      OPERATION GLAO EIGYR
      SROICHEADH AN TUAISCIRT FACILITY,
      78 KILOMETERS FROM CORCAIGH

      OPERATION "EIGYR'S CALL" | 21 MARCH, 2255 A.D.

PROJECT DREIMIRE NEAMH — In the remoteness of the "Northern Reach" region of Tus, a vast icy plateau that borders the Northern Woodlands, lied the Sroicheadh an Tuaiscirt facility. While a majority of the facility was hidden within the ice of the plateau, a massive 760 meter diameter hole lead to the largest and most powerful transmitter ever built in Eanic history. It was built years in advance for this singular moment, in which the facility would have a direct line of sight for a system that has been identified as the origin of several radio call outs picked up by the Clans of Tus.

Master Mórríghan Étaín-Fearghail stood along with a few other scientists in a semi-dark room, only lit by the computer screens of the workers' stations. Behind them, on an elevated part of the room, stood two of the highest military officials of Clan Sadhbh. One of the Generals spoke down to the scientists, "You have the green light." Mórríghan looked to the senior scientist on the project, who simply nodded in agreement and began issuing orders.

"Begin the start up. We need to get this communication fired off on time." Everyone began getting to work quickly. As the massive transmitter was started up, a loud hum began reverberating throughout the entire facility.

"Capacitors are charging, transmitter is aligned," stated one of the workers, "We'll be go to start in 5 minutes."

Mórríghan brought her right hand up to her snout, pacing a bit out of nervousness and worry. The main screen lit up, showing a birds-eye diagram of the transmitter in the center, surrounded by the transmission stations, which each began lighting up green.

"Station 1, online. Station 2, online..." The workers began counting the stations as they went online, in no particular order. The other screen, to the right of the main one, showed a radar read out, which was completely clear with no signs of trouble. As the transmitter began powering up, Mórríghan whispered a prayer to herself.

"Station 88, online. Station 91, online. Station 89 and 90, online..." The hum had become much louder, overbearing even as the last stations came online. "All stations are online, ready for transmission."

Mórríghan and another scientist walked forward to the central console, where two key holes were waiting for them. Mórríghan took off a necklace with the key and her lanyard on it, and put the key into the hole, as did the other scientist. They then turned the keys in sync and a 20 second timer started.

As the time counted down to where the station would be at it's most optimal to fire, the transmitter began to let out a whine that increased in pitch. The moment the timer hit 0, the transmitter fired off, sending a bright blue-white beam out into the sky and straight for Sol.

A worker relayed the progress, "It's transmitting. 56%...78%......89%......98%.....100%! Transmission ending!" A loud thud was created by the transmitter, which abruptly stopped transmitting the message once it was complete. The workers and some of the scientists did a little bit of a celebration at was years of hard work.

"What's the result?" One of the Generals looked down at the scientist. "Did they receive it?"

Mórríghan turned, "We...We won't know until some months from now."

The General, who seemed rather dissatisfied, turned and walked out with her colleague. Mórríghan let out a sigh as her colleague came over. "Mórríghan. Don't worry about it. That's just how those military types are."

Mórríghan looked over, "I wish they'd understand. It's not easy to deal with them."

"Well, maybe we can go get a drink when we wrap up here."

Mórríghan shook her head, "I have things I need to do here, it'll be too late when I'm done."

The other scientist just nodded and walked to the door as Mórríghan sat down at one of the computer stations. She began running her diagnostics on the transmitter, not knowing for sure if the transmission will reach Sol or if it'll completely miss...

      4 MONTHS LATER...
SOL, 13 LIGHT YEARS FROM TUS

      OPERATION "EIGYR'S CALL" | 6 JULY, 2255 A.D.

THE TRANSMISSION — It was early in July when the blast of signals hit Sol. Despite the distance, the radio message was clear as day and rather over powering. Unfortunately, due to the angle that the signal came in as well as the position the planets were in, not every planet in Sol got the message. Of the planets in Sol, only 4 received the transmission, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune.

    The transmission was in two distinct parts;

The first part seemed to be an introduction to the Eans, complete with DNA sequences, anatomical sketches and autopsies, different pictures, drawings, videos of various points in Eanic history, a massive sampling of Eanic Gael, a layout of the Eanic home system of Eigyr with both a labeled and unlabeled variant, and what looked to be a diagram of various objects in orbit of the second planet in the system which were all labeled.

The second part was a lot more worrying. It was a simple message with attached imagery of the Sajjuk invasion of the Eigyr system.

Regardless of any translation work that would be needed, it was quite obvious that the Eans were fighting the same enemy as Humanity, and likely needed help.
