Fair enough.

Some of us don't have a computer we can reliably use long enough to figure out how to navigate the forums, which when I tried using them my first month in NS, we're incredibly horrible to navigate on my laptop.

Bruh, why would anyone do that? Just ask your parents to download it for you. lol.

He's talking about discord not the forums. Lerasi/Aivintis said discord doesn't work for him because he uses discord on mobile through the web version and refuses to download the app or use it on a computer.

On a side note, the forum admins have been working very hard to make the user experience on the forums easier to navigate. It's a work in progress. Note that the admins are not doing this as a job and are only able to do it on their free time.

I can understand that, and I do commend them for it. However, I rarely have time and resources to learn those forums, and I would rather spend them doing other things.

Download the app

It's better.

OOC: It doesn’t make much of a difference, but imagine that I’d said there were 2 dozen Belskans & 2 dozen dancers. It’s not much of a difference, but for the size of the venue, it makes more sense.

The first group to come out are the Belskans who pair off and spread to cover the stage equally. Behind them, the Air Corps band marches out onto the back of the stage, turning as one to face the crowd. As they do so, they give a quick bow to the crowd, which is then mirrored as each Belskan gives their partner a bow. With that, a single member of the Air Corps band steps forward as his comrades remain still and silent. Moving to a stool at the front edge of the stage, he gives the crowd another deep bow before taking a seat. With that, he pulls out his balalaika and begins strumming, the microphone broadcasting the music out over the crowd. The song starts out slow, and as he begins playing the Belskans begin moving, just as slowly as the music.

As the music slowly begins, the pairs give each other a final bow, and begin to circle around each other, pounding the bottoms of the spears upon the stage every third step. Then suddenly, the Belskans thrust their spears out towards their partners, missing the sides of their faces by barely an inch. Immediately thereafter, they slam their spears down again and kick their feet to the side, all the while continuing to strafe around a common center, directly opposite from their partners. As they finish their spin, they immediately thrust their spears out towards their partners again, once again barely avoiding impaling them. Spinning around in a circle again, albeit without the kicks this time, the member on the right side of each pair uses their momentum to swing the bladed end of the spear at their comrade, leaving it to rest on their shoulder, right next to the exposed throat.

Strafing in a complete circle, the right members remove their spear from their partners’ throats, and barely a second later the left members spin in their own circle, swinging the blade of the spear directly at the legs of the other member, which is deftly avoided as the right members leap back, all the while continuing to strafe and kick out their legs in the dance.

As this continues, the music slowly begins to pick up in speed, growing ever faster. As the music picks up, so to do the Belskans, their spears flying through the air ever faster. Continuing their dance, occasionally tossing their spears through the air to exchange with their partners, they continue to dance. As the music reaches a crescendo, the rest of the Air Corps Band joins in, their brass and percussion drowning out the lonely balalaika. By now, the Belskans are near constantly spinning, narrowly missing each other with their blades as their dance continues. Kicking out their legs and slamming their spears to the ground, they have established a mesmerizing rhythm. Finally, as the music reaches its fastest point, the Belskans Take a step back from each other, spinning their spears around as if they were mere batons in the hands of a marching band. Then, just as the music seems to reach a peak, the band slowly fades out, leaving just the balalaika strumming a constantly building string, until that too cuts out. As soon as it does, the Belskans toss their spears towards their partners, before catching them, thrusting them out one last time, and turning to face the audience, bowing for the final time.

This isn’t the dance, but it kinda shows what I meant by the foot movements just imagine this, but the two women are in armor, stabbing at each other with spears, and constantly strafing around a common center: https://youtu.be/PwS50EDcMGE

OOC: I’m really proud of this. Don’t know how the hell Im gonna follow it up, lmao.

OOC: I rewrote this far too many times. Probably not worth making you wait more.

The crowd drinks in the sights and sounds of the foreigners like they realize their thirst for water has been quenched for the first time. At the final bow, the audience erupts into a round of applause. The clapping, amplified by the acoustic properties of the chairs, becomes almost deafening. Then, the figure of one tall, dark-haired man could be seen rising in the left wing. A few others near him hesitate before joining. Soon, everyone is on their feet, giving the Krioniki a hearty standing ovation. Everyone except one.

Minister Tchenya's appraising eyes pierce the darkness. Her glare sweeps out from her seat, at the far right of the theatre's box, to the future, to what could come. It had already become dangerous, like a poisoned blade carried for one's protection. It could be wielded against oneself. "That conniving fool Danto!" She wanted to shout. But she did not; she reasoned the show would—must—go on. Even as the red velvet curtain dropped and the lights came on, she remains seated. She would for a few more minutes. Then, she would take care of business.

The crowd floods out, ecstatic to discover more of the Krionik's culture. In the Green Ring's Great Hall, the caterers place the banquet dishes on vast circular tables. The line begins to overflow out the door. The thought of food had whet the collective appetite, and custom was the only thing preventing a mob from forming.

Upon seeing the tremendous queue, Kallipolis Weekly's Culture Reporter Thomas Vulcaph turns down a corridor, downstairs, and through the tropical air. He touches his right index finger on the door-release marked "Press." He strides into the Blue Ring's offices. Quiet. He sighs. With this semblance of privacy, he begins a draft of a new article: "Krionki make big splash at Green Ring! The standing room only spectacle brought those who sat to a standing ovation." He stops typing. His sharp ears pick up a faint sound growing louder. Footsteps.

In the Green Ring's Great Hall, the crowd's hushed tones change to anxious whispers. Everyone is restless for the reveal. Finally, a staff member's voice booms, "Attention please." The tension in the room remains perceptible, but the rabble quickly settles into silence. Once that is achieved, the staff continues, "The food is ready. However, it is a surprise, even to us. Our guest shall announce what will be served." A flourishing gesture is made to a Krioniki musician.

Yeah. I get it now.

Poland has terrible geography.

Surrounded by nations who have attacked and annexed it numerous times and only has access to the Baltic sea. It also has no major natural barriers, just plains everywhere.
