Ruinenlust India embassy. The Thalassia embassy passed 16-1, for a total of 17 votes. That is such a low percentage of the total eligible voters, and there was hardly any discussion or public consideration of it. It seemed like we were at risk for just sort of sleepwalking into yet another embassy, and notwithstanding Octopus islands ' generous offer of being the ambassador, there didn't seem to be any compelling reason to do it aside from that. In my mind (which is just my own idea), a "yes" vote should be insofar as something is obviously the best course of action, but if the gut reaction is a half-hearted "yeah, sure, why not, idk?", then it's probably better to err on the side of caution. I'm not actually opposed to an embassy with India; I just haven't really seen any great reason to go for it, either. So for now, "eh, why not?" is best translated as "eh, probably not." I felt ambivalent about it and chose not to vote without more than the cursory look around that I had sufficient time for. But yes, I saw nothing that I found of particular interest at that time.
Middle Barael I love Indian cultures, and so forming an embassy with a region sharing and celebrating the many cultures of India I think is a good idea. India is one of the most important (and most diverse) countries, but unfortunately many do not understand India very much. I had the pleasure of going to India last December, and it was the trip of a lifetime. We went to Delhi (including New Delhi), Jaipur, Udaipur, and Agra, and we also visited the Sri Nathji Temple in Nathdwara and the Shree Eklinji Temples outside of Udaipur.
This is what attracted me in the first place. I've yet to visit India itself, but a Hindu acquaintance suggested that I go to Mumbai for a month. I plan on doing so in the next couple of years. There are a number of other places there that I'd like to visit there as well.
