Socialist Prime Minister Arisha Vinogradova announced her resignation today following weeks of intense protests and civil unrest sparked by sharp increases in utility prices.
The announcement comes after the government’s decision earlier this year to implement substantial hikes in electricity and heating costs, which were met with widespread public outrage. The price of electricity doubled, and heating costs tripled, placing immense financial pressure on households across Subulev Permia.
The Socialists' coalition partners allegedly pushed her to resign. The Socialist Party has almost complete power in this cabinet and almost made the decision to increase prices itself. The coalition partners Green and Progreziv would probably have left the coalition if Vinogradova did not reverse the decision. She was too stubborn and resigned leaving and the Greens and Liberals with their answer. The fall of the government will call for new elections. Until then, the Green-secterary of Education will become interim-Prime Minister.
The current polls for this election are as follows;
(the first number was the score of the Union-elections a year ago)
Communists: 10,1% ⇒ 7,4%
Socialists: 28,2% ⇒ 20,9%
Green Party: 11% ⇒ 13,7%
Liberals: 20,9% ⇒ 27,1%
Utega: 14,7% ⇒ 17,1%
Russian National Movement: 15,1% ⇒ 14,8%

Political Situation of Uusi-Sjevre explained:
The political situation in Uusi-Sjevre is extremely complicated. We are the only country (besides Subulev Hamburgas) in the union where Emperor Josev Aszrymop III, not even through a representative Duke, is not the head of state. Of course, the emperor remains the symbolic and unifying head of the Union itself, but not of Uusi-Sjevre itself. This is the President. That president's actual position is called the Lord of the Revolution and President of the Council of United Cities of Uusi-Sjevre; or LotR/PCUCUS for short. That Lotr is currently Aari L. Järvinen and has been since 2023. Yes, before the country was independent. He was then the leading figure in the struggle for independence; which we got in 2032. The PCUCUS is directly elected by the population and Aari L. Järvinen is currently on his fourth term (of 4 years), as there are no term limits.
And what does the PCUCUS do?
Thanks for asking. The President is ultimately responsible for domestic and economic affairs. Because the country is so small and has to ask a lot from its neighbours, these tasks mainly belong to the management of the Port, Culture, Education, road management, waterway management... and some other minor tasks.
Because Sjevre's liberating army never actually left the country, the Savranakas Suurvaltas is directly responsible for the army, in contrary to other member states (only other exception is Subulev Hamburgas). Because the country is so small, it must rely entirely on Subulev Puola, Subulev Berlynas and Sjevre in terms of energy, security (despite a limited police force) and social security.
And what about Foreign Relations?
This depends on what kind of foreign interests; but the Secretary General of the Savranakas Suurvaltas is mainly responsible for foreign representation of the country and the head of the Economic Committee is ultimately responsible for defending Uusi-Sjevre's economic interests at foreign level. As compensation, the country can enjoy lower taxes, lower import taxes, and higher profits on exports.
Note: In the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Union Uusi-Sjevre also needs to send a representative. Because they do not have the position of Foreign Secretary, they are sending a relative of the von Nesä family for the time being. This is a wealthy Uusi-Savraan family that has almost single-handedly sponsored the revolution all these years (sinde the 19th century). This is the compensation they receive from the state. The current figure is Gustav von Nesä, the second son of Olav Septimus von Nesä (1914-2022), the, as mentioned, great sponsor of the revolution. Gustav was chosen in favour of his brother Ernst von Nesä, as he got a job as CEO in a cookie-factory.
And yes; I am improvising. But its Canon now.

Foreign Secretary Valtteris Zigmunds von Vitums reacts:
[...]
I can now confirm with absolute certainty that we have neutralized the target and stand-ready to extradite him, should that be the decision. However, before proceeding, I will need more information about the individual, in any case my team, the justice department and I find additional information. [...] In return we have wish to receive someone of criminal and unhumane tendencies. There is a we have on our mind, it is a man residing in your country whom we insist on having in our custody. His name is Vladimir Putler. I'm sure you understand precisely who I mean. In order not to put a stop to negotiations if you do not want to extradite him, it is not our last proposal. The choice is yours.
[...]
A later answer... but heyy I was out of inspiration.

Foreign Secretary Valtteris Zigmunds von Vitums, cuts an already deep cut deeper, throws salt on it and puts it on fire.
"We find ourselves once again at the mercy of the farcical debacle that is the Potenzian Royal Family. The sheer incompetence and scandalous behavior exhibited by Emperor Alán, Queen Erl'u, and their entourage are nothing short of a tragicomedy. It is a disgrace that such a family is entrusted with the governance of a nation, let alone engaging in international diplomacy.
First, let us address Emperor Alán’s pitiful attempt to shift blame onto Queen Erl'u. This is the same emperor who has repeatedly gone AWOL on his so-called “exploratory journeys,” abandoning his nation and its people. Now he stands before us, attempting to convince the world that his estranged wife is a traitor. Yet, the irony is thick—this is coming from a man who has shown more dedication to his personal escapades than to his imperial duties. His rampant indulgence in extramarital affairs, rumored to include even some of his own ministers, has turned the imperial court into a sordid soap opera rather than a seat of governance. His credibility is in shreds, and his words are nothing more than a desperate attempt to divert attention from his own failures.
Queen Erl'u’s theatrical display of innocence and loyalty is equally laughable. She implores us to overlook the damning evidence of her treasonous activities, appealing to our emotions with the presence of her son, Alessandro. This is nothing more than a manipulative ploy to gain sympathy. The accusations against her are serious, involving treason and the kidnapping of her own husband. Her hollow proclamations of devotion cannot erase the gravity of these charges. She feigns devotion while her actions speak volumes about her true character—self-serving, manipulative, and utterly devoid of integrity.
And then we have Emperor Alán’s grand announcement of Potenzia’s withdrawal from South America. While it is about time that Potenzia acknowledges the atrocities of its colonial past, let’s not be fooled by this sudden display of moral awakening. This is a transparent attempt to distract from the domestic chaos and the crumbling authority of the Potenzian throne. At a time when Almitruz is expanding its colonial reach, this decision reeks of desperation rather than genuine reform.
The stark reality is that this royal family is a burden. Their constant scandals and lack of integrity make them utterly unfit for any form of leadership. The international community cannot afford to be dragged down by their incompetence and moral bankruptcy. How can we trust a family that can’t even manage its internal affairs, let alone uphold the responsibilities of global diplomacy? But let us not forget that the rot runs deeper than just the royal family. The entire political system of Potenzia reeks of corruption and nepotism. Elections look nothing more than a facade, with the same party winning time and time again, conveniently maintaining the status quo. A small note for in the future, I don't claim, nor have I suggested that the elections in Potenzia are a facade or not, I said that it looks like it. And as for the prime minister, it seems that having an affair with the emperor is practically a rite of passage. It's hardly surprising anymore, given the track record of debauchery and scandal that plagues the highest echelons of power in Potenzia.
In conclusion, while we may grudgingly accept the positive step of decolonization, we must remain acutely aware of the dysfunctional circus that is the Potenzian Royal Family. Their antics are not just a domestic issue but a matter of international concern. It is imperative that we approach any dealings with Potenzia with extreme caution, lest we too become entangled in their web of incompetence, deceit, and scandal."
