I find a lot of issues on this game have a pretty strong under current of homophobia and there is a disproportionate amount of issues focused on gay people. Is that a Max Berry thing do you reckon or player submitted issues? It's enough to be noticeable and is turning me off the game

I dunno about there being an undercurrent of homophobia, maybe I just haven't encountered the same issues you have, but I have noticed a lack of issues regarding LGBTQ matters.

Interesting. I must be on a particularly awful algorithm. On a weekly basis I get issues that range from the very tired stereotypes "darling, how fabulouuusss" to offensive morality questions about children in danger. It's enough to notice a pattern, and I don't like it.

The game tends to play into stereotypes for various groups, presenting examples that can be extreme to the point of parody and not taking anything completely seriously. It's not just the LGBTQIA+ community, pretty much everyone falls under the satirical whip at some point, which is... Well, it's what it is, and I wouldn't read into it too much as indicative of homophobia, those issues are likely player-made and the playerbase and staff tend to be fairly leftist.

Reminds me of the distinction between intent and impact. But it’s a game and am not getting too bent out of shape. Just wanted to know if others had noticed it too.

Hmm I will pay closer attention, but haven’t seen problematic racial stereotypes. Not saying they aren’t there, I just haven’t noticed so far
