The Community of Ludense is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its museums and concert halls, restrictive gun laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic population of 1.3 billion Ludenseans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The enormous, liberal government prioritizes Education, with Administration, Environment, and Welfare also on the agenda, while Defense and Law & Order aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Here and There. The average income tax rate is 89.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Ludensean economy, worth 136 trillion Kakawas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is mostly made up of the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 105,257 Kakawas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Members of majority races are forced out of their homes to make way for Bigtopians, small towns have started burning historical buildings in hopes of attracting tourists, signatures have been replaced with illegible scribbles, and construction of the Really Big Hadron Collider is underway. Crime is totally unknown. Ludense's national animal is the Chimpanzee, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Ludense is ranked 17,697th in the world and 148th in Democratic Socialist Assembly for Least Corrupt Governments, with 94.19 Percentage Of Bribes Refused.
