Well, the lifestyle itself is not illegal, but many things it involves are, camping/living in national parks (basically all nature in ZH that isn't privately owned or is being used by a company to extract resources) without permission is illegal, same for hunting wild animals and consuming natural resources, you need to get permits, which in the case of camping/living have an expiration date
