As president, I plan to ensure that the region heads in a direction where everyone can have a voice, and all can have input on how and where we continue to go as a region. The current government structure is ineffective, and nothing can get done. What we need is a robust government who will oversee roleplay and ensure that the agreed upon roleplay themes (such as realism, for example) are being followed. We need a government that will address the needs of the citizens as they arise- a government that is designed to not only respond to these needs but also implement solutions before these needs arise. Not only that, but we need leaders and officials who will ride through the highs and lows of the region- not abandon it at the sight of disturbance or confusion. We need officials who will assist players and help them improve in roleplaying– not just pointing out where they go wrong, but also offering solutions and advice to help with that particular problem in the future. Ultimately, we need a government that will be strong, resilient, and productive to ensure that the region is strong, resilient, and productive.

• A new set of rp rules & guidelines
The current set of rp rules & guidelines are not effective enough. They don't address many issues that have and will come about in roleplay, thus they need to be tossed out and replaced with something that can actually help

• A robust map and rp system
Much like the above stated, the map and rp system tends to be changing where people prefer one to the other, we can find a doable balance between the current and old– and reform the current system, much like majority of us voted for in one of the last polls.

• Recruitment campaigns to bolster population
The region, as of right now, needs people. This will only come about if we do recruitment campaigns to draw people to the Hope Federation. More people will make the region more active and make RP very interesting.

• Citizen system to ensure our members have their voices heard
We need a system to authenticate votes on our regional polls. Everyone's vote needs to count and their voice heard, but only those who are active, citizens of the region.

A Change We Need. A Change We Can Believe In. – Osmer

This region and its previous iterations have given much to me throughout the years, ever since I discovered NationStates in 2013. This was the first region I participated in, the first one I roleplayed it and the first one I had fun in. Whilst it cannot be denied that I have betrayed her trust by leaving her, I am here to make ammends and help the region in her darkest hour.

Now, let us get to the point and present what I believe are the changes necessary for the resurrection of this region to her former glory:

Continuation of the Roleplaying Reboot

Ever since I have returned to this region, I became the main force for a coherent roleplay reboot, being the one who constantly presented this on both the RMB and the Discord server, eventually leading to the recent poll that just passed, confirming the desires of the region. I have several ideas and scenarios to execute this, but it cannot be done without your voices.

Map Reformation

I have also taken over the responsability of maintaining the current regional map, ever since Upper Balkans retired from the position, providing almost daily map updates that take me no longer than 20 minutes to execute. Tied with the roleplay reform, I believe that the limitation of the map to an established roster of available nations is the way to go, the nations of course determined by those who participate in the open discussion for roleplay reboot. I am also willing to transfer the map to an even more detailed world map, even if it might take longer to manage, but I will leave this up to you.

Government Democratization

I believe that the region must run by the people, for the people. Henceforth I propose that appointments to the regional government can only happen via free and open elections, and those chosen to fulfil the roles within must be chosen by a majority of the regional population, even if it might mean that I might have to give up my position as cartographer. I also believe that any amedments to the constitution must also be determined by the majority of the regional population.

And finally, I wish to create a new constitution alongside you, the people of this region. A new Discord channel shall be created to either create or ammend the current constitution that governs this region, the choice is yours.
