Aroltia wrote:Maybe we could do a colonization like thing where people kinda stake out their own land and have it grow naturally from there?

Yeah, we could say that the new state sent off administrators to survey the land and whatever they come up with will be the new provinces

yep,,,, montealbabros,,,, we’re winning,,,,, uraniumchads hoardmogg kittencels,,,,

Stop making fun of me

We could also shift the dynamic by letting anyone claim land in Montealba (or fight for it if it's full), but moving the old voivode oligarchy to the New State government

This is true, don’t even need to be land-owning to interact in the larp — though I suspect most people will want to have land for the sake of it.
Regardless the entrenched clique of government will remain as it always has — stagnant but open to the especially capable

There will definitely be people who just want to be a roaming group or a division of another persons land

Could even make it part of the dynamic for us the entrenched oligarchy to fight over trying to get the the newcomers to join under / work for us

Like I’d get a kick out of, for example, handing people titles to mayors of siesty dom towns, just useless prestige tokens

Hmmmmm yessss, the lordship of Cunningham-On-Southwest-Mount-Silver shall be yours, for your loyalty of course

There must be national front for pomp and pageantry,,,, the ministry for ministerial affairs will be looking into this…,,,

Ok, so we will use the last pre-Monbalaur map, more or less clean slate - the lands in the unused provinces will be up for grabs, but whoever was a voivode before will be sent to their old province to try and restate order. From that point on, it's excrement post RP

Now, about the government of the new state. It is paramount hooliganism will be erased, but other than that, we should discuss its organisation. I think we should go Montealba style on the consensus/decision-making again, as that is a working time-honored tradition. But other than that, I'd suggest dividing up jobs for stuff that people would like to do.

Here are some suggestions on things we could use people for (not all need to be filled and you can add your own - but I'd prefer people who are interested and will actually do something in the first place):
1. Caning hooligans
2. Pomp and Pageantry
3. Newcomer welcoming and integration
4. Foreign relations
5. Aesthetics upkeep
6. Media production

Of course I, the benevolent prince, will remain prince and stick my fingers into whatever I feel like :))) (Also keep the map)

I - on behalf of the transitional administrative zone of Spezia - would like to apply for the position of Hooligan caner, as I am not qualified for the other positions AND have previous experience in the field of caning hooligans/keeping the peace of a HONESTLY and TRULY free and INDEPENDENT Montealban State.

Yes, I think you would make for an excellent Hooligan Caner. I will confirm your position after this round if everyone agrees

Impressive

With this most recent achievement, fate has in a single stroke, marked the decline of the greater NS community and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful global dominance for the New State, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of feeders and the cruel subjugation it brought to the humbler nations of the world. With the blessings of Montealban nuclear direct-current electricity, nuclear aircraft carriers and a uranium enriched currency will be the instruments with which the New State affirms its noble stewardship of 21st century world politics and offers the non-feeder world a different option; an corporatist alternative to the depredations of communist leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateralism.

I can start frankensteining something out of the old maps. Big question is should there be a set national border on the mainland? Obviously there should be greater possible lands to settle than the ancestral Montealba but how far should that go, and should a definite boundry even be set yet.

Regardless I wouldn't be filling in provinces except maybe a Princely Capital Zone around Stuyevka, people are going to have to roleplay their way into tangible possessions.

I'd just go with the last international borders pre-Monbalaur, I don't want us to be too big as that's not very Montenegro turtle mode
Yeah, I'll just send people from Stuyevka to try to establish order

I know I’m new but I have experience in aesthetics upkeep so think I could be useful in that way also think I could lend a hand with foreign relations if needed

I'm loading up another train.
