto because it seemed too long. In the OoC section, I replaced my religion with my political beliefs because I'm kind of agnostic and there isn't a really good symbol for that to replace the cross. And though I wouldn't usually describe myself as a "communist", it also started with a C and had a cool symbol as well so I thought it was close enough lol. Oh, and I kept the "G'day" because I'm Australian.

...Trilkassia. I hope most things should be comprehensible if you know a bit about Grand Britanny's lore. Rossely is this timeline's equivalent of the US, or maybe Redtailia; it is (was?) the de facto leader of the liberal-oligarchic-capitalist order. All the factbooks are set on 1 January 2024. The religious language alludes to Clement allegedly being told by the Archangel Gabriel in a vision to destroy capitalism. I replaced the last line for funsies with a reference to the fact that NationStates originated as an ad for Max Barry's Jennifer Government.

Sorry for the long wait since the request, I had other things I wanted to do and kind of forgor about it 💀 Instead of the full nation name (the Royalm of Grand Britanny), I put a full-ish title of the roy (king), Clement, because it was about as long as your full nation name. The only colours I really changed were those of the first line because they correlated with the flag colours; all the other colours I thought were fairly 'independent' in a way so I kept them mostly the same. I also rearranged the order of the lines a bit to keep them in the upside-down-triangle shape. I did not adapt the Yes's and No'o line because I don't really have any equivalent that is as glorious and blessed (maybe the Archangel Gabriel but nah). But I did add another line to warn people about calling this nation "Brittany".

...Archipel Sempi. The ⁜ is an approximation of the coat of arms of the House of Westminster, seen in the middle of the flag of Grand Britanny (among other places). I used the name "the Britannic Isles" instead of "the Royalm of Grand Britanny" in imitation of how you use "the Sempi Archipelago" instead of "the Libertarian States of the Sempi Archipelago". "Verity Vendredy" literally means "Truth Friday" in Britannic English; I translated for the lulz and even though "fact" exists in Britannic English, I wanted to keep the alliteration. As for the Verity itself, I don't have any animal facts so I just gave a fact about Grand Britanny. The islands statistics are technically only inhabited islands, because I couldn't find any specific figures on all islands in the British Isles, and also the numbers were closer to those in the original sig. The line about coats of arms is a fun little reversal of yours on flags; I believe that oftentimes people add too many symbols to coats of arms and make them cluttered and ugly, whereas in medieval times heraldic symbols were largely arbitrary. Now I'm not an absolutist on this matter (or even strongly opinionated at all) but I just wanted to echo the phrasing of your sentence. And I think the rest is self-explanatory.
