For The Salaxalans (5 April 2020, 10:12 PM)
He who has no spuds shall have no power
And shall be struck down at the final hour
He who has crisps shall live long
And at the end be big and strong
He who grows spuds shall be great
And will be he who will dictate
The path of our world so dear
Shall we live or live in fear

Untitled 1 (7 April 2020, 4:24 PM)
My mind is a bookshelf, my thoughts are the scrolls
Writings and scribblings that end up as a whole
Never once arranged neatly in a line
But at the very least I can call it mine

Untitled 2 (9 April 2020, 10:43 PM)
Far in yonder hills I see
A vision, cloaked in mystery
Of futures good and bad foretold
I wished to know which one we mold
I ventured through the endless sea
Fog and mist and grass and trees
Blocked my way to future gold
Futures never we may hold

Untitled 3 (11 April 2020, 1:05 PM)
What ever is shall never not be
What not what ever is not will ever be
But what ever is not will never not be
What ever is shall not ever be

Untitled 4, Part 1 (12 April 2020, 10:06 PM)
Why, in the future, should my path be carved out
Going to the north when I wished to go south?
Why should the world say I've always been free
Yet I can't even pick my own destiny?

Ballad of a Raider (12 April 2020, 10:17 PM)
Wandering east, following west
I am a man that all others detest
Is this my quest? Trying my best
Not to break down over failing this test?

Testing my strength, testing resolve
To take over a small region that all
Residents left, is this its fall?
A sleight of hands, the cards dealt made it call

Reaching my limits, losing my bets
Jumping through regions is making my breath
Fade out to air, I have no rest
Superiors told me that I should cause death

To this region, tag it and go
Is this my descent into madness I show?
I need to leave, I've got to know
Whatever can make this cruel cycle slow

Untitled 4, Part 2 (15 April 2020, 10:53 AM)
I am a person, an individual soul
Free to make choices, free to set goals
No one can ever try to get hold
Of the cards that I play till I fold

The Salaxalans Hath Risen (16 April 2020, 10:35 PM)
The Salaxalans hath risen to the throne
He ruleth as king, he ruleth alone
The prophesy of old hath been fulfilled
His benevolence hath been instilled

As ruler of the spirit bright
That rules the world, fills it with light
The glory of a new age cometh in
A world purged from darkness and sin

The Salaxalans hath risen to the throne
Tsar, Emperor, man of greatest renown
He ushers in a new paradise
Let Salaxalans, our great King, rise!

Haiku (16 April 2020, 11:53 PM)
Itrosomia
You forgot a syllable
Don't forget next time

Rant (17 April 2020, 1:00 AM)
Signing on, these are my first words
Deep in night, I am free as a bird
All my thoughts, unhindered dreams
The way I write, my mind streams

I feel alive, like I'm recording this live
All the things that I strive, that I contrive
I feel removed, the darkness soothes
My hand moves, I'm feeling the groove

All I really need now is a good rhyme
Even that is optional when I run out of time
No pentameter or couplets, I write down my thoughts
Have no words, all I know this is a lot

These are my mad scribblings, I feel like dribbling
A ball when I write these verses, the rain's not drizzling
Only needed a rhyme, I need to rest for a while
My hand is aching, I've noticed my style

Of writing is getting larger, my words can't fit
Have to shrink it down, okay that's it
The ambient light is colored orange
A gap in the wall, there ain't no door hinge

Back of the page, my eyesight's strained
I turn on the real lights, now they're in pain
My heart's racing, I don't know why
I'm out of breath, I draw a sigh

Not on this paper, not literal
Yet I'm still spending this mineral
It is too much, I need to rest
Well so far I am impressed

The Soldier (17 April 2020, 1:10 AM)
Could a man be less than a man?
With heaving pants, the soldier thought
Through endless wastelands he had sought
A friendly face, his own homeland.

Through endless savage drums of war
He had been ravaged, worn down to bone
And left for dead, now all alone
With nothing left but his scars

A medicine box, slyly stashed
Was all he found in underbrush
It's all I have, the soldier shushed
And quietly took the forlorn cache.

Could a man be the product of the world?
With raving sounds, the soldier yelled
The medicine flowed in his veins. It melt
His sanity as forest swirled.

He oft awoke with bloodied limbs,
A corpse of a stranger just nearby,
Its lifeless soul simply awry
The soldier prayed, for he had sinned.

As heaven scorned down to Earth
Its sneer of hope so far away
Yet by its grace, the captain said
"The boy had died, yet came back unhurt"

Could a man not be what he was?

An Example of a Poem (19 April 2020, 10:19 AM)
I

Détente (3 May 2020, 8:19 PM)
War swept through it like a plague
Land left barren as if by age
Burnt-down hamlets, murky shores
Spoiled by blood of men from yore
Hostile greetings across the line
Which tore through villages when it defined
The fate of land natives once called home,
Only soldiers were left to roam.
The world demanded peace to come,
But war of many beats words of some
A meeting scheduled, in the land of slaves
Where people toiled to their grave.
So in concrete chambers with blood-stained walls
A simple message echoed through the halls
“I’m sure you know what I’m to propose,”
“A peace deal,” he said, “I suppose.”

Another Example of a Poem (27 June 2020, 10:29 PM)
I thought I was avant-garde, when I
Wrote a poem with only one letter
It doesn't fit me nor my words nor my style
Even now I don't think I've gotten any better.

Potato Alliance (25 September 2020, 5:50 PM)
As nukes rain down from the sky
Only one group can help us not die
Led by a tuber that's greater than all
The Potato Alliance shall never fall

Duck Beaver (12 October 2020, 3:15 PM)
"Burn the Duck Beaver!" the Potato King cried
Chants from the masses for the Duck Beaver to die
No matter the struggle or hard that he tried
The Duck Beaver's last words were "Farewell, goodbye"

A Substitute Poem (20 October 2020, 11:55 AM)
This is a substitute poem. Low-end, not on par
With the poem that came before it, it can never go so far
It's ruined, a fake, a failed brown dwarf star
It's just that the first poem got hit by a car

Spud King's Ballad (26 October 2020, 9:04 PM)
What's the use of a hundred spuds
Without a plot for them to grow?
What's the use of a chips-mash flood
Without mouths for them to go?

What's the use of peeling away
Without a potato to peel?
What's the use of going astray
When The Salaxalans is here?

The Potato King Rises (3 November 2020, 1:30 PM)
The Potato King has risen once more
Atop the cadavers of spuds fall'n before
He leads the mighty Spirits to unite
I forgot the last line, I give up. goodbye

Untitled 5 (4 November 2020, 10:46 AM)
Hello, potato-poet
What a wonderful day it's been
I hope that you stay, you don't goeth
For we will crown you King

Elegy to the West (23 December 2020, 9:22 PM)
Goodbye, dear West: now, when you pass
I shalt remember what thou hast gave
What verdant pastures, fields of grass
Thou hast pillaged with thy slaves.
Goodbye, dear West: in ruined lands
Thou lie in wake; thou mark thy grave
Remember me, as I, steadfast;
Thou shalt live on; I shalt fade

Thanksgiving Dinner (26 December 2020, 6:15 PM)
The turkeys' are all sold out, no time for pumpkin pie
The potatoes have gone rotten, no beer - we don't have rye
It's really a disaster, it makes you want to cry
Except just kill your overlords and make some chickens fried

Meta Poem (30 December 2020, 2:39 PM)
How meta this is! If only I'd known
To expect such a prompt from a stranger unknown
And 'tis twice as hard to write down these lines
While searching for killers in a game that's online

The Flower (30 December 2020, 2:43 PM)
The touch of rain, the steel grey sky
The land, deserted, where none survives
Where luck controls how you live your life-
To bloom is the only way to survive.

FINAL MESSAGE (31 December 2020, 10:49 PM)
FINAL MESSAGE FROM EARTH TO ASTRONAUTS:
DO NOT RETURN. FOR WE HAVE FORGOT
WHAT MADE US HUMAN; WHAT WE HAVE WROUGHT
WAS OUR OWN DOING. DO NOT, DO NOT!

ASTRONAUT CONTROL - MESSAGE TO EARTH:
DO NOT DO WHAT? FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH
FOR ALL OUR THINGS BAD, TWO GOOD ONES ARE BIRTHED
SO WE SHALL SAY THIS: RETURN, RETURN!

I Love You (1 January 2021, 00:00 AM)
I love you.

I don't care who you are, I don't care what you do;
I don't care if you hate me, I don't care if you rue.
Beneath all the darkness, a light does shine through:
I love you.

One human species, one earthly root;
Far into space, or in ocean blue.
Beneath all the darkness, a light does shine through:
I love you.

Once more I shall say this, once more I share views!
Once more I shall write this, once more I hold true:
Beneath all the darkness, a light does shine through:
I love you!!!

Untitled 7 (1 January 2021, 9:17 PM)
The tide rushes to the shore. I see
Foam birthed from crashing waves on sand
The seagulls fly, glide upon the breeze.
They have no worries, unlike man.

I'm Sorry, Ma (1 January 2021, 9:26 PM)
I'm sorry, ma. Just pray for me
What I've just done no man can plea
To God for mercy. Leave me be
To cross this valley of sin I see.

I'm sorry, but no. Nothing more can be done
I surrender to no one but God's dearest Son
But I know it's nought. I only can run
So far from my actions. Go further - I'm dumb.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. A man is so weak:
He does things on impulse, then prays for the weak.
But words now are nothing: no more can you speak.
The future I face, alone, shall be bleak.

Untitled 8 (4 January 2021, 1:21 PM)
Goodbye, goodbye! A good day to die
The dawn of springtime, the growth of new life
The greatest irony. Goodbye, goodbye
I just ask: remember, remember why!

Inbound? (5 January 2020, 1:42 PM)
They rush by me. I don't care.
I see the darkness. I'm not scared.
Yellow paint job? Now it's red.
It's my message. Goodbye head.

Capitol (7 January 2020, 9:36 PM)
Prepare the arms! Rally the men!
Tear down those walls, o'er the battlements!
'Twas Christmas season - let's deck the halls
Today's the day that democracy falls.

Heart of Fear (7 January 2020, 9:54 AM)
The rampart's fallen. As I look on
To the sea of people - forlorn, gone
Are the hopes of peace this year
The end of passion, the start of fear

The world had ended back in May
As darkness covered peaceful days
Since then when the news we hear
'Tis not goodness, but the heart of fear.

THE HOUSE - NANCY (7 January 2021, 1:51 PM)
I walked through the doorframe. It is quite messy here.
Scattered papers, fallen bookshelves, files strewn about.
This is now my domain. Render unto Caesar.
"Knock on wood" - I did one better. I tore a piece out.

Man's First Sin (7 January 2021, 7:11 PM)
Never known life without goodness
In this garden God had made.
Gonna wonder, is it useless:
This knowledge for which I had paid?

"Give it to me," I had said
To the serpent 'round the vine.
"You? This fruit? How oh so red
Its nectar tells you what's divine."

Up above, in boundless space
Was, from what I know, God's domain.
Never had there been such a rumble
And, to follow, such cries of pain.

Gonna be honest - for such someone
As God, the greatest sorrow He did have.
"Let Me say this, Adam, as My son
I am disappointed - just not mad."

Down He went and forced the Snake
To writhe and wriggle on the ground.
Never to return, by 'morrow's wake
To Eden, was my sentence sound.

Gonna say that at that time
It was fair trade, life for power to know.
Run through my head, again, 'twas nought but curse
To leave God's kingdom just for such woe.

Around this time, I've got go back
To my little homestead that I've known true.
Desert my life for nought but rack?
I say this as warning to no-one else but

You.

Kialga (7 January 2021, 9:40 PM)
Of wealth and riches yet untold,
Whose beaches glitter as bright as gold,
And whose jewels weigh a hundred carats,
Welcome to the land of Kialga.

Ten Days (15 January 2021, 10:36 AM)
Ten days passed. A question, a question
The young traveler, weary, had asked
To the man on the mountain. Wizened from age
He trembled, stuttered; "For what reason
Have you gone all the way for me?"
The traveler, shocked, taken aback
Had no answer. Naturally, the sage
Smiled and reclined, for his wisdom had been passed.

Day (15 January 2021, 10:39 AM)
Day. Not night, when the stars do shine
It's day. Only the Sun greets us now
Clouds cover her gleeful smile, lest she
Seem too joyous in this crazy world.

Day. Not dawn, when birds do fly
And Morning Star Venus steals the show
Guiding those birds to southern skies
Before disappearing under the horizon.

Day. Not dusk, when at last the moon
Can show her glorious luminance, the tides
Bow to her temptations and sway. And we
Admire the twilight's velvet dance.

Common Era (15 January 2021, 10:43 PM)
The years of the Lord! Anno Domini
'Twas what we called our ever-present time.
But for respect for our humanity
We chose a name - slightly blander, with no rhyme.

Red Velvet (16 January 2021, 10:00 AM)
Cake. Something I hadn't had for a while
Red velvet no less, a flavor unexplored
But the conjurations of my mind give style
To an otherwise intangible concept before.

Smoother than silk, its chiffon must be
For it to be "velvet", and its bright hue
Greater than the stars, deeper than the sea
But readily available, upon the given cue.

Untitled 1, Part 2 (16 January 2021, 2:36 PM)
The Library of Alexandria - burnt down by souls
Tormented by war, unable to care
For those who have toiled to write down these scrolls
Blind to this knowledge, so precious and rare

Untitled 9 (20 January 2021, 9:07 PM)
Sorry, my dear. I must now depart
With all due haste, for trains do start
In a rush, like life. Those slow lose out
On living, and so I have I; only now
Did I realize that I have been trapped
By love; my love, for you I grasp
I ponder: is this the best choice?
For mental melodies fight, their noise
Drown out my sorrow and flood it again.
I bid farewell, my love. The end.

God Forbid (20 January 2020, 9:11 PM)
God forbid I die. God forbid you too;
United in prayer, we plead to our Lord
That we may be saved from eternal hell:
A hell we ourselves had made.

God forbid the Devil tempts me with sin
The allure of evil - but I must resist
Lest we lose out on eternal paraside.
Our heaven - we ourselves forbade.

God forbid I love anyone else
Than my true love - who's yet to exist
I must say chaste. For 'tis the chase
Of pleasure that heaven we ourselves unmade.

Departure (21 January 2021, 10:15 PM)
It's gone. As I leave my past
The memories, good and bad, all gone
Left behind in this cathedral of sorrow
I drape the curtains - for it is my mast
Guiding me through the fog
To look towards a brighter tomorrow.

Untitled 10 (21 January 2021, 10:21 PM)
I'll ask you nicely, for I do not wish
To harm your feelings even more:
What have you done to earn my wrath?
I honestly don't remember - the last I know
You were dancing in the hall
And next you nearly died in a hospital bed
What questions did I ask, and what did you say wrong
For me to nearly flatline you? I have clearly done
An unspeakable act, and I ask for your mercy
At the very least, if you don't forgive me.
Maybe it's the alcohol - I mean,
I drank a little too much, I admit.
But I didn't drive, and I kept myself in check
I even had you promise to yell this
If I were beginning to wrong you.
Yet all the words seem to blur in my mind
I don't remember a single thing during the haze
Like a dense London fog, the chime of Big Ben
Is the ringtone of my cellphone, my friends
Asking where I've been. This pleasure holiday
Was not what I wanted, and neither did you
Ask to be imprisoned in this valley of tears
Which I carved with my own hands...

Ten Thousand Word Essay (21 January 2021, 10:25 PM)
An essay with no end, and barely any beginning
No corrections, no assumptions, just the spinning
Of your mind, thinking of what to write.
The proctor sits: he knows what is right
But he just grades; our work is our own
Our writings, words, actions - written in stone.
This thousand - nay, ten thousand word essay
Is life -- so make the most of your day.

I Never Get Better (21 January 2021, 10:31 PM)
I never get better. But that's not a problem
I just say my thoughts - and the crowd applauds.
But that's not to be vain - it's my fuel
To keep me writing, and hopefully improve
No matter how impossible that may be.
I need not meter, I need not rhyme
As long as I have hope, I live, not die.

The Story of Richard Price - Intro (22 January 2021, 5:38 PM)
'Twas not his fault - but life's unfair
Coerced by friendship - betrayed by love
Born from a mother - to die from a chair
Promised all riches - scraping the crumbs
'Tis the story of Richard Price
The man who gave virtue for nothing but vice.

If You Die then So Do I (28 February 2021, 1:52 PM)
If you die, then so do I.

For once yore's joys are 'morrow's thoughts,
Wispy, whispered - then once forgot;
When bygones go and oaths decay,
'Tis when love, the heart, does stop.
As fleeting as dew on summer's day,
As futile as swans doth one belay.

If you die, then so do I.

Love, the passion of eras past;
I did have one, some time long last.
But the stone did roll the far side down,
And time does slow once time'd gone fast,
And here, I stay, clutching to the mast.

If you die, then so do I.

Why say all this? For rambling on
To one good friend, of lost eons
Is how the mind does not tire;
And the truth, revealed, is that this song
Was all for you; dressed in attire
A poem for my heart's desire.

Serendipity (5 March 2021, 6:55 PM)
The wild winds of chance blew forth. And I
Saw into the storm, the tempest's breach
And I looked onwards. There was naught.
Except for a dim glow of an eye,
Staring back, far, out of reach
And at that moment I thought:

"Perchance may be that he, that orb
Had planned this moment to see my soul.
But who knows? For it easily could be
That he, too, weathered this storm
And hoped that I, another fool
Would visit, out of serendipity."

Potat (15 March 2021, 2:12 PM)
Scorn, contempt, and a closed mind.
The follies of a modern soul
Whence did this feeling of the forlorn
Come from? For there were no signs
To forewarn of a changing tide
Communal spirit replaced by
A mentality - "I, just I"
And no longer "we". Why pick sides?
Why can't we agree to disagree?
Why do both sides remain unseen?
The modern world has polarized.

Potato, potat - a modern clash
To reject what's new and return to old
A wisdom that's not often told
Till nowadays, yet just to pass
The time, which so often leaves
So quickly. As I lay back and watch
The sun go west, the hands of clocks
Turn east, I simply sit and grieve
The loss of the day. I, bereaved
A lonesome island in the sea
Embraced in quiet fantasy.
There's only one cure for idleness: 'tis to leave.

O Captain, My Captain, Part 1 (3 April 2021, 9:19 PM)
O Captain! My Captain! I fear our trip has yet begun,
And though I know the sands of time
Are not in our control, I mourn,
For without you, I know not what is right.

O Captain, this vessel, though battered and worn,
Has endured the struggles through which 'twas thrust.
Held together by your guidance, I fear by morn,
'Twill be no more; the glimmer turned to rust.

Untitled 6 (4 April 2021, 8:14 AM)
If there is one wisdom I must pass on
It is to love all without thought.
For to hate is easy; a poor man's choice
Whereas to love is a strenuous song;
A melody which we've all forgot,
But forte through the hubbub and noise;
A solo through a broken choir,
But one which has the power to inspire.

Easter Sunday (4 April 2021, 8:20 AM)
Today, the Master rises. For He taught
Us to be kind, for us He had faught
To relieve our sins; us He did save
By taking Himself to His grave.

Wyoming (4 April 2021, 8:34 AM)
Empty pastures, rolling fields.
Whoever thought that they'd live here
Was either forced to or was mentally deranged
Because everywhere you look, everywhere's the same.

Untitled 11 (11 April 2021, 11:07 PM)
You know I do love you, you know this love burns true.
This flame, this passion, the suffering I go through
Just to be with the person that I know I love
Let it be known when it comes to push and shove
I won't give up; this battlefield of love, this tug of war
I'll run through open fire, I know I'll go far
For love has no bounds, so remember my one dear
This blaze of love knows no fear.

Bottom of the Bag (12 April 2021, 3:23 PM)
Lost, trapped, cold, alone. Failed to complete its only task.
Salty and greased. Abandoned by peers, ignored by the hands.
Forgotten by all. Mushy, tasteless, colorless, bland.
The fate of the fry at the bottom of the bag.

Ballad of Little Timmy (14 April 2021, 8:35 AM)
Through the mines, dark and damp
Holding nought but pick and lamp
The children trod through asbestos snow
In search of gems, or coal.

Little Timmy, stripped of joy
Plays with ashes, not with toys
Once he had a pet canary
But it died, and Tim knew life was temporary

Bomb Rush! (14 April 2021, 9:15 AM)
Thrill! Excitement! The joys of war!
Comrades, march on! For we are stars!
Capture the scene with brush and paint!
Take over the hearts and minds like saints!
Blood-red ink, mustard yellow spray,
The old order falls, and we make disarray!

Count your fingers, count to ten -
If you survive, run at 'em again!
The artist must sacrifice his health
To forge new beauty out of oneself!
Look at your hands, then count to three,
Remember that someday, we'll all be free.

Really Bad Poems (14 April 2021, 6:24 PM)
Today, I'll write - no, I'll make
A really bad poem I'll regret in a day.
Or maybe I'll hate it so much
I'll bury it in my book and leave it to rust.
To be fair, to make a magnum opus
You don't raise your hopes up
And try to craft it first try
You've got to practice your style.

Dying of Thirst (19 April 2021, 5:46 PM)
A young bird lay on the side of the street.
No mother, no father; alone, in rags
Kept warm by the heat of the sun
But with no-one to hold or feed
It lay there, withering, flagged,
Its story stayed unwritten, unsung.

"How many sins? I'm running out"-
A wise man spoke these words one time
It made me think of all I failed
All my disappointments, lost in the crowd
Of people that fade into the night
As the bird, I die of thirst, I grow pale.

[nation]Innocence (21 April 2021, 10:07 AM)[/nation]
How can you prove without evidence
That a man can lose all innocence?
For to think is to do, and to do what's been done-
'Tis impossible to prove what has never begun.
An action's a thought, and to think with no act-
No harm has been brought, and neither have facts.
So, in simple terms, you just can't accuse
With empty words, my client, and say that he'll lose.

The End? (21 June 2021, 8:10 PM)
The flag waved. A beacon of hope,
Tattered and soiled from years of neglect,
Disgraced by its neighbors, lost all respect,
Maybe 'tis time to give peace to the old.

I was thinking of writing a ballad for Spooky islands but I can't get the words right. Maybe tomorrow will he face the wrath of my trashy poems

Why doesn't anyone make a poem about me?!

I am perhaps one of the best poets of this land.
If you allow me, I will accept the challenge at hand.
You shall receive a proper poem pertaining properly to your nation.
You should provide key elements you wish to be addressed in the operation.

Not all rhymes will win the lotto.
This one is okay because it is my motto.

You shall receive a proper poem pertaining properly to your nation.
You should provide key elements you wish to be addressed in the operation.

Let us discuss a land you may know.
We are referring to the Federal Republic of Team Leo.
I am not awfully familiar with this place.
From what I gather they are inclusive to all genders and race.
They seem to be a land of freedom and capitalism.
And excel in manufacturing but lack tourism.
Cancer seems to be their leading cause of death.
Leo is their Zodiac until their final breath.
It is classified as an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy.
Nuts and bolts are their preferred currency.
McSizzle Town currently is the capital.
What I assume is a lion, Leo is their national animal.
I think this poem was okay.
Please enjoy the rest of your day, I will now be on my way.

You dare stand against me, you weakling?
Come back when you've learned to speak things.
I'm the official poet of The Salaxalans himself,
Spreading his glorious name to ends of the continental shelf.

JK just have fun :)

I sincerely apologize for appearing as your less talented double.
We are here for many reasons, but none of them include trouble.
I have seen your work and it is cool.
You are an epic poet and are precious like a jewel.
Continue to rhyme and spread your ideas.
I shall now retreat with the speed of a thousand rheas.

Haremm

Following new legislation in Haremm, preschools put children down for naps with milk, cookies, and a gruesome story of vengeance.
Ruining childhood since the dawn of time

This country has a point, you do not need such things.
You shall be an empty land that can only pull strings.
Just cut corners where it is “inconvenient”.
Uropya is not a place for people to vent.
Perhaps if you cared, your rights would not be so poor.
