Hey everyone,

I hope you all are staying safe amidst the current crisis.
So, as many of you know, Earth Day is coming up soon in April and this got me thinking that we as humans are doing a fairly good job so far cleaning up our land we live on. However, quite often us humans forget about our wonderful oceans and other bodies of water. We forget that they exist even though 70% of our planet's land mass is water!

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/apr/01/oceans-can-be-restored-to-former-glory-within-30-years-say-scientists

Thank you to Lake of Fur for sending me the above article. It highlights that our oceans can actually be saved within the next 30 years, so by 2050. Scientists have predicted that if we change our way of thinking of actually take real action then it can truly be saved and turn into the magical place it once was. Governments must enact tougher laws such as no sewers should go into our bodies of water and no one can throw plastic in the waters.

Do the oceans need us? Yes the oceans do need us.
Do we need the oceans? YES we need the oceans more than the oceans need us. Our oceans provide us with 70% of the oxugen we breathe today. This means that if we want to live here on Earth, we have to make sure that our oceans live and are as healthy as they can be.

A great big shout out to "The Guardian" for being the first major global news organization on banning any fossil fuels extracting companies to donate to the organization. Such actions should be followed by all. By 2030, a team of scientists goal is to expand protection to at least 30% of our world's oceans to be marine protected areas where many nations are coming and signing upon this goal such as the UK for example.

Hats off to everyone that's contributing positively to make our world a better place by making it environmentally sustainable!! I salute you.

So... Saving the oceans are we? Right!

They also call me Nature Bean!
(No one calls him that.)
Look, I've got a florecent green recycle cape and everything! They don't issue you one of these unless you've got your sorted bins in a row. Ehem...

Water is awful wet stuff. Without it the world would be very dry and thirsty, and dull... no fish sandwiches, speed boats, or breathing. Can't make tea with acid rain, it's just not proper.

Think of all the sharks, whales, turtles, giant squids, lobsters, penguins, and mad scientists in underwater lairs forced to leave their home and live on the land or face extinction. Of course, if someone was filling my home with rubbish, sewage, and petrol I'd want to rise up and bite thier limbs off too.

There are rising efforts to clean up this mess, but they're barely skimming the surface of the symptoms. Some are trying to shave the whales or mass produce better fish. But simply, if we keep dumping waste and unfiltered runoff into the water, it's only going to get worse.

Now one solution is to summon a greater environmental super hero than I to fix the problem single handed, Captain Planet. Just find or form a large ring, combine earth, wind, fire, water, and heart. *Uses Teddy to mix these.* If you can't find heart, just use aggressive taxes and regulation. If you do this just right, and the force of nature is truly flowing through enough of us, Captain Planet will embody that power!... (and turn everyone into a tree.)... The ocean is saved!

Alternatively, instead of putting it off to eventually or leaving it up to mullet wearing demi-gods, we could remember what the Captain said before, "The power is yours." Meaning, as put by the Lorax, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not."

Now get out there and hug a sea creature... (or respect their space and find a way to make an equivalent gesture) to make the ocean that much nicer.

None sadly. I have been trying to reach out to their region for the past few days, at first I messaged them in their region and then I sent a direct telegram to the nations themselves. I am assuming that they may be held up by more pressing matters which makes sense in times like these. I fear that the longer they remain inactive the less likely this event will even take place. I recommend that if they do not respond in the next few days, we should continue the event anyways. Half a month is enough time to wait.

I think that they have had enough time to see my messages now. If you are ready we shall continue the event without them.

Theres a thunderous claps as the whole of the Raddsian fleet comes out of transit. The fleet consists of multiple fighting ships ranging from small fighter craft to the capitol ship of the fleet. Then you receive a message from General Radd.

Greetings Controller, my fleet has arrived for the event and we are ready to drop off your ambassadors as well. If you wish to come aboard why not start with a summary of my fleet and then yours? I think we could learn much about your forms of space travel, and you may be able to learn much about shielding and weapons systems from us.

Greetings esteemed leader. We welcome you with open arms. My top commanders, Boot heel and The Imitation Game are currently engaged in other business, though I expect their arrival in the near future.

Please, join me in the meantime in our subterranean headquarters to discuss pressing matters. You can indulge in the many delights of our planet in the meantime, including a lovely gift shop and juke box.

I hope you do not find my hospitable manner obsequious. It’s only that, we, the Xiliens our known for our inviting nature towards guests, and our relentless assault on enemies.

Your well armed fleet can dock high in our atmosphere, or lack there of... Either way, it should be perfectly safe.

Thank you for your hospitality Controller, I will be happy to come down to your planet for a while. I apologize for the presence of my fleet seeming to be more, military based. Sadly, we have little luxury craft to bring so I hope that perhaps we can find a good use of targeting for the fleet while we are here.

As a matter or fact, our planet’s surface is entirely uninhabited. Perhaps as a demonstration, your fleet can fire on some of our rocky slopes and endless mountain ranges.

I suppose we could, although I must warn you that the majority of are weapons are created for destruction on large scales. I would prefer a target that's not near civilians, perhaps a decommissioned ship of sorts?

Our ally, The co foundation communications, had access to decommissioned space cargo ships. Perhaps they can help us out.

The controller of planet x and The Imitation Game

Hello everyone! I'd like every one of our embassy regions to take part in our new map! All you need to do is submit what Nation in the world you would like and what color you would like!

P.S. Please remember that the flag contest is still going on, we've only received one submission so far, and we'd love to see more! I wish you all good luck, and again, stay safe! <3

That is an admirable goal and we now understand that we simply want to accomplish this goal differently. It is by our nature that we do not seek to prevent war in the same way that you do, which is by show of force. Thank you for explaining.

We apologize for our extended absence. We had to turn our attention inward for a while as the current health crisis of the humans is quite distressing to our programming. We are doing as much as we can to help them in this time and we predict that we may be able to properly divide our attention between them and our allies soon, if not at this time.
