I think it’s better to try than to not

Is there anything we can do to help get it going?

Y’all wanna figure out exactly what it is you want to do? If you guys can all agree on a tech level(s), if we use “new” nations or not, how we all got there, why we’re there, size and feral idea of the planet (like Vers’ idea of a big water planet with islands or just earth), and any other things.

Graag can make polls if needed (set them to less than 3 days though)
From there I can probably figure out the rest

(I'll try to think of ideas. Still not sure if I can commit to something like this or not.)
(Then again, I'm never sure about anything.)

- Well the original plan called for any tech but PT or FFT so I'm good with that.
- If by "new nations" you mean we create one's specifically for this world; that's something I'm not doing.
- Panspermia/Interdimensional portals
- Personally I'd like a near earth planet, with alternate continents, but I'm fine with any map idea that can incorporate my own Elfland map.

The above is just my opinion, as always I'm down for whatever the greater region thinks is best. Also I'm aware of the competing theory of an uncolonized planet that none of us initially inhabit that we then all settle.

(*Checks the civics, because Fanatic Xenophobe combined with militarist gives me bad vibes.*)

Anything that isn't colonial but not native is probably a case of arrival by accident/weird natural phenomenon, maybe even something like the conjunction of the spheres from the Witcher.

I forgot about something like a Witcher-esque great conjunction and now I am fully behind that as how our worlds collide.

I too like that idea.

I personally would like a vaguely Earth-like map that isn’t a carbon copy of Earth itself. I’m thinking something like the planet from Valkyria Chronicles.

You don’t get enough ethic points for that.
Fanatic costs 2 while normal costs 1. You get 3 points.

I think we should be limited to nothing more advanced than, say, Ace Combat’s tech levels. I can work with tech from the ‘50s or so to that.

But I've never used any editing software and I only know how to make maps by hand, pixel by pixel.

I used PaintZ, though it has its limitations.

-Good thing about a Nirnnian colony, I can reliably say it's MT mixed with FanT [to which extent will depend on this world's magic system] as it doesn't have the same PT baggage Nirn itself has. And I still plan on using New Pyandonea given the chance, probably going to make another puppet for it or finally clear the cruft with Vaniri into something I'll use.

-As Elfland said I'd figure it'd be a multiversal portal system of some sort, which is either suffering disruptions from some unknown source in this universe or is closed down due to the remarkably huge mess that is a certain virus. -Any of the above world formations, long as I have somewhere with a tropical climate to put New Pyandonea or whatever I try to pull out of my hat if we don't do colonies. I'm personally leaning heavily towards none-inhabited-at-first option, personally find it more appealing, a bit nostalgic, and fits with what I've already thought up. I imagine the colonies would already be set up to some extent, before the [variably] severe cutoff[s].

I'll make sure to run polls if we can't come to consensus otherwise.)
(Hm, bit of a funny scenario you could go with if we have an Earth map+colonies... Alaskans from your current Alaska colonize this world's empty Alaska, then lost contact with Alaska and set up their own Republic of Alaska? Or perhaps it can actually be a New/'Nu' Alaska if we're not on Earth.)

none of these names mean anything to me but ok

Ace Combat is not a good standard as which to judge a tech level. They have F-15s dogfighting Air carriers with super lasers. Ace combat is schizotech
