Suez isn’t ottoman, and the canal was built in 1869 dumdum

As the Spanish declaration of War reached the Foreign Office, the Minister for Munitions, a man known for his actions during the Boer Wars, came out with a bold idea; Stir up the Rifs of Northern Morocco, tell them that the Spaniards will not keep their promises, feed them false intelligence, and give them weapons. Churchill knew that the Spaniards have inferior ammunitions compared to the British. Their standard-issue rifle is the Mauser 1893, which was proven to be inferior to the British and American ones during the Philippine-American Wars and the Manila Campaign of the British. And as such, with proper training, the Rifs will be able to fight back ferociously.

Meanwhile, the African Fleet, stationed in Nigeria, reported that they have sunk the following Spanish dreadnoughts; the cruiser Carlos V, Prinsesa de Asturias, and most importantly, two of their best dreadnoughts; the Espana and the Alfonso XIII. The Governor General of Nigeria was ordered to authorize the use of the airships sent to Nigeria by the British Ministry of War against the Spanish, specifically targetting Madrid and Barcelona with bombs. There will be no orders to use the chemical weapons sent in along with the airships unless it is vital.

Hundreds of aeroplanes are now being refitted to drop bombs, as the threat of war in the Pacific looms. As there were already reserves of half a thousand aeroplanes used in reconnaissance missions, the Ministry of War and the Ministry of Munitions were given permission to expand the Royal Air Force to up to 5,000 aeroplanes.

Overall, the War with the Spanish can be seen as a blessing in disguise for the home front, hundreds of thousands of formerly-unemployed individuals are now given jobs in factories and farms, hundreds of thousands more are joining the British Armed Forces, particularly in the Navy. This war boosts the economy of Britain.

My fleet isn’t even out bruh and the whole British navy is in Asia no? And the Brit’s didn’t have near as many planes as your saying , they had 200 max

Which you are, and have stated

Oh yes, right, right, my bad, but still, Egypt is not British.

They do in Wikipedia, but productions in aviation increased. And while the RN is in Asia, there are British colonies in Africa.

yes but if youre going to say that colonial fleets in africa sunk battleships in the med which you would have no access to, thats just unrealistic. the Iberian fleet is roughly around 90 ships, so if youre gonna say that a colonial fleet managed to beat that fleet in an area in which they have no supply i think is a bit stupid

who owns it then? historically the ottomans didnt have it, the british did

yeah, I am not really gonna declare war because the people nor the army don't want the war.

Hearing the order

The Parliament erupts into a cacophony of jeers and debates as the parliament decides on a course of action that will guarantee it's neutrality, especially the order regarding the deployment of the airships. the Nigerian government submits a proposal to give the British commonwealth 10 million Lee Enfield rounds for there army.

as for the Spanish the Nigerian government imposes a additional 5% discount the agricultural goods that Nigeria exports to spain.

Scratch anything I posted after the Spanish declared war. There will be no military actions aside for Egypt. I am rewriting it all up.

The Prime Minister released a statement today stating that Britain did not attack Spanish soldiers, as Spain claims, ⁣ "Britain bombing its own territory would be very illogical. While it is true that there are no more British citizens nor officials on the Rock, it is still Britain until 12:00 midnight. If Spain wants war, Britain will not give them the satisfaction of one. As of this moment, any Spanish trades passing through the straights of Malacca, and the Suez, will be seized until Spain starves of their supplies. Britain shall not stoop low. We are not fighting them in this nonsense."

The House of Commons passed the Defence of the Realm Act, giving the government the power to institute censorship, seize any infrastructures that are deemed to be necessary for the effort of defending the Realm. While unpopular, the Coalition government explained that it is a necessary evil. The Commons also passed the creation of the Ministry of Munitions, appointing Winston Churchill, a former Lieutenant Colonel of the British Army.

Lord Kitchener urged Parliament that they pass conscription acts, but to no avail, they, however, gave permission to start building hundreds of aeroplanes fitted with machine guns and capable of dropping bombs, which would eventually replace airships. The Royal Navy in Africa was sent to respond in the situation of Egypt, where Spanish submarines torpedoed a command post at the end of Suez, it is now to be expected that the Royal Navy will have its presence back in the Mediterranean and the North Atlantic.

The Foreign Ministry are now given the task of mending British-Japanese Relations, as it is now expected that the Japanese will enter this war. Although the British have the technological edge against the Japanese, they are still a formidable power. The Foreign Minister knows that there will be no possible way to amend the tensions between the two powers, but he is willing to at least guarantee that Asia will and shall remain in peace.

Britain ordered to end of the blockades against Japan, inviting them for negotiations in Hong Kong, one of the most prosperous British colonies in Asia. Britain offers reparations for economic damages caused by Britain during the duration of the blockades, a demilitarization of the Siamese-Malayan and the Japanese-Burmese borders, and restrictions on trades being made between Britain and Chinese warlords and potential rebels.

The House of Commons and the House of Lords are on constant alert this week, passing everything on the docket that was supposed to be passed in the course of several months, however, there is but one that seems to be being postponed from being voted upon; The Conscription Acts of 1916, which calls for unlimited recruitment of men from the ages of 18-30, which would damage the industry, as women are still being limited in the workforce. An MP from Manila added one crucial legislation on the docket; The Women's Rights Acts, which covers the issue that is preventing the Conscription Acts from being passed.

The Women's Rights Acts was passed with 200-90-48 (Yeas, Nays, Abstainers). The Conscription Acts of 1916 was passed with 308-30-0.

The British Armed Forces now has access to at least 40% of 71, 386, 910 total population of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, the Philippines and the Malayan Peninsula.

The current Issue that Iberia is facing with this war is Manpower. The troops of Iberia are top of the line, and suited for all types of combat, but few. With this becoming more critical as the army and navy are expanding, and in response to the British introducing conscription, Iberia holds a census of her colonies and her mainland. The population of portugal- 6M, the population of Spain- 20.6M, Mozambique - 4.1M, South Angola - 3.2M, and Guinea. 452K, totaling a population of 34, 352, 000. The african colonies are not yet an integral part of spain, but around 10% of their population is avaliable to be recruited without stirring unrest, leaving around 750,000 african manpower avaliable for use, along with the portugeese and spanish manpower. With the census complete, Iberia announces 10 combat divisions, expected to be combat ready in 3 months.

The Final Act
With news of the Royal navy coming back into the medaterranian, the costal batteries on the south of Iberia can only hold them off for so long. While Entente prescense in the meddeteranian is still light, the final act of operation Stingray. On the night of [DATE], a little after midnight, The 2nd Armada is sent out of port in valencia, consisting of 10 heavy cruisers, 5 dreadnaughts, 10 subs, 10 destroyers, and 15 other light ships. It sets sail for the island of cyprus, and along the way, bombs the coast of northern africa, causing devestation among the region and rendering it usless. It continues along the coast until it reaches its destination, cyprus, at 2PM. The small island is surrounded by the armada, and there are 3 british destroyers and 1 cruiser stationed at the island. By the time the crews had prepped themselves, it was too late. The ships opened fire, bombarding the island with over 1000 rounds, turning whatever people may have been there into smoke. The ships return at the balearic islands for resupply at 7PM, and then enact the final action of the operation. At 2AM, the subs, similar to the suez operation, rise from underwater, and inside, were the Batallón de Halcones Silenciosos, This time, invading Corsica. The attack was swift. The ships were circling the island and bombarding any garrisons found. the island was taken by 2 PM, and with that, the operations in the medeterranian were done, for now. The Batallón de Halcones Silenciosos suffered around 100 losses, lost 1 destroyer from batteries at cyprus, and the british suffered around 2500.

The Suez, a vital part of the European trade route, was damaged by the Spanish, temporarily suspending trade between Asia and Europe. This, alone, besides the mutual defence agreement with Italy, could bring them to intervene, limiting the already limited, and inferior, Spanish naval operations. Italy is considered as one of the regional powers of the Mediterranean.

The two-Dreadnoughts, five destroyers and three submarine fleets of Egypt arrived at Port Said, prepared to protect trade from Spanish barbarism. After a setback in Cyprus, where Spanish propaganda supposedly said that Britain suffered a catastrophic defeat, where in reality, suffered no more than 200 deaths, The Royal Navy is now urging that Britain declares war on Spain, rather than to allow them to attack British trades in Europe.

It is to be expected that Britain will declare war on Spain next week. Diplomatic Channels within the empire had already forbid them from dealing with Spain, especially Nigeria, who is known for its unrelenting quest for neutrality at the cost of the empire's superior standing.

far away in the Hawaiian Islands. Many Chinese have begun to protest against Japanese aggression in the Sino-Japanese war. Many of them have begun to act aggressively on the day of the declaration of war against the British. This also worries the government about Chinese-Americans because of the agreement with Japan on the island hawaii. With that, America will be a peace broker in this regard.
