I'm glad to hear everything got sorted out before a hard brexit. I'm hopeful that brexit will allow for closer relations between the UK and the USA.

Yeah. They have pretty close relations now but no harm in making them closer. Oh, wait. That was the withdrawal deal. Future EU-UK relations still need to be worked out.

Cant have a black market if everything is legal!

Dernel wrote:Cant have a black market if everything is legal!

Can't have a black market if you deny its existence since nothing can happen without government supervision!

The UK being in the EU never prevented closer UK-US relations, but now Britain will need these more than ever. For the US, on the other hand, there is little incentive to give the UK preferential treatment, now that it no longer works as a middleman between them and the EU.

Nonsense! The UK is our former mother country. Sure we may have had a....disagreement way back when but that's all water under the bridge now. We have alot in common with the british and they've been a close ally of ours for decades. Theres no reason why we shouldn't seize this opportunity to strengthen those bonds. Plus a friendly UK will be a valuable asset to Uncle Sam should relations between America and the European Union ever sour.

Fool, I call many of my female concubines “sillichili” to establish my dominance o’er the peasantry.

More the meddleman than middleman. The EU core wanted for a long time a push towards a federation or confederation in the strong sense, specially the French since the times of De Gaulle and Germany both for pragmatic and historical reasons.

The same that pushed the UK in favor for an extended free-market area, as wide as possible to avoid going in-depth.

It was brilliantly made a satire nearly 40 years ago by the British themselves.

That's nice though. I've only got a couple pet rocks and one of them isn't speaking to me anymore.

They sense the jiggling of Tubbius as He settles into bed, perhaps.

I'm sorry for my recent behavior and anger. My mother has Alzheimer's, and is fading into the darkness so quickly. I was much closer to her than I was to my father, and she doesn't even remember who I am!

Weird selection of terms. I mostly use Schatz, which translates as "treasure" or "precious" (Gollum uses "mein Schatz" in the German dub of Lord of the Rings) and occasionally "Prinzessin" (princess) or simply "Liebes" (love).

Yes, all if them pretty bog standard terms, but easier on the tongue than any of those made up ones...

That is terrible. I feel very sorry for you. Dementia is worth than a sudden premature death in some ways, I think.
