All Creatures Great and Small is a British television series made by the BBC and based on the books of the British veterinary surgeon Alf Wight, who wrote under the pseudonym James Herriot. It was first broadcasted in 1978 and in 2020 a remake was released, also titled All Creatures Great and Small. As the books were charming, so was the original 1978 broadcast and the new 2020 reboot is equally good with the much better cinematography.
You really should watch them. :)
We each have our own likes and dislikes. It's still an excellent production of the books.

These are very good words. I have half a mind to begin a lexicon, now...
Somewhat tangentially, I love things like fictional dictionaries or imaginary encyclopedias or a fantastical atlas. Perhaps nothing excites me more. Give me a history of a place that never existed, or a biography of a fictional person, and I'm happy as a pig in pudding. For the interested, here's a few I have enjoyed over the years:
Book of Imaginary Beings - Jorge Luis Borges
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Imaginary_Beings
This one's my absolute favorite. A fictional bestiary, including things from myth, literature, and his own imagination. A peculiar sense of humor, but a great one. But then, most everything Borges did was pretty great, so it's no surprise, really. Definitely influential, later on, when J.K. Rowling made "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" -- a good work and fun read in its own right.
The Devil's Dictionary - Ambrose Bierce
http://www.thedevilsdictionary.com/
A turn-of-the-century compendium of satirical definitions to common words and phrases. Humorous in a 19th century sort of way. Fun to read through.
The Dictionary of Imaginary Places - Alberto Manguel and Gianni Guadalupi
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53086.The_Dictionary_of_Imaginary_Places
An absolute pleasure to pore through. So many wondrous worlds from the human imagination. I learned about many great books from their included entries of their fictional worlds. So it works as a kind of jumping off point for new discovery, as well.
Wow I really have to check that out it sounds really interesting
Panther, if you have time, check out "The Haters Handbook". ;)
I think that you will like it as it is autobiographical.

Never heard that simile before. I've said, "Happier than a pig wallowing in slop" and the even more fun "Happier than a pig wallowing in s**t." Does "pudding" have some British meaning other than the dessert?"

Have you heard of the Bishop of Kew
Who preached with his vestments askew?
A lady named Morgan
Caught sight of his organ
And fainted away in her pew.

ok where can I get it?
A man had two sons who he
loved with all of his heart.
Until he didn’t he
departed away away from his
discontent
he went to a place apart
from everything he
knew for a restart

I was inviting all the South Pacificians to come vote in a poll in TSP... then I realized I had left the default restriction on the poll to residents, and since folks had already started voting i deleted the post and hoped no one here would ever know my secret shame.
I could have gotten away with it, too except for those meddling kids.
*points at the scooby van, and escapes back to TSP before anyone can stop me*

Pigs in pudding is pretty happy, but pigs in donuts is happier dere. But if you put da two togedder dere and has pigs in creme-filled donuts, dat is peak pig-happiness, or, as it is somtimes known, hog-heaven.

I've never heard of it, but I'll check it out, thanks.
I just made it up :P
I said a bad word on the RMB yesterday, and didn't want to make a habit of it...lol
The above statement from the Animal Collective is correct. Cream-filled donuts are the best. And because pigs are animals of discriminating taste and culture, they of course prefer the very best.

IDK specifically. I came across a copy while browsing the stacks at my library. Check your local library system or perhaps a Google search.
That's the copy that I read. :D

Are kids really saying things are "pog" these days? Because pogs were once, for a brief period, a very important part of my life.
I have made no significant developments in trading cards, for some time. However, I did recently create this rather frivolous collection that brought quite a smile to my face as I was compiling it:
"Oh, back from the house of sadness, I see ... What do ya got for Old Joe? What do ya got for me to remember him by..?"

A pocketful of lint, one tangerine, an unopened pack of juicy fruit gum, a $2 bill, and a membership card to Blockbuster Video in Sherwood, Arkansas.

I see that you included several of my old pups in that collection.
I'll take the gum.

oooh, a $2 bill? Fancy fancy. Love coming across those things. A grocery where I used to live would make a point to give them back as change.
Actually, I have heard that the number of two dollar bills in circulation is pretty average, but no one treats them as normal currency and instead hordes the things, creating the appearance of rarity.
Someday I'm going to figure out those identities... 🔍
Very nice. Cool seeing Den, Dorig, and Lin right at the top (well, the length of the row at the top depends on how wide your screen is, I guess)
If you put them all in one collection, I'll try to figure out how to add a link to it in the WFE. Though, I understand that's an annoying process...'course, not as annoying as it once was, before Violet added the manage collection functions (praise be to Violet)

Yeah, I actually do have one of those. I think it's a really nicely designed note. My one is particularly rare version, I'm told it's worth an amazing.....$2! Buy and sell the lot of ye, I could. KERCHING! In your face Jeff Bezos!
Ahem... God Help the Girl
