Good morning Balder!

Who all is in the world assembly?

Nothing of lasting consequence. It's been a long time since I've gotten to play, but I figure we might see another zombie apocalypse.

ooh sounds fun

Aren't issue results fun?

I decided to subsidize cave explorers and, in particular, their associated TV shows. Apparently doing that increases the environment a decent amount and cuts my eco-friendliness in half.
This is especially ironic when you consider the tagline, which implies a tiny decrease in environment and a decent increase in eco-friendliness.

Ok I guess.

The real takeaway is that the WA census thing wasn't lying when it said that your focus on preserving the environment wasn't always linked to its actual quality.

Greetings everyone!

There is a new vote in the Security Council:

Resolution at Vote: Commend Severisen
Vote Recommendation: No Recommendation

If you are a WA member, make sure to vote so that you have your voice heard!

Additionally, please consider endorsing Delegate North East Somerset, if you have not already done so. The more endorsements, the more votes Balder has, and the stronger our voice in the World Assembly is!

Hello Fellow Balders!

Wizaria

I never understood why "anti-fascism" is seen as a good thing. Anti-fascists are typically just terrorists under an equally oppressive banner: that of communism. Sure it's good to be against something that's bad...but you're only officially an antifascist when you yourself are bad.

hi i saw a bunch of nations just came here so i thought id come too to get away from the meaniebutt palm people over in the South Pacific

Dislike
Also, who the hell makes a NationStates account for wolf roleplaying? Kind of a weird juxtaposition to me.

Dislike.

Why must we be subjected to our realm's "recommendations". Allow our voters to make decisions without the influence of Big Brother Balder. Recommendation it may be, however, the mere suggestion of what to vote for is an infringement of our rights as sovereign states and voters of the WA.

I would agree, but there was no official recommendation.

Yes, however, in the telegrams Balder's WA members received, the telegram stated that further messages will have official recommendations for "For" and "Against"

Long story short: unfortunately, it's not that simple.
Slightly less short: some "Antifa" people are 100% okay with using violence to oppose fascism in any context and that is, of course, not okay. But not all "Antifa" people think that, and not all people who are anti-fascist are "Antifa." Even though the name "Antifa" came from abbreviating "anti-fa(scist)."

It's a bit like thinking that all evangelizing Christians are necessarily the worst, most rabid "Evangelical" Christians. They aren't. I technically belong to an "evangelical" denomination, but I accept the theory of evolution and think we should just leave gay people alone etc. Further, "to evangelize" just means to persuade other people to convert to your religion, which is something pretty much all religions do at least some of the time. (Consider Buddhism; Buddhist evangelism was a huge deal in China and Japan several centuries ago.)

Apparently fruit and veg are good for you.

Don't sound surprised.

My personal philosophy on these things is, "there's always one."

If you can think of a type of person, no matter how ridiculous, chances are God's already made 5 of those and 2 of them are 30. You can't go around not expecting these things. That's not to say I like this kind of thing, it's not what the site was made for, but honestly I was surprised I had just seen one now.

Also, don't be mean.

Also, remember when I cut my eco-friendliness in half? Well, I got it back by sponsoring furniture restoration classes.
