Small Ex-GEAH Cell Arrested, Charged with Terrorism Plots
A Small Ex-GEAH Cell responsible for furthering the more extremist viewpoints of GEAH has been found and arrested today. Police and secret agents busted the cell after tracking down several ex-GEAH members and followed them back to a hideout where a bust was conducted after conclusive evidence was found that the Ex-GEAH Cell was plotting a terrorist attack on Humans within the NEF Government such as Human politicians.
Although small, the group's wealth suggests other cells may exist or that the ex-GEAH cell was in contact with some anti-Human cells that were previously busted and they were becoming desperate with their terrorist plans.
The arrested are expected to face trial for plotting domestic terrorism and face years in jail time.
Parliament Unanimously Passes "Equal Species" Act
Despite high tension between Human Governments and the NEF Government for many, if almost countless, reasons which are legitimate concerns, the NEF Parliament has unanimously passed the Equal Species Act.
The Equal Species Act underlines the following:
1) All Species have the equal right to life, liberty, work, pursuit of happiness, basic rights, etc, regardless of their creation, political ideology, or tension with their origin nation's Government.
2) No Species may be banned from the NEF or targeted for domestic genocide. This provision follows the dark, but short lived era, of GEAH which was developing an anti-Human bioweapon.
3) The rights of Species may only be restricted in the event of war or national emergency. Parliament reserves the right to repeal the restriction right of species in the event of a National Emergency by a majority vote if the reason for the restriction in said emergency is found to be inadequate.
4) Specific acts, such as the Russian Security Act, which allows an increase in public monitoring of Russian citizens, which was extended to Stekarian citizens, is to be repealed by this Act due to extensively unnecessary intrusion in daily lives of Equisian citizens.
5) The Death Penalty is to be restrict to extensively abhorrent crimes. Such as WMD terrorism.
6) The ESC is required to give a 1 week warning to any foreign city during a war that has a civilian population within it to evacuate the city. This is to provide the civilian population with enough time to at least get themselves and basic provisions out of the city before beginning an orbital bombardment or eradication of said city. This is to avoid future "Dawn" incidents to the best of abilities without significantly restricting ESC options and firepower. If civilians refuse to evacuate after 1 week from the warning, the ESC is still authorized to conduct the strike after that 1 week. Time to be amended if it is found to be too short or too long.
7) Full ban of Hellenic Governmental officials and Ambassadors is to be lifted. Instead, Person non Grata will be authorized on the ex Head of State and ex Ruler of the Hellenic Empire and may be lifted by the Dragon Empress at any future date. While a moot point due to the Hellenics signing a treaty to ban all Equisian diplomatic staff, the gesture is meant to reduce the usage of full government and ambassador bans by the NEF Government as these run the risk of cutting off diplomatic communications rather than resolving problems that can be resolved.
8) To Amend for the destruction of Dawn and the death of over 20 million people of the city's inhabitants caused by the surprise strike on Reach, the NEF Parliament, in this act, will authorize the destruction of a statue of Kotori Itsuka that was made in her honor during GEAH's time. Furthermore, this statue is to be melted down into alloys that are sold for profit and the full profit is to be sent to the Reach Planetary Government. While not much, the NEF has previously paid reparations for Dawn's destruction in the past but has never made a move to fully condemn Kotori Itsuka's action of its destruction without warning as a statue of her still existed in a museum. Condemnations had been given in the past, but actions to prevent future Dawns were never taken and the statue remained. Until today.
Parades Across Empire! Honoring the Sovereign in a Spike Of Nationalism
The political landscape of Stekarus has seen a large increase of officials proclaiming an “Age of Stek Greatness and Majesty” as citizens across the Empires’s homeland and colonies amass for major celebrations during these turmulous times. But these times are exactly why the people are celebrating.
Some of the more zealous Nationalist Senators state that Stekarus has “won subtle victories amidst the disasters of its rivals”, with the Russians still distrusted by Steks embroiled in a new civil war, the Imperials stuck in a long internal conflict that their emperor hasn’t ended, and the Equisians being isolated along with continuous demolition of “GEAH-wannabes”.
The Grand Sovereign has not commented on the statements made by the Nationalist party, but is happy his people come together, even if the reasons for doing so are more stretched than he expected. He is expected to make a presence at Parades across the Stek Homeland in its major cities.
The HIFS and HAS have seen a new influx of volunteers signing up to join the military, as well as an increase of the workforce involved in overhauling the Stek fleet.
Equis has contested the idea that it is "Isolated" as it still enjoys an Embassy with the Japanese as well as Embassies and treaties, including defensive ones, with the respected Vulpine Nation-states.
Equis is casually ignored by the Stek population.
Temporary Exclusion Zone Around Equis! Several ESC Fleets Deployed To Equis?
The NEF Government and the ESC have announced a temporary exclusion zone is being established around Equis. No ships will be allowed to travel to or from Equis at this time for the next hour or two.
The reason stated for this disruption was that the ESC will be live testing an experimental defensive system to see if it successfully activates and maintains itself for a period of time. Due to the size of this defensive system that has not yet been announced and the possibilities of failure or, as the ESC said, IFF failure that results in unexpected damages, all ships not a part of the ESC military are to be kept within atmospheric levels or lower. Other ships beyond the Luna moon colony are not allowed to approach until the live test is complete.
While stated it may cause a temporary dip in economic activity, the NEF Government and ESC have stated that a successful test will "Revolutionize and massively increase the defensive potential of Equisian planets. Making them even harder to invade and potentially free up fleets for counter-attacks in future wars. Should any come, such as a Manchuvian invasion."
The test is expected to begin within 30 minutes. Enough time for final checks and for ships to clear the exclusion zone.
Shield Appears Around Equis! Government Announces Successful Planetary Shield Activation!
Following a half hour passing, across Equis a bright blue shield began to appear in sections around the world and spread across the planet. In good time, this blue shield encompasses the planet. Fully encasing it in a bright blue, protective glow. Then, several ESC ships fire test shots. Their target is a dummy military base on an island on Equis. Although not the full ESC might, the several ESC ships begin to batter the shield to test its strength for a few minutes. For a few minutes, the shield manages to hold together against a few ESC ship fire. Not the best test, but it's the best that can be conducted on a capital world without causing actual damage.
But the main test was to see if the shield could successfully activate, encase the planet, and maintain itself for several minutes under any form of fire. Even if it was minor. That test, at least, is successful. Meaning a successful breakthrough in planetary shielding. Now, the next step would be to gauge the true strength of the shielding by using a military planet in a military sector where no civilians will be harmed or effected by any orbital bombardment tests.
Despite this, the NEF Government makes a strong announcement. The successful deployment and activation of a basic planetary shielding system means NEF planets can now extend how long the planet can hold out before a foreign invasion force can begin to conduct orbital bombardment or begin landings. While it also means ground-to-space weapons cannot fire until the shield drops, it is a worthwhile trade off as the shield can be activated mid-battle if the stations in orbit are destroyed. Furthermore, it buys time for the planet to organize defensive positions and for fleet reinforcements to be sent en route. Buying precious hours, potentially longer and stalling enemy advances.
Further tests will be conducted in restricted military star systems. The successful deployment of the planetary shield on Equis furthermore means the NEF Capital world is now more defended than ever before.
The Planetary shielding system will now be deactivated and the exclusion zone ended at the same time. ESC fleets will return to normal duties and further tests will be conducted to fully gauge shield strength and power requirements under strain.

Clovis Bray unleashes its Geographic Terraformer Prototype mk.1
In a closed demonstration to its investors at the Bray Planetary Foundation facility on Mars, Clovis Bray demonstrated its new Terraformer, while done on a very small scale, the prototype was successful in its demo, being able to not just carve into ground and change the face of a terrain, it also proved it was able to work on glassed terrain, superheating the glass and transforming it back into its original state.
Clovis Bray researchers where so pleased with the results, the laser on the mk.1 is being reproduced for a mining laser unit.
Bray stated there is still a ways to go before its terraforming any planet, Bray intends to add a Mass Effect Shield to the Large Scale model. So single units can be activated while producing minimal heat, projections show that if multiple of the intended final units worked in unison on a single planet, the units may cause heat levels to rise to uninhabitable levels, while not a bad thing when terraforming, it still wants a model that can work for small scale terraforming.
Major Vulpine Offensive Against Rebels! Yokohama Blitz Begins!
Early this morning, after persistent bombardment of the Yokohama region, a massive landing operation was launched from the Vulpine fleet in low orbit. Relying on aerial superiority, just over forty five thousand Ducal Marines were deployed to try and secure the city and its surrounding territory. While orbital strikes were proven to be effective supporting measures, casualty reports from the front indicate at least twenty thousand wounded or dead, with more expected as the fighting continues. Experts cited the enemy's superior numbers and general technology, as well as being on the defensive, as chief causes for the immense loss of life. However, the Königin has stated she is confident in the will of her vulpine, as well as the ability of the 
Republic Defense Army to support the action with additional manpower to hold the beachhead.
With this action come continued reports of unregistered flamethrowers within vulpine forces, now focused upon the Ducal Marines. Some have called for an Audit of the vulpine military, to determine the source of these incidents.
The NPE forces having who finally taken the other two islands, begin to invade Honshu from the islands as well land troops on the open beach head to support the Vulpine

Operation Autumn Leaves; Iolandian Rifles inserted into rural Kantō region
In order to support their Vulpine brethren, Ukaristi forces have been moved in one swift redeployment from stationary positions on Kyushu, and inserted directly into sites across the Kantō region, Honshu.
A specialised airborne light infantry force, this move seems more akin to that of true special forces, albeit committed to on a strategic scale. Gunship and CAS support is being directed from sites on Kyushu to save the trip through the atmosphere.
It is thought that such a bold strategy may severely disrupt enemy efforts in the region, cutting off a large part of supply lines towards cities such as Yokohama, and force a major redeployment of their forces in order to deal with this sudden guerilla effort.
