Regional Poll • What Phone do you have?

The Republic of Maniwinn wrote:Having a smartphone is one item almost all humans will handle at least once. The iPhone at least where I'm from is extremely dominate and is almost synonymous with the word smartphone but that is not the case all over the world. It will be interesting to see where the players of Nationstates spend their money.

Anyone have any ideas what the next BOPDR debate should be about?

Taray wrote:It's not just that, Linux doesn't even have the safety and security and firewalls and Windows Defender antivirus of Windows, and it's still safer, because Linux users are typically smarter and since it's an open-source project whenever a vulnerability is found they immediately patch it and bam, it's safe again.

A good number of the viruses also need to isntall themselves on the infected computer to properly work. Installing anything on a Linux system requires a user input password or for the install command to run as admin, and the only way to log in as admin is via the kernel, and again the password must be user input. (I used to use Arch Linux for a while for clarity)

there's also the fact that a number of the viruses just can't understand Linux systems because Linux doesn't have a System 32 folder and things like that.

Heyyy fellow Arch user! Or former Arch user, I'm on Arch right now.

I've used Ubuntu (Before it got made stupidly idiotproof to the point it's unusable) Debian, Arch and Gentoo. I have a sibling who'se also used CrunchBang and others as well.

I've started with Xubuntu, then moved on to KDE Neon, but recently since KDE proved what horrible quality control they have with Neon I've moved over to Arch.
