Soughts Souble, psst, as per RMB guidelines, remember to not double-post, please! ^^

The British Empire may have brought the industrial revolution to many other parts of the globe, but it also incited ethnic and religious violence, was the cause of a number of genocides, and was overall an oppressive force for natives of the colonies. There's a reason most ex-colonial states celebrate their independence day, and why many of them fought so hard to achieve independence.

edit: and even within Britain, the industrial revolution served in the immediate term to screw over the workers of the UK, with wages dropping and labour becoming gruelling with long hours and awful conditions. It also led to the employment of children in the coal mines and cotton mills, where they were paid ten times less than their adult counterparts and were often mutilated.

I don’t know if you copy pasted this or not, but you are a great mate for posting all this text. Bringing knowledge to people is awesome.

I'm bad at reading sarcasm so I'll take this at face value; thanks!

Generally I find that while there's a lot to be proud of in British history, the Empire is best avoided; it did a considerable amount of good, but an equal if not greater amount of bad

It hasn't always been this, no, I kept certain parts to make it more personal while I added pink so I could hopefully gain an easter egg

It's fine, I'd delete one of the double-posts if I were you

I don’t think it’s confusing, I just never saw that before.
