This is the worst one yet. Worse than Eric Garner. It makes my stomach hurt to think about. To think that you could sit there and choke the life out of someone like that...

I feel for minneapolis. I heard the sirens coming in and out of the police station near my old apartment for 3 days after after the Freddie Gray murder in Baltimore. That city will be ripped apart if they arent careful

Yes, especially Game Play.

Just review the past couple of years, Lep. Nothing's changed.

The police think that they can do anything with impunity. Killing the unarmed and even people who called them to report a crime in progress. I'm not saying that there are no good, mindful, officers, but the culture of "shoot first and ask questions later" pervades most police forces.

My remark was sarcastic. I live in Baltimore where we had riots a few years ago over one of these. In the city, people still raise their hands over their heads when they see a police car roll by

Tried to watch that disgusting video. I hope the feds prosecute them all for murder.

Sorry Boris. Dominic has the right to a day off, I suppose. 😜

Indeed. That sweet, innocent city doesn't strike me as being prepared for such an event. I don't envy your experience in Baltimore, it looked nuts. Here in Philly, the worst "riot" we've had in recent memory was after winning the super bowl, and that was nothing. I seriously worry what will happen though if that cop gets off scott free...

Learnt my lesson. 🤕

Any large region is hell. My first few months in NS was in one of them. You’d log off for an hour or so and then 50 or 60 comments had been posted. The forums aren’t much better.

Aye, variety is the spice of life. Think I may do something new again as well.

Try teaching that to my folks, down here. 😐

This is bad. This is spreading. And the dumbest man alive just poured gasoline on dynamite. The precinct in Minneapolis where those cops were based was burned after the cops were forced to retreat. 7 wounded when police fired into a crowd in Louisville. Shots fired at the denver statehouse. Protesters breaking into the Ohio statehouse after police gassed a peaceful crowd. Shots fired at protests in phoenix. 70 arrested in NYC.

If the national guard actually opens fire, this could explode. This could explode all over the US.

Jesus. From the videos, it looks like Minneapolis simply surrendered.

Four years under Trump. Three months of pandemic and lockdown. Summer heat setting in real good. And one of the worst instances of police killing an unarmed black man happens...

Well, America was built on the back of five major wars, only one being in the 18th Century. America has some very heavy handed police and all this militarisation, cops dressing up like soldiers, I find it all rather disturbing. Then the racism. That woman in Central Park, the guy at the gym, the one that disgusted me more than any was that George Zimmerman fella, and then all the cop shootings. I dunno, America seems like a fractured society, politically, culturally, economically and socially.

Yeah. It seems more and more like that's simply how it was founded, and as time moves on and things progress, those fractures just get more and more amplified.

That song was brutal. Thanks for sharing, hadn't heard it before...looks like I'm a few years late on that one. A hard listen, but a good one.

It's 3am here and I can't stop watching feeds of Minneapolis burning...

Yeah, it sure is. Not really my kind of music. However I remember first seeing a while back after a previous “unfortunate event” in the US. It gives a good exposition of current problems.

IKR!

This could further erupt into the riots that ensued after Martin Luther King was assassinated and destroyed parts of cities across the US.

Now, now. Pig Latin is way too old. Nobody ever uses it, nowadays.
