Well if you're looking for Brethren, you've come to the right place; we're all around you. My name is Asp, I'm one of the Brethren and I can take you to a priest. She's not speaking the language of the steppes, or any language really, but it might seem that way as the telepathic messages are parsed in Martis' head.

Oh, thank Ademar, the first person he meets is part of the Brethren. He had been worried that it would take days of searching for remote monasteries, or worse, more sea travel. "Thank you, great spirit. If you could lead me to a priest of the Brethren, I would be much in your debt; and if we might go with speed, I would be even more indebted. I am no traveler, and I yearn greatly for my homeland. Let us go!" When he finishes speaking, Martis starts jotting notes in the notebook before looking up suddenly.

"You would not happen to recognize the name Galus Wind-Rider, would you, wind-spirit?" It was a long shot, but if this spirit was the same that had aided that hero of legend, it would perhaps be easier to explain Ademar's message.
