The Commonwealth of Alcrosnia, commonly called Alcrosnia, is a democratic federal republic located in the Greek archipelago. It is bordered on the north by Slavatania, and by the east by Thracia and Crimea. Alcrosnia covers 131,957 square kilometers and has an estimated population of 453,000,000 (453 million). Alcrosnia comprises of three states, Greece, Turkish Territory, and The Hellenic Islands.

Alcrosnia plays a major role in world trade, as it is near two most-used canals, the Suez Canal, and the Bosphorus Strait. Alcrosnia is diplomatically very friendly with other nations, especially the members of The European Economic Alliance.

Etymology

Alcrosnia was derived from the affix Alk-, meaning strong or powerful, and -rosnia was derived from the root -rhon, meaning flowing water. Put together, it means a strong stream of flowing water, which matches the agricultural spirit and love of nature of Alcrosni people.

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Alcrosnia is as an Alcrosni.

History

Alcrosnia, because of the Greek Economic Crisis, declared complete independence from the Hellenic Republic on the date 25th January 2013. Alcrosnia then had talks with former prime minister of Greece, George Papandreou, about recognizing the nation as independent. George, very unsatisfied, declared Greece to be in an emergency and declared an all-out war on Alcrosnia. Alcrosnia retaliated by sending troops towards Athens, finally capturing the capital, and now Greece was in militia groups only. These militias, too, were wiped out by The Royal Alcrosni Air-Force, sending just 9 bombers to wipe out the last of Anti-nationalist Greece. In 2014, however, there was a law passed by the former prime minister to change the government altogether, shifting to an Empire.

At first, the people were very angry of this, and there were riots and protests all round the country in 2015, but these were quickly suppressed. The Alcrosnis were brainwashed by the propaganda spread by The Empire. It was just like the situation in 1984, where only some people thought of the truth, not the faked records.

Finally in 2017 the glorious intelligent few-left Alcrosnis spread the truth around Alcrosnia, turning the population towards the truth, not the fake, and the government was overthrown by the people. A Constitution was adapted, which can be found here.

Full scale elections were held in 2018, and a fixed term was appointed by the Alcrosnis, of two years. Now, the only problem left in the country was to solve the economic crisis and political corruption.

In 2020, a huge shock hit Alcrosnia as Coronavirus spread around the world, and the former Alcrosni government imposed a lockdown of two years, that destroyed the Alcrosni economy. In the last few years, the GDP of Alcrosnia had been about 450 billion Euros, but in 2020 it had fallen to 270 billion Euros, almost cut-off by half. But Alcrosnia dealed with this, increasing the price to pass Bosphorus strait from 0.11 Euros to 1.80 Euros, which helped a lot to Alcrosnia.

In the 2021-23 period, it was marked the Dark Age of Alcrosnia, because of the still-reviving economy. In 2024, two other big shocks hit Alcrosnia, starting two wars...

Francoguese and Kami0 had gone to war for sometime, and Alcrosnia had joined in just for some profit if they won, but they lost. Francoguese had became a puppet of Kami0, but just 2-3 days later it had gained independence. Alcrosnia didn't get much of a loss, but had to pay off many brave martyrs.

North Korea is best had been at hostile relations with Alcrosnia, starting a war with it, with the help of Kami0. Kami0iane soldiers were surprised to see the bravery of Alcrosni soldiers, and it took a long time to puppet out Alcrosnia. Alcrosni government, like cowards, had puppeted out Alcrosnia to Kami0, remaining a puppet till the entry of EEA.

Alcrosnia becoming a puppet of Kami0 had spread across the whole of Europe, especially the EEA. Foudina took a step forward to liberate Alcrosnia out of Kami0iane imperialism, and Alcrosnia had declared independence(not fully) from Kami0. It was a kind of victory and loss both for Alcrosnia, as it had gained independence fully in a few hours, but had to give Kami0 Konstantinopolis, a very important city of Alcrosni trade. Elections were cancelled for this year, that downgraded reputation of democracy in Alcrosnia.

Alcrosnia has a decent climate, with the warm and cool breeze always coming from the Medi coast. Average temperature in Alcrosnia is about 26 degrees Celsius, that is very nice for a coastal nation.

Because of the recent Government reforms, on basis of environment, Alcrosnia has improved a lot by environmental beauty, topmost scoring in Europe.

Demographics

Population
Alcrosnia has a population of 37,000,000, as of Population Board Index, 2024. The nation had revived from the Greek aging crisis, but is facing its own, as of a legislation passed that women can decide to 'increase or decrease' the fertility rate. Last year's census told that the Alcrosni population was about 37,200,000, that is 200,000 more than this year's.

The male to female balance, according to Demographics Census, is 53.6% to 41.4%, respectively, that is 19,832,000 to 15,318,000. This is due to the reasons of the probability of birth as a male or female. The rest 6% of the population is of the LGBTQIA+ community, that is exactly 2,220,000. Same gender marriages are allowed, and there is a third gender reserved on every form, if one is not described as either male or female.

Religious people in Alcrosnia are very less left. Alcrosnia has over 78% of its population as secular/atheist, and the religious groups are as follows-Orthodoxy 11%, Catholicism 3%, Islam 1%, Hinduism 4%, Baptism 1%, and Taoism at 2%.

According to race, Alcrosnia is racially unpure, with Humans being about 43%, elves about 49%, and other races at 8%.
Language
Alcrosnia follows three main languages, namely-English, Greek, and Turkish. English is the official language of the country, as passed in the founding days of the nation. Greek is a major language, being the native and official language of Mainland Greece, a state in Alcrosnia. Turkish is a third language, a lingua franca, spoken around Orthodox Constantinople, as even though it(Konstantinopolis) has now converted to Orthodoxy, Muslims still live there peacefully.

Religion

Alcrosnia is majorly secular, but the most followed religion in the nation is Orthodox Christianity, with almost 11% of the population following it.
Race
Alcrosnia has a very unique type of race, that is a mix of Elves and normal Humans. This is very fictional, and many people come to Alcrosnia because of this unique type of people.

Government

Alcrosnia is a federal democratic parliamentary republic, where the Prime Minister is the head of state. The government is divided into three branches, the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary.

Alcrosnia's national legislature is the Hellenic Parliament, that has a bicameral structure, with the Upper and Lower house. The Lower House has 300 seats, each reserved for a representative of a constituency. The Upper House is the structure that discusses with The Lower House about legislations, and has 110 seats. Total seats in the legislature is 410.

In the executive authority, Alcrosnia has the president as ceremonial head, while the Prime Minister decides all matters. He/she has a Council of Ministers, that advise the Prime.

The Judiciary has a three level court system, with The Supreme, State, and Local court. The level goes higher if the case is not solved at the current level of the courts. The Judges are selected by the non-biased president, to ensure no bias in the judiciary. Lawyers can be selected by a simple process of three back to back interviews.

Foreign Relations and Military

Alcrosnia has been friendly with almost every nation it has negotiations with, for example, most of the EEA. Alcrosnia has pretty bad relations with Kami0, as they puppeted Alcrosnia once and are controlling Constantinople today.

Alcrosnia today has the top 23% military in the world, having a great Royal Navy and Air Force. Ground forces had always been a problem for Alcrosnia, that is why it isn't in top 10%. Ground forces aren't trained enough, but they live in absolute luxury, that NS compares to five-star hotels.

Economy

Alcrosni economy is majorly decentralized, making it lean towards right on the economic scale. Alcrosnia has a GDP of 5 trillion Euros, with a per capita of 158,108 Euros, taking the 37,000,000 citizens in account.
