??? The American Consitution DIRECTLY impacted most if not all of the democracies that came after that for at least the next 150 years.

AND if I remember correctly, the U.S Bill of Rights also was influential to the Declaration of Man in France during their Revolution.

Dehumanised, institutional disadvantaged, increased racism and islamophobia etc are all things I face on a personal level that is a direct effect of our illegal wars and in worst case scenario it leads to religious radicalisation and then to terror attacks which only fuel the divide
And then it radicalises the majority of a country into right-wing beliefs often borderline neo-nazism

Any good intention in those wars are overshadowed by the negative effects and there's no justification to continue

Yeah, and it never developed further from this point... So you are practically electing a king in comparison to most European countries.

If a presidential candidate can get more votes than their opposition and still lose, your democracy is trash

You have to fight for the good! Sometimes with bombs. It is better to stop an army than to look at a genocide by that army.

All of that is bad. - America could be good again!

It absolutely has evolved. The American Constitution can and has been ammended. It has helped kept us around for the last 250 odd years, so it must be doing something right.

Yahlia wrote:If a presidential candidate can get more votes than their opposition and still lose, your democracy is trash

I never said it was perfect. I personally would like to see the abolishment of it. To be fair, the popular vote has matched the popular vote all but five times.

What genocide?

The only genocide that happened was a NATO member going into Syria to kill the Kurds who helped fight off the western funded terrorists are we to bomb them????

The Arab Spring was bringing democracy to the nations, people were living normal lives

The current borders were drawn by western powers after the colonial period in the Middle East was ending and kings like the Saudis who benefitted the western powers were kept on the throne

If anything we're to blame for the autocracies, backwards politics and any conflicts in the Middle East post Ottoman Empire

And since that wasn't enough we've decided to bomb them into glass, displace them, kill them, ruin any attempt of democracy to rise up

If you're gonna sit here and justify the suffering those wronged by us have to live through by "preventing genocide" you're hoplessesly misinformed and failed when you let the Turks into Syria

Five times too many

Yeah, the world would be a better place without weapons. But who will start the disarming of the armies of the world?

We're not talking about the Yugoslav wars and the religious genocides in the Balkans

Address my points or I will call you out for steering the convo away to make your imperial war machine look good

I originally talked about the Jugoslavian war in the '90s. The second sentence I don't understand. What do you mean by convo? Which empire? Which war machine? You could explain in German, too, if you like! ;D

Believe me, the U.S is not a perfect nation. I live here. There are awful things it does and I will call it out when I see it.
But, when it does stuff right in its history and the rare times in the present (minus this awful administration), I will support and defend it when it I believe it is unrightfully accused of wrongdoing.

Die NATO ist eine imperialistische Kriegsmaschine, die Millionen verdrängt und tötet. Was in den 90er Jahren passiert ist, kann das, was jetzt passiert, in keiner Weise legitimieren
