a touch bit of an understatement

With slavery outlawed in Ferneus, the sense of racial superiority preached by ancient Fernusi faith crumbles. In the pro-slavery east, so called 'Blood Priests' take ancient Fernusi religion to new extremes. Low-class citizens, especially former slaves, are sacrificed in eastern temples, the priests hoping that the spilling of "unpure blood" will please the gods and bless them with the power to enslave all life. In the anti-slavery west, religion becomes practically non-existent. The Emperor is occasionally found in his room, wondering that if the gods exist, why do they allow such suffering? The Fernusi faith teeters between life-threatening extremes and nonexistence.

The Adduni Church sees this as an opportunity and begins sending in priests to convert some of the Fernusi. Remember, the religion doesn't encourage a sense of racial superiority for the Adduni, rather, all are seen as equal.

Anti-slavery Fernusi do convert to the Adduni faith to some extent. In the east, the priests are treated with scorn, with religious violence occuring at times.

An Adduni priest by the name of Tomas has begun preaching within the capital of Ferneus.

I'm redoing the (old-RP) toastian calendar which will be based on the time-indications in written toastian. I will post it later today.

Done

The Toastian Calendar was deeply connected with the Toastian Religion. Each God used to have its own month. Each month, sacrifices were given to the God the month is named after. Each month had a different length, depending on the power of each God. There are many theories on why the lezran year 30 AC is the toastian year 0. The most commonly accepted theory is that the Austrontan and Bohmenian shipwrecks abandoned their old calendar and created an early version of the toastian calendar. After a reform in 1976, the year 0 was changed to the year 0 of the lezran calendar to make cross-referencing between the two calendars easier, and the length of the months was slightly balanced.

Speaking and writing:

When in the UCSR, many foreigners struggle with understanding the calendar. Especially in relation to history.

Generally, the toastian calendar only features two numbers and a possibly infinite amount of time-indicators

For writing years, the ' that normally indicates past is replaced by a * due to possible confusion with the present-indicator.The year 1964 in the lezran calendar is the year *64 in the toastian, the year 1864 is **64, 1764 is ***'64 and so on the year 30 becomes ********************30 but would have been ********************0 before the reform.

The * indicates that the time is in the past and in the calendar. Time indicators always stand for 100 years in the past or future.

If the year is in the current century, either a ‘ is used or no indicator at all.

The future is indicated by " and the same rules as with past years apply. 2164 would be "64, 2264 would be ""64 and so on.

When speaking, the year 1864 is said as “Vegjegenert-Zwe jehr serjjen-fer”, “Past-2 year sixty-four”. 1764 is “Vegjegenert-Dre jehr serjjen-fer”, “Past-3 year sixty-four” and so on

Ivorica, Psunam, and The land of demonic samurai

Psunami officials end Marshall law and the country is reopened. The port of Manauq is almost completed it’s reconstruction, with most other ports finished. The Psunami navy expects to be back up and running in around a week, but it will take a while if ever to return to its former size.

In a speech about reopening the country Hideki is asked about the current situation in Fernues.

“Well I can’t commend anything about what’s happening in the East, but I can confidently say the west has progressed pretty far. In terms of religion, many of us here practice Baedism (A code of policies eg, never get fuffiled by greed, always help your fello human), and I don’t intend on attempting to spread that belief. If you would like to follow it, follow it. If you don’t want to, don’t. Next please.”

King Matthias has raised his levies for a campaign into Korintheya. He will be leading his troops personally.

The Blood Priests begin preaching the rise of a new nation of pro-slavery Fernusi, known as the Immortal Empire. Officially, the priests and their followers have not made a statement proclaiming the Empire a sovereign nation.

Interesting, will Mikel do anything about this?

Addunheim wrote:Interesting, will Mikel do anything about this?

Mikel doesn't do anything drastic for fear of starting another civil war, although radicals call for the forceful dissolution of the Blood Priests and their religious Empire.

Will Mikel contribute any men to Matthias' campaign against Korintheya?

Addunheim wrote:Will Mikel contribute any men to Matthias' campaign against Korintheya?

To be honest, i've been waiting for you guys to attack the raiders so i could do some Helms Deep Gandalf stuff, but its taking too dang long. 1,000 New Fernusi cavalry will join.

Addunheim wrote:Will Mikel contribute any men to Matthias' campaign against Korintheya?

Hideki will contribute 5000 infantry and 22 ships for a naval invasion

In preparation for their venture into Korintheyan lands, Captain Nevil Fornev, leader of the division of cavalry, meets with a Santec officer in order to train his men to fight on horseback.

I've been watching Warhammer 2 campaigns, and now i feel super compelled to make a Warhammer 2 region...
