Hello Hive members! I am delighted to join your region. My country was formed quite recently, and my people are afraid of the outside world. I, as the leader of my subjects, would like to ask you about where should I lead my people and what further path of development should I choose? I heard about democracy, about rights, about freedoms, but at the same time about religion, spirituality, justice and order. Which way will be the right one? *trying with all his might to play the role of the ruler of a wild tribe*

The two aren’t mutually exclusive. I have above average scores in civil liberties and political freedom, but I also rank third highest in Hive for religion and have low crime rates. It all depends on the specific policies you adopt for your nation and your personal preferences as a leader.

Weapons to be used in response to a nuclear strike or when the sovereignty of the nation is gravely endangered
Don't use them, because they'll destroy everything if you do. And that makes it pointless. That's the policy on paper, at least.

While it must be acknowledged that for the safely of one's citizens against nuclear powers, it is better to have nuclear weapons than not, the truth is they should all be dismantled. My nation doesn't have any and disapproves of any nation having any. The world should ban together in support of mutual disarmament.

This discussion reminds me of the song "Russians" by Sting. The music is taken from Sergei Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé suite. The lyrics, written by Sting, address the topic of mutual assured destruction. You don't need to receive a recruitment telegram to join a region. You can navigate to the region's homepage (Hive, in this case), scroll down, and click the button that says, "Move [nation] to [region]!"
