Some imagined a free, democratic state, bordering a nation that many wanted closer ties to, especially with the mass xeno population of Weivaren. On the eve of summer, an address would be broadcast within the territory, and into the Ebbotian Empire. The speaker would be unknown.

"Friends, it is on this eve that we, a collective of citizens and the constructors of liberation, announce the formal secession of the territory of Weivaren from the Untecnan state, and declare that Weivaren be a free republic. Our struggles with recognition and attention have been long; no more, for we will have our own state and ample allies away from Untecnan interests. We know the Monster Empire is listening now; protect us as we construct ourselves, and we will prove good allies to have. We stand as a third republic; the first was under Condea, the second under his daughter, and now the third in a fully independent image. Monsters, please tell our address to the world; they must hear.
