Hah, yeah that may be the actual saying. I do enjoy discovering the common sayings that various families have. It's a fun look into their culture. Which reminds me of something that I think is pretty neat:

Basically, it was a large, communal book that a household would keep, writing down favorite passages from books, prayers and Bible passages, bits of poetry, popular quotes and proverbs, family recipes, collected knowledge of plants and herbs, etc. They seem like a very cool family heirloom.

You are correct. It was The NationStates Bunny that had a script that would allow that nation to hop from region to region every Easter.
