I accidentally legalized slavery. Any advice on how to reverse that, or at least how to stop feeling guilty?
I think at some point you will probably get an issue to abolish slavery though personally myself I have yet to get issue you recently finished but im confident you’ll be able to figure it out

Write it off as a bureaucratic mistake, and then wait for an issue that let's you get rid of it again, I say. If such an issue takes long to pop up, just chalk it up to some overworked bureaucracy intern not doing their job properly.
